I have the IE carbon fiber intake on the S6, makes some great sounds
I just did the same one on my wife’s SQ5! IE has awesome stuff! It’s not super duper loud to me, but it’s a very intoxicating sound. I find myself driving with the window cracked even in winter to hear it better! But for $500 it’s well worth it! 👍🏻
I can't seem to find the cheaper one on their website but maybe they only offer the non carbon option for the Sq5? I am looking for one for my 16' S6 - not really wanting to spend a grand on the carbon one
The SQ5 is the first one available. They are working on other platforms but not all will receive it…so not sure if the S6 will or not…

Just installed pcv hose, inlet and oil housing and fuck that was rough. Mechanics deserve the cash

Thanks for the great video. Watched it a few times before tackling my installation yesterday. The turbo noises are definitely not super loud, though. I think it’s a bit misleading to create the perception that this is massively loud. The whooshes and blow off noises enhance the experience but it is rather subtle with the stock sports exhaust.
Listen to it from outside of the car. Your mind will change
SQ5 time! Can't wait to see how the Pure 750 stuff goes, with TTE710/810 being so common. I'm holding off to see how the 750 stacks up with proper tunes before pulling the trigger on a hybrid for mine.
Super easy installation with great results! The spool up sounds 👍👍 do you notice any performance improvement? Maybe a better throttle response?
Also can you provide a link for the allen ratchet that you used? Will be needing one when I eventually buy the same intake for my S5

Just picked up my SQ5 in Matador Red Metallic 2019 so I need the content
I have the IE Carbon Fiber intake and the IE turbo inlet for my SQ5, it's quiet compared the 034 carbon fiber intake. I sold the 034 because it was a little too loud plus I have the IE tune so wanted to keep it with the same brand.
Why did you choose to go all ie? I am debating between ie and 034 tune and can't decide
@@VegasStacker702 I ended up going with the IE intake and turbo inlet because I have the IE stage 1 ECU and Stage 2 TCU tune. IE didn't make an intercooler for the SQ5 when I ordered my stuff so I went AWE on that. I also have a bunch of 034 parts related to the suspension and really don't think you can go wrong with either brand.
How can it be louder? It’s just an air filter
@@atibbo The stock airbox uses an air filter as well, yet most aftermarket intakes are louder. The shape and material of the airbox, if the box is sealed or vented, and the shape and material of the air filter itself can all affect the sound of the intake.

Macan is better looking too IMO. I’m not a Porsche guy at all, but I think I’d go Macan if price was the same?

I caved in i got the sq5 tunes by IE and put there exhaust on @@IgnitionTube. Next is going for more power, installing DP, and intercooler.

Great content man, thank you. I have IE Stage 1 on '18 sq5 otherwise stock except for a K&N filter in the stock airbox. I hate the turbo whistle/spooling whoosh sound from these intakes. Is there an intake solution where I don't hear the turbo so loudly? Do you think it is worth it to do the turbo inlet to the stock airbox if I don't do an intake?

One question I have I can't seem to find an answer to is is the IE tune (or other US tunes) compatible with European cars? They differ from US cars in lots of ways so I'm curious if one could install this tune on an european model and be completely fine. Great vid btw, car sounds sick!

I have a '22 sq5. How can i stiffen up the suspension while maintaining being able to change the dampening?
Front strut brace, rear sway bar and links, drivetrain mount inserts.
Curious as to why you’d install the intake/inlet on a turbo you’re about to replace anyway?

Our intake and turbo inlet is designed and sized to make installing hybrids easy. Our inlet has adaptable flanges to bolt to any popular hybrid, and they are up to the job of supporting the power. :)
Why didn't you show a bit more detail on the hose removals and bolt installs for that aluminum adapter piece. You kinda rushed through it. Otherwise, good video.
