Hi m.louie I am big fan of yours and want to ask you I broke my spine several years ago (the lumbar vartebrae part) and i love power lifting so much and want to know from you is it good for me and my spine to play it or not And thanks in advance
I’d say yes, just use proper form (super super important), use a good belt, keep your chest up when squatting, and don’t go crazy with volume. I know I’m not Louie but if powerlifting is your passion go for it man!
Louie said when he used only the sled, he became the strongest version of himself. Could a decathlete use 'only' the sled as a strength and conditioning tool to become world level elite decathlete?
THATGUY Your body will get into the most optimal position, where it is strongest. If you fire out of the hole and the start bending over, it means your lower back is taking more of the weight than your quads because your quads are having a hard time pushing that weight up with ease. And if your back is strong you can finish the lift, but if not you will fail the lift.
well, often times the quads will extend the knees before the hamstrings can do their portion of the work, so usually the described "folding over" is weak hammies or glutes. but being midway to completion is what makes me wonder in this case.
I learn more from 2 minuets of Louie talking than I do in an entire semester of weight lifting class
Glad you did 👊

In one of his podcasts he suggested 2 inches below parallel is where the box should be
