Good for you!!! I hope you really enjoy it. I learned on RUclips and after 7 years, it's still my favorite thing to do! 💖

Thanks!
Lovely
Thank you!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you I have made 2 of them.
Wonderful!
I love this pattern! It is easy, and it is quite airy also, which is nice for a dish cloth. If the pattern is too dense, the dish cloth won’t dry btw washing off things, and get sour pretty fast. I am a beginner, and started another easy pattern, but like this one more because it’s less dense ❤️
PS: You are very nice to listen to also, and explain very well 😊
Thank you! 😊
@@AmandaCrochets …and another thing. Thanks for the stitch marker tip. After having started the other pattern that I found to be rather dense, I can also tell you that it doesn’t have very straight sides either 😂 So I immediately applied the stitch marker tip, and my work looks rather nice 😉
@@Nora-jt9zy that’s amazing! I’m so glad that helped! I know when I was a beginner I always struggled with that myself.
I think imma try this pattern out, I'm new to crochet and I want to make my mom something for :)
This would be an easy pattern to try 😊
My dear Amanda, I love pattern. This will be my next project. Keep more patterns like this coming. I love all your cotton crochet patterns. You should design some more spa items like soap savers. I've been on a soap saver kick for the past few months and have made about eighty of them. I have a question for you. When you crochet into chains, what loop do you, personally, go into? Do you crocheted into that top loop or the back bump? I'm just wondering. Love your channel and your tutorials. Can't wait to see what's coming next.
I’m glad you liked this tutorial! I’m slowly working on some new items, mainly blankets as that’s what I’m most interested in making. I may work up a smaller project here and there like these dishcloths. For the chain, I usually work in the back bump of the chain ☺️🧶
Thank you for doing this tutorial. Have you ever thought about making a blanket with this or do you have a tutorial with this pattern in a blanket? Thank you
You’re welcome! I don’t have a blanket for this stitch, but I have a similar blanket using a back loop only stitch. I think it provides a bunch of next texture to it 😊
Just made my daughter 12 of your dishcloths! Looks like she may be getting more!
That’s amazing!! I’m sure she’s enjoying them 😊
So detailed and useful, thanks so much for sharing! Total beginner here!🥰
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video!! Just curious why 100% cotton? If done with other material like polyester would it not work well?
Thanks! Cotton is super absorbent, which is why it’s recommended to use 100% cotton yarn over other fibers.
Hi Amanda. I Love this pattern and just finished making one I like how it looks, however I'm not too thrilled with the border I kind of have a hard time placing the stitches evenly along the sides where the stitches aren't even do you have any suggestions as how I can do it easier. Also, I used markers on each end of my dishcloth and the end row turned out about an inch wider than the starting row and I also counted after each row to make sure I had the same stitch count. Thanking you in advance for your help.
Hi Beverly! In response to your dishcloth being wider at the top than when you started, it might just be a tension issue. It's possible you crocheted tighter at the beginning. For the border, you can try making two stitches per end row stitch. If your dishcloth pulls, you need to add more stitches around. If your dishcloth appears wavy, you have too many stitches around. I hope this helps a little!
@@AmandaCrochets Yes it does help me. Thank you!
@@beverlysmith1953 great! 😊
Hi Amanda! May I please ask what size hook you were using to make this dish cloth? I am loving this pattern, thanks so much for sharing! 😀
Hello! I'm using a size I-9 (5.5mm) crochet hook for this pattern. I'm glad you're enjoying it :)
@@AmandaCrochets Thank you ☺️
Hi can you do a updated video on how to make a wash cloth that has 2 or more colors?
Of course I can! I'll add it to my rotation :)
I'm taking this pattern I've made some washcloth e but I'm making a blanket with the stitch would you do tutorial for a blanket with this that would be awesome like a regular size blanket not a baby blanket I'm using caron cotton cakes thanks
I could always add this blanket idea to my ever growing list. Thanks for the suggestion 😊🧶
Amanda, what a great teacher you are. I love your tutorials, your voice is very soothing and you are patient with your instructions. I have learned so much from you. 😊
@@louisepotter6356 thank you so much! It means a lot to me 😊🧶
So is the count 27 across for 16 rows for the small one?
Yes that’s correct 😊
this is a lovely pattern and so easy to do. I do have a question. i think i'm doing the smaller one for the dish cloth, i chained 28, but when i count the stitches, i only have 25 when i do every row . am i doing something wrong
I hope I’ve answered your questions on Etsy. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have 😊
@@AmandaCrochets yes you did. I sent this message before finding you on etsy. It worked out wonderfully. Thank you again. Though I did lose count on my rows, lol
How would i finish it off if i didnt want to do the boarder?
If you didn’t want to add a border you will make your last stitch, cut a long tail and then slip stitch it and pull tight to form a knot. Then you will weave in your ends.
Will this pattern be suitable for a blanket, or do you think a blanket is too heavy when you use a pattern that uses the back loop only?
Yes of course! I’ve made a few blankets in the back loop only and they turned out great. If you search on my channel “rainbow dreams baby blanket” you’ll see an example of this. Happy crocheting 🧶
@@AmandaCrochets thanks 😊PS I have made several dish cloths, and really enjoy this pattern 😊 It’s simple and uncomplicated 😊 But I started one in a very dark navy yarn, almost black, and find it a bit difficult to see the stitches in the dark yarn, so that’s a lesson learned for me 😊
@@Nora-jt9zy I’m glad you’re enjoying this! With darker yarns, it can be a little difficult to see the stitches. I’m working on a project using black yarn and it’s a little tricky at times. Definitely have to work on it when there’s good lighting lol
Hi Amanda can you crochet single crochet squares together
Yes you can! This is how you can sew them together: ruclips.net/video/494pqpOgMt8/видео.html
What size of yarn is it like 4 or 3 thanks
I used a size 4 weight yarn for this project.
Can you make them bigger for a larger dish cloth if so how many chains would you recommend thaks
Yes of course! You can make these any size you’d like. You will chain any amount you’d like and measure how big you want them 😊
Thanks what size was the yarn ws it a size 3 or 4 you did not tell inthe vedo Thanks love 😘❤watching your show 😀
@@joannmedley7888 this is a size 4 weight yarn 😊
Ok thanks
@@joannmedley7888 anytime!
How much this one ?
The Small: 7×7 and the Large 8×8 sizes
wait i know I sound rlly dumb but what are dishcloths?????
Dishcloths are usually used to wipe down countertops and other surfaces. Some even use them to wash their dishes with as well.
Good pattern….only problem is the camera going in and out of focus…thx!
Thanks!
