You do the best videos! It’s awesome seeing before and afters of different modifications. I know you put a lot of time and work into your videos, nicely done.
Would love to see a test between a stock air box with a performance filter like aFe vs the IE intake. I believe the difference in power is not the intake but more the filter.
@Todd N. the difference is there. Tested all this situations on over 250 customer cars. The open intake is always better (in power and times) as the stock box with box mod and aFe/BMC filter
As I mentioned in the video we were simply running the IE ECU & TCU tune. Nothing needs to change for the SUV to take advantage of the better flow that the IE intake provides.
Hey man. I have this exact same setup. Which TCU tune setting are you running of the three options? Do you know if there are actual differences between them?
Not sure honestly. I've let them know it happened so I imagine they'll just bump the boost spec slightly higher for everyone and problem solved. It would only happen to people in unreal racing conditions.
when you all reviewed the logs and saw that the bypass valve was opening, does this mean that you could go back to IE and get them to revise the tune to prevent that? or is the bypass valve opening just part of the ecu logic to control power? thanks! caught between 034 tune and a IE tune for my sq5 daily
I was trying to help IE by sending them a ton of logs to see if it was something they could update for everyone's tunes. I'm not 100% sure that it was updated for everyone's box codes, but I'm pretty sure it was.
@@VancityAudi thank you so much for this reply man! seriously, thank you. i have watched a lot of your audi videos and after working with so many of the tuners, what would you pic for a stage 1 ecu/tcu tune for my B8 SQ5? i was thinking 034, but man after seeing that IE car cracking 12.3's with intake and tunes only, i was impressed. what would be your choice? Thank you so much!
@@AXRBiKeCoMpAnY that's an easy one. IE hands down. Not only do they make great software and hardware, they're good people. I will never put an 034 part on my car again let alone any of their software.
And it anticipates the boost levels of an upgraded pulley. We have absolutely no interest in running tunes that weren't meant for the parts we have on the car. We won't ever do that. You want to do that? Go right ahead.
@@VancityAudi yeah. Got it. That’s the problem if you can’t do that by yourselves haha The higher boost target isn’t a problem… With timing you are right…

Thank you very much for the kind words and for watching!
You guys are awesome for taken the time to show what difference a tune and a intake makes. Thanks.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Can't wait for more SQ5 content! Love it!
Love to see a A4 B7 stage 1 with no modification . Great video
Love the videos! And the same day comparison!
Thanks for watching!
As always a great entertaining and informative video. I hope your channel takes off, u deserve it.

Sorry, we won't be testing that. We aren't going backwards. Perhaps you could test that and let us all know instead!

Awesome video as always!
Thanks!
gawd i luv ur videos
Thanks!
After watching this video I am glad I got my IE intake installed recently on my mk7.5 GTI
Do you need a special tune for the air intake or the stage 1 93 IE will detect the intake and adjust the tune ?
As I mentioned in the video we were simply running the IE ECU & TCU tune. Nothing needs to change for the SUV to take advantage of the better flow that the IE intake provides.
Love these videos!
Thanks for watching!
How did you rectify the opening of the bypass valve? Did you email IE and they were able to send you an updated tune for your car?
It hasn't been rectified.
Hey man. I have this exact same setup.
Which TCU tune setting are you running of the three options? Do you know if there are actual differences between them?
I show in the video before this one: ruclips.net/video/5FyluGlV480/видео.html
So is the bypass valve something they offer anyone a different tune for, or is that always a special call to IE to correct?
Not sure honestly. I've let them know it happened so I imagine they'll just bump the boost spec slightly higher for everyone and problem solved. It would only happen to people in unreal racing conditions.

Does the inlet option for the air intake give more noise?
The turbo inlet doesn't change the amount of noise the car makes at all.
please try b9 sq5
If someone local comes forward with theirs and wants to shoot some performance based videos I'm down!
ZF or S-tronic gear box? what is the weight of the car?

Goes to show how 60 for affects ET. My wife's mk7 GTI can trap over 110 mph but wont leave the 13s because of the 60 foot. Makes me want an SQ5 now
60ft is everything in 1/4 mile drag racing. It's part of the reason my RS3 is so quick.
Now you know what I meant with: I’m interested to see a stage 2 file without pulley :P
(Stage 2 boost target is higher -> no open bypass valve)

Next video E85?
No, there is no E85 tune for these SUV's from IE
12.3@111 not bad at all
