Hadn't seen any trailers, and only heard about it through you an another cinephile. You've got my interest piqued. I'll update you when I see it.

I watched the trailer, believed the hype - end result last night at the cinema: Bitterly disappointed, and I wasn't the only one. If you're looking for something anywhere near the genius of the likes of Se7en or Silence of the Lambs then this is absolutely miles off. They were a different level entirely. And, for me, this is nowhere near as good as more modern horrors such as Get Out or Hereditary. Cage does what Cage regularly does - overcooks the part - and he was sadly miscast in my opinion. 6/10. Good luck with the channel and regards from UK.

I attempted to control my expectations going into it by avoiding trailers after one of the very first teasers. Also, I tried to keep my mind quite open and was honestly very engaged.
I agree that it was far from a classic serial killer film, it felt less like a detective film which I didn’t mind. However, I agree it wasn’t as scary as say Hereditary or The Witch, it was still deeply unsettling for me. It managed to make me feel that upset feeling of unease throughout. So I enjoyed it. I’m sorry it was a letdown, but thank you for checking out my review :) it is sincerely appreciated!
