Mine HB leaf blower was sparking. I took it apart and noticed the carbon brush had old carbon dust on it. I cleaned it up along with the motor and it works fine now. I wish I could find the part # for replacement carbon brushes.
Those are common Chinese carbon brushes. just measure length & width then go to any of the store sites you trust (Ebay, Amazon, Etc.) and order replacements.
FYI to anyone who tries this. there are two screws covered under the logo sticker. I didn’t know that and they broke. So I just went out and bought the Milwaukee cordless blower. No regrets.
@@whiteprivilege2665 you must have a different model because mine had no hidden screws. Its still working just needed to free the brushes & add a new bag. Honestly its crap, it blows very low CFM.
You're right! I found 2 more screws under tape, total 17.
At least he admitted it, instead of leaving HF holding the bag....for that, Kudos....:)
I agree, I wasn't expecting that. Of all the chippers I've used. It's clearly the best. I say so in my review of this chipper.

The higher setting on mine stopped working after about a 6 months.
Open it up, check the trigger. Sometimes it breaks. I just epoxied it back together. Also check the brushes Sometimes they stick.

@@HavocSun I did actually. Yours looks like a later model. The only cool thing I would saw is the vacuum. That’s a clean job
Same thing happened to me. Wet leaves did it, huh?
Yes
I took out all 15 self tapping screws but I still can't get to open.
Some our hidden pretty good. Look closer.
How many are supposed be there? Do you know? All I see are 15 screws.
