- Integrated Engineering just launched their Stage 1, Stage 2 and TCU tunes for the Audi B9 platform. I got to be a part of the beta testing and put it on my S5. Here are my initial thoughts on launch day. More reviews to come soon, and official comparisons in the tune series to upcoming.

@@Vaguh on the last past at the track, what car was on the right lane 😮. I really want this tune for my 21’ SQ5, but IE hasn’t put out anything yet. I would love to see your car with a high pressure fuel pump. Hopefully APR releases their high pressure fuel pump kit.
@@wastedgeniusclub6923 As far as I know as of today (early November 2021) no one has released a full ECU/TCU tune for any of the 2021 models with the 3.0T engine. I think EPL may have a beta of just the ECU tune but that's it. Makes me wonder if something's making it harder to develop for '21 m/y cars.
@@RageCage1701 Yes EPL has the a tune, but no TCU tune. 034 motorsports has a EUC tune and Lite TCU tune. Iv'e had my SQ5 B9.5 since late December for 2020 and I'm starting to get bored of it.

Hey man how do you turn the pops and bangs down? I it had one stage 2 option but it didn't mention crackles and pops and it's super loud. Almost like gunshots lol. Any ideas?
Have you run this tune on 93? What sort of 0-60 / quarter mile times were you getting before you switched to E40?

Not on this platform. There may be a need for a high pressure fuel pump upgrade to push more horsepower on e85, though.
How does this tune compare to the Apr stage 1?
Great informative videos, my guy! Did you drain the gas, or drive it down to 0 to run e85?
Had an e40 mix in it from the beta tune, then drove it to like 5 mi and filled up with corn juice. This tank ended up at e74.
Thanks for the video. I had gotten the 034 tune and am running an e40 mix but under the 93 tune. It's quite awesome but this new ie tune with the TCU seems much more aggressive. What are your thoughts comparing specifically 034 and IE? Thank you for your time!
The e85 tunes are very similar between the two. The main difference is the TCU tune options that IE has. IE has their launch dialed in more at this point. I’ll do some head to head comparisons coming up.

Yes it would
Depends on your dealer if they care or not. If you get in with the guys there they might look the other way. If you just do a stage 1 and maybe an intake, you can reverse both things in about 20 minutes total. I did it for years but my local dealer is pretty chill about tunes. I also had warranty work done while full bolt on stage 2 and I didn’t take off a thing. Take it for what it is though. One persons experience is not the same as everyone else’s. I’ve heard horror stories about getting full warranty voided on say electrical stuff because they did a cat-back. Obviously has nothing to do with tune yet they void anyway. Talk to your dealer. It’s so much better tuned!
Like someone else in the chain said, would void it but really depends on the dealer, I took my old A5 (B9, but got an S5 now) with a tune to an Audi dealer for service and they never did anything, even had a transmission problem and the warranty still covered it. If you got good relations you’ll probably be fine to be honest.
I currently have the Unitronics stage 1+ tune on my 2019 S5 and I’d like your opinion on the IE ecu tune with the stage 2 TCU tune. I’ve been waiting for Unitronics to release their tcu tune but it’s not available. When the vehicle is older I’ll go stage 2 or 3. In the interim I’d like your option.
IE has a great stage 1 ECU tune and their TCU tune is awesome too. Also, they have some ethanol blends available. I just took my s5 to the track a few weeks ago and the TCU tune is great on the road course. Also, go to a computer and check out this comparison.

I live in Oregon and have the same issue with 92 octane. What did you mix to make 93 octane?
Either, 100 octane race fuel or VP Octanium.
Hello Jeremy as always thank you for the informative content and my apologies I think I asked you this question but I just wanted to be sure. I'm getting a stock 2023 S5 with all options and I want to know what tune to puechase between the IE93 octane and 0 34 93 octane tune what would you recommend for just a very fast smooth daily driver that will not be taken to the track. I'm looking for super responsive reliable not super interested in pops and crackles. Do you believe that IE. Might have an edge since they claim to have a 2023 ECU and TCU tune were 034 only has the ECU term currently?
You really can’t go wrong with either tune. IE will feel a little less aggressive to drive around town, but have more crackles. 034 with feel a bit more responsive initially when starting out in lower gears due to throttle mapping. You will want the TCU tune if you can get it as it allows more torque through the transmission and more power. Hope this helps.

Hey there! Which tool/software did you use to unlock ECU to be able to flash ECU files over the OBD2?
I originally got an APR tune and sent the ECU to them for an unlock. However, I don’t believe you need to do that with these anymore on the B9 (2017-2019) platform. Most tuners are still working on the B9.5 (2020 +).
Do you know if you have to run 1 step colder plugs with this platform/tune?

Had a 034 intake and APR intercooler.
Which would you recommend the IE stage 1 93.octane tune or the 034 stage 1 93 octane tune if I want a smooth.very fast daily driver. I doubt I will go to the track.
I would go IE. Both tunes are going to be fast daily drivers. IE is a bit smoother. 034 feels a bit more aggressive, but for a daily, you may want to feel that. 034 adjusts the throttle mapping more, so you will get a bit more thrill in the lower RPMs.

@@yrichard6404 I feel like you'd need to substantiate this claim more. A lot of very reputable tuners are introducing more pops & bangs and I doubt they'd risk messing up people's cars like that.

What intake do you currently have? I am torn between the 034 and IE and I thought you tested both so I was wondering which one you thought was better.
I recently swapped from 034 to IE intake and inlet. They’re both high quality, but I really like the fit and finish of the IE parts.

I bought a 2019 s5 that has a APR Stage 1 93 octane tune, since you have installed APR, 034 and IE, do you think 034/IE is enough of a difference to spend the money for them and if so, which would you recommend?
The TCU tune is great and also do a lot for the driving experience, but if you aren’t planning to got to stage 2 or 3 the. APR is solid. View this on a computer.

@@Vaguh I do plan on going to a stage 2, mainly because of the IC, so with that being said, which tune 034 / IE did you like best for daily driving mixed in with some spirited driving. I do like the pops, so I was leaning more towards the IE, but I see a lot of folks running 034.

At the time of this video, the car had a turbo inlet, intake, intercooler, downpipe with hfc and nearly all 034 suspension and chasis mods.

Yes, it makes a big difference.

@@morflavo yes, IE has a stage 1 e85 map. You should consider upgrading your intercooler at minimum, not just for e85, it a weak point in the engine. It will help with your heat soak and let you make the most out of your tune.
How do you like IE vs 034? For a daily driver
For daily driving, they’re both great. IE is a little more rowdy in Dynamic and also shuts off the auto start/stop which bugs me to no end. So at this point I would get IE for daily. The data logging feature is also functional.

Not yet, but it does launch pretty hard.
The key is the not sit their and hold 20psi at a stand still for 8 second it’s not necessary.
@@93ChayZ the EPL launch control makes it super easy to not do this. Wish these guys would review that tune.

When talking about the launches you mentioned that a wider tire setup will let you launch harder and get you better grip. This really isn't the best statement because it's not true most of the time. Your grip is more dependant upon tire compounds, tire pressure, and weather/road conditions. So unless you have more than an inch wider tire it really isn't going to help - you should look into street radials or legal road course tires that will grab the road more. The muscle car community knows this (where I come from)
You’re right and I get that. For most, though, who are still running stock tires it’s relevant. I have the Michelin pilot super sport 4s and am 1” wider than stock. Been able to run the higher torque launch files without too much slip.

Does IE's Stage 1/2 tunes fix the bad throttle response (or is it turbo lag?) in non-sport/dynamic mode?
Yeah
So you would only get those crackles if is tune?
What if I down pipe and full exhaust
Without a tune you will get the same amount of crackles as stock, but with the exhaust mods they will be louder.
@@Vaguh I just got a 18 s4 but I’m not sure if it tune it’s has a full exhaust and down pipes 2 inter coolers but not sure if it’s tuned, any idea how I can check?
@@goynwa7110 only way to check your self would be if you have a cable from one of the tuners. They usually read the ECU software and list the current version in a startup screen. Alternatively you coin take it to a tuning shop, and they could tell you, or you could put the car in a dyno. I guess you could do some 0-60 pulls or 1/4 mile and compare your times to stock and tune vehicles.

@@goynwa7110 stage 1/2 0-60 ranged from 3.7 to 3.4 seconds. I’m currently on stage 3, down around 3. There are some other videos on the channel that have my track days and 0-60.
Hey buddy, I am kinda confused with those tune. Basically they are saying stage 1 and 2 are same files but why they charge 100dollars more for stage 2? What's the actual difference between their stage1 and 2

Also, I am strggling between this and 034 tune, I heard the 034 holds the shift for too long like even it is 7k rpm, it doesn't shift immediately, but seems 034's data is stronger than the IE. How do you like both tunes.
@@baidefeng3139 you’re welcome! Thanks for watching. Not sure about the data, yet. But this tune is the fastest time of all the ones I’ve tested on my car. That includes the e85 tunes from 034, APR and This one from IE. I’ll get it to the dyno and put it to work to get you the numbers. The 3.41 0-60 is my fastest so far. Lots of TCU options and so far the production versions have been great. Not diminishing 034 at all, but I feel that IE has nailed the best parts of all the tunes I’ve tested to date.
Does the IE tune get rid of cold start high rpm?
It’s still there for a minute or so.

@@anthonys5832 There is a Shell station about 3 miles away with E85. It just went up to $2.60 here. 93 here is cheaper than his E85. Crazy the differences around the country. There are only like three E pumps within 100 miles of me. This pump is really busy with all kinds of nice cars because of that. If I'm not getting the E, I'm using the Shell 93 Nitro or mixing. I recently found out about a Chevron 25 miles away that sells 95 and 98. I'm currently on a 93 tune and do a little E mixing.
Anyway, great vid and series VA-Guh man. I'm thinking about trying a second tune. Leaning toward IE over 034. I'm happy with my current ECU/TCU tune, but IE came out strong.
