@@heavensbambi it means to make a chain of any number that is divisible by 3 and then add two more. This is only if you want to change the size otherwise just follow as instructed in the video.
I used a combo of your written pattern and this video and was successful! Beautiful cloth. I found the first few rows the most challenging with my cotton, but once we started working into the clusters it was really simple and went quick after that. Thanks so much!!
Really lovely pattern! The stitch looks so great and is perfect for a cloth. I was surprised at how much cotton it used up while crocheting it. But it's nice and thick for washing up 👏🏻 Thanks for the tutorial!
Love this pattern, and your video.. Just wish you went a wee bit slower when doing each new introduced stitch for us who might be newer, less experienced with crochet, or reviewing after quite a lengthy period of no crocheting.. ❤️🥰 But absolutely lovely pattern.. And I'll give it a try.. 😊
Thank you so much for the feedback what I might suggest is to put on the captions and then there is a setting in RUclips where you can slow it down but I’ll definitely keep this in mind for next time. Thank you so much for taking the time to give me the feedback hope you have success and reach out if you have any questions, XO
Lovely pattern & so well explained.thank you. Greetings from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 PS what are the names of the colours you used. They are quite attractive together
Thank you for this lovely tutorial. I made this cloth and it turned out super cute. I’m still kind of new to crocheting so I have one question. The sides that aren’t the top and bottom parts..were yours neet so you could sc down them easily? I had to guess where mine went bc my sides were messy. There was no real place to put my hook lol. I hope this made sense.
It totally makes sense and is something i still struggle with - i would go slow and check every 10 rows or so to see how it looks - rip out and go back if it is stretching or puckering. Hope this helps
I do not care for worsted weight cotton for dishcloths. It’s just too heavy. It takes too long to dry. I prefer DK weight cotton yarn. Do you think that would translate with this pattern?
Do you knit? And if so, did you learn to knit before crocheting? The reason I ask- I crochet like you do, in the manner of using your left hand to throw the yarn over the hook. It seems somewhat unusual in the crochet community online, and a tiny bit slower? (Instead of using the hook itself to grab the yarn). I thought it was just a personal quirk in how I learned to crochet (from books, so many decades ago :) But I recently ran across a comment somewhere that mentioned this being a knitter's move- and that made perfect sense :)
I do net and I did learn to net far before I could crochet. I love knitting and I do it to relax. The only problem is, is that if I flub up I have a hard time fixing it :-) a lot of people seem to be mentioning lately about my hand movements and the way I wrap my yarn. It’s so funny. Perhaps I should try the other way. I don’t know but it does say yarn over not hook under lol thanks so much for being here. I hope you made the dishcloth and that you love it. XO.
I do that too-and I’ve never knitted. I think maybe I’m trying to save movement in my right hand since I got a repetitive strain injury a few years back from crocheting.
I like your voice, and you have very pretty hands, but for some reason the way you flip the yarn around with your hands constantly moving like that just distracts me and I stopped watching. It is a beautiful stitch and a beautiful dish rag. Thank you.
i had to zoom and rewatch ends of rows multiple times because she seemed more concerned about how she looked rather than showing the placement of the hook. It was frustrating. I finally gave up.
Hi Iris - thanks so much - I do usually put in the title if it is Easy or beginner but I will try to repeat that at the beginning of the videos in the future.
I wish you’d give better explanation of what you are doing and why. It felt like watchers were left high and dry trying to navigate the sides during the finishing rows. It’s clear you understand the process, but I thought tutorials were to teach the process to others. Very disappointed.
Hmmm, seems pretty clear to me. Perhaps you just need to stop the video after she says "continue on until the end of the row" and then pay closer attention to the remainder of the video that shows how to complete the last stitch, chain 1 and turn your work. 👍
A multiple of 3 + 1 would be 28 chains (9*3=27), not 29. Should this actually be multiple of 3 plus 2?
Yes! I am going to pin this comment! Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention! :)
okay so for people who have dyscalculia what tf does that mean

@@prettydarnadorable oh bless ur heart and I wish you become a billionaire
Confused now, is it 29, or 28 chains to begin? 27 + 1, or 27 + 2?
Making for a gift to my sister-in-love.

I completely agree the first few rows are always a little difficult for me too!
I recommend this dishcloth! I completed it in one afternoon! Thanks so much for posting this design.
Wonderful! Thank you so much 😊

It does eat it up I agree! But I'm so glad you like it :)
I am a beginner at crochet and was able to complete this pattern! Very pretty design, it does use quite a bit of yarn but I love this dish cloth.
Thanks so much, I’m glad it was easy to follow!
Thanks, i love it. I have ideas for my new kitchen because i have old crochet towels lol😂😂😅😅😅😊😊😊
Sounds great!
Thank you so much for sharing this. You are excellent at teaching. This is hands down the nicest crochet dish cloth I've ever made.
Very cute dishcloths. Love the patterns. Thank you for sharing❤
You are very welcome! So glad you like it :)
This is so cute. I love the colors you chose as well. These will make nice gifts & I’ll make some matching dish towels too.
That sounds like a lovely ideas! To have a little fun with it try using three colours and change each row - it looks so pretty!
Love the stitch. Thank you for sharing ❤
💖 So glad you like it!
I love how you teach and your patterns! I have had great success 😊Thank you very much for sharing! Hope you enjoy your weekend. Btw, love your nails 😊
Well thank you :). They are press on nails 🙃
Try a metal hook. Glides smoothly with cotton.

So…a “long double crochet” is not worked any differently than a regular double crochet, is that correct?
Try using Clover Amour hooks for cotton yarn. That might help.

Greetings from Oakville Ontario :). They are Loops and threads Capri Cotton in bubblegum and they other is just light grey and cream :)

You could totally use that yarn - just start with more chains at the beginning :)
Hi. Where did you get that gorgeous Red Canadian Maple Leaf hook???
Thank You. Love from Ontario, Canada ❤❤❤
I believe that one is from Fabricland - Ontario here too!
@@prettydarnadorable thanks
I would use 100% cotton yarn not worsted. Beautiful pattern.
I used worsted cotton :)

Hahahaha😂 too funny and true...
Ditto. The wrapping is too much to watch.
When you are doing a tutorial you should put the skill level down. So people that don't know how to crochet will know what level your tutorial is.
