I bought 2 for some spur of moment side work, leaf pick up, gutter cleaning on what was originally a Home power wash job (always try to upsale the work). The small nozzle is great for gutter blow outs. Me and My employee blow leaves into a line pile and he or she will vacuums them up. As I move on to the next project. These little things work very well. Be careful of large rocks or other things that are not leaves. The plastic parts do not like them. In this video he is over working himself by not blowing the leaves into a line. Some can be scooped up by rakes, suck up the rest.
I bought a Toro Blower/vac about 10 years ago for $69.99. The motor finally burned out 2 weeks ago, I was going to buy another Toro but now they want $109.99 for the same unit! I decided to buy the Portland Blower/vac for $44.99 over this past weekend and I have to say I'm quite impressed with it! The Portland works just as good as my old Toro and at less than half the price!
Yeah I've had pretty good luck with mine. Part of me wishes the bag was a bit bigger, but then again it would just add weight. Cordless would be nice, but that probably wouldn't be a good idea unless it was on a good-great battery platform like Milwaukee or Dewalt. Although I have a ton of Hercules cordless stuff and love it all! I've got all Milwaukee in my service truck, but I bought a bunch of Hercules for my garage. I unfortunately bought the drill and driver BEFORE they released them in brushless, but that's another story. With the extended warranty I wonder if they'd give me brushless if my brushed versions died?? Thanks for the comment!
Got mine yesterday. Can hardly wait to give it a try. I have a xeriscape yard and I’m worried I’ll vacuum up rocks/gravel. Does it pick up rocks? I figured if I keep the end of the tube lifted off the ground a little, it might prevent that. Or maybe try the low speed to keep the rocks from being lifted.
You'll just have to be really careful. The fan blades are plastic so it won't like rocks. If you hover up high enough and the rocks are heavy enough you may be ok.
@@electromechanician. Just gave it a test run and no problems at all. We love the performance of this tool. Do not regret buying it. Yard looks super clean.

I was just showing the functionality of the vac, I wasn't really doing my yard. It is an awesome little blower/vac though.
