Thanks for saying so! I try to think really carefully about what makes the show good and what the creators are using it as a vehicle to talk about. ❤️

Hi! You might remember me as the French commentor in one of your videos (unfortunately I don't remember on which one I left a comment).
I haven't taken the time to watch your commentary videos lately, but it is always a pleasure to come back to them and see how you analyse the roles of each character and plot point with your literary knowledge! It indeed helps me to appreciate the writing of Hazbin Hotel more and to understand it better. I'm pretty sure this video about Emily will give me (and your audience) a deeper understanding of her character and her undeniable importance in the series (I'm excited to see more of her in season two). Thank you so much for the passion you convey in each of your videos! Even non-literary experts like me can easily follow along and appreciate your work, while gaining extra knowledge (that's always a big plus!)

Here’s the thing you are overlooking - Sir Pentious has been reborn as a redeemed soul in the presence of both Sera and Emmi: both of them are obligated to serve the best interests of the redeemed, which means that both Emmi and Sera now have the ability to frame their actions in the context of serving their intended purpose in Heaven. The reason why Lucifer and Vaggie fell from their former status is because they went *against* their assigned purpose and thus were punished for failure to be what they were intended to be.
What I see coming isn’t a fall of Emmi as an individual, but rather a conflict in Heaven concerning the idea of redemption itself - that many will ask just who is worthy of redemption (or if anyone is, for that matter…) and that this will shake the foundations of Heaven to the core (perhaps resulting in a civil war - one which will leave Heaven in a state not that dissimilar from the one Hell is in now): I believe that the fall will not be Emmi’s, but of the whole of Heaven itself.

Well one of the first things Emily(and Sera) would probably do is get as much info from Sir Pentious about the situation(from his POV) as possible. Facts that she can use to boost her chances of convincing Heaven’s other Higher Ups that Charlie’s plan is worth supporting. Then once some/enough traction has been built, contact Charlie to tell her of Sir Pentious’s status so they can work together on how to help other Sinners earn redemption.
Though as for how Emily could become a Fallen? Probably protecting Sir Pentious from harm, the Opposition in Heaven will likely try to kill Sir Pentious(since banishing him back to Hell will only let everyone there know that he actually made it to Heaven.) and Emily will to take "severe action” to prevent harm from coming to him. Resulting in her being banished to Hell, though Emily will probably feel that it’d be worth it, as long as Sir Pentious has someone in Heaven who can protect him if Emily should fall.

No idea when or if we'll get a second season, but I'll be fascinated to see what they do with all these characters if it comes around :)

So, interestingly enough, three more seasons have been confirmed, but we have no idea when they're coming out. Oh well

A little while after the entirety of season 1 was released it was confirmed that season 2 would take 1-2 years to finish. :>

It was confirmed we’ll have at least 4 seasons of Hazbin since Amazon already greenlit them, I recall viv saying she projects that Hazbin is a 6 season story

3:41 Interesting fact, that's exactly what Jim Jones said to his followers on the day they drank the kool aid.

That's really interesting! Which line in particular? I don't think the link ended up being specific.

@@chloeeastwood6696 Yeah, it was a sentiment from two of his speeches. One he gave while convincing his congregation to move to Jones Town, South America, and once more on the final famous day. After the CIA infiltrated Jones Town, Jones told his followers that forces in America aimed to shut down their way of life. He likened it to persecution, and suggested group suicide as a means of taking back control. An act of defiance against what Jim Jones saw as oppressive persecution.
