    I also have a matching scarf on my channel that you’re going to want to check out. It is beautiful!!
    Happy Knitting,
    Love Shelley 🥰🧶
    Note: I used rhe clover pom pom maker. I have a set if 4 and I used the third largest one. It has a litte number 65 on the back.

    Lovely hat and you are a great teacher. I've had my Addi King for several months now and have made dozens of hats however they fit small in circumference. I am waiting on my Sentro 48. Hopefully it will make comfortable adult hats.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet

      I am thinking it is because you are using tight tension. I make 99% of my adult beanies on the 46 needle and I have made ALOT!

    • @SheilaLancour
      @SheilaLancour 6 месяцев назад

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet Interesting! I have tried adjusting my tension. Anyone else find they fit small?

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  6 месяцев назад

      Lots of people say they are too small but I would say the greatest majority say they are fine. Just search beanies on RUclips and 99% of them are made on the 46 needle.
      Check out the beanie playlist on my channel. I have several different brim options for wider hats.

    This video is perfect so glad I saw this on a FB page… I’m making 3 hats for some kiddos and two of them are just like this with solid and variegated!!!! So thankful! Now I just have a question, my third hat has mostly solid with a couple rows of a white stripe. Is there a video on how to calculate stripes? Or do you think I should follow this video? Many thanks for all your videos, channel and FB page! BTW.. I’m still a newby😊 I’m not going to do the braid- too advanced yet🙃

      I bet you could do the braid if you follow exactly what I did.
      Also, check my beanie playlist on my channel. There is a green and white striped beanie. Just change the colours how you want them.

    Hello there. I just found you today when I was looking for Addi ideas. I am ordering an Addi King tomorrow. Yay! I am wanting to know how do you know how many rows to do on a regular adult beanie? Is it a measurement thing with the tape measure or another way? I enjoy the way you explain things and take it slow. Thanks.

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  8 месяцев назад

      A regular beanie is approx 9” long. Thats the basis we go off of but seriously…. it’s personal preference. Regular beanie, slouchy beanie and everything in between is what we do. Once you get your machine pick a beanie from my channel and have fun. Don’t use cheap yarn or your learning curve will be very frustrating. Start with a Latte Cake, Bernat “Premium”, Heartland, Caron Simply Soft or something that is 4 weight and soft to the feel.

    If I am doing 140 rows, do6 I change to variegated yarn and do the eight still or continue with the solid color up to140?

  • @KellieDye
    @KellieDye 7 месяцев назад

    When the hat is worn you can see spacing between the braid and the normal rows. Is this because I didn’t tight my braids?

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  7 месяцев назад +1

      There is a spacing. I would think maybe your braid is too tight if anything. Be sure and use the proper hook size. 5.5mm or bigger.

    • @KellieDye
      @KellieDye 7 месяцев назад

      @@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet OK so spacing is normal and not to worry about that. I’m trying my second hat with a braid and noticed the spacing on my first and so I thought maybe I did it wrong or I miss something that you said

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  7 месяцев назад +1

      Without seeing it I can’t really be sure but if you’re doing exactly what I show you in the video then I’m sure it’s beautiful!

    Hi, I'm a begginer with the addi knitting machine. I'd like to do a beanie for a two year old baby. Can you tell me if I've to use the 46 or the 22 needles and how many rows I've to do? Thanks so much. Lidia from Rome

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  9 месяцев назад +1

      You would use the 46 needle
      machine. The 22 needle is too small for beanies.
      So 90 rows for double layer no brim and 100 if you want a brim.
