"The sperm donor" 😂😂
So at this point in the series, Richard has taken a guest lecturing position at Yale, and Rory signed up for his class. He was teaching when he had the heart attack.
And Christopher is 1000% in the wrong in this episode, but the lengths they go to show the differences in his and Lorelai's marriage and Logan and Rory's relationship are a bit much for me.
Sperm donor is so annoying, like okay you were mad and it’s not surprising you threw a fit like the baby you are but turning off your phone when not only do you have a wife, but 2 CHILDREN, one of them barely 5-6 is actually crazy, what if that baby needed you? Jeez. He reallyyyyy pissed me off.
Emily was being pragmatic. Her and Richard had a plan and she was sticking to it... She was also right when she said Lorelai didn't know anything about being a wife!!
Emily is (almost) always right, as The Queen that she is.
I also think it's her way of showing him love and coping with this stressful situation. It's the things she has control over while she sits around in the hospital.
Yeah, when Richard had his first heart scare, Emily was not in control.
They clearly worked out a plan, and her way of not falling apart in this moment, is to control what she can.
In S01 E10 Richard had his first health scare.
Richards reminds her "we have to be practical". He talks about insurance information and his will.
Emily "forbids" Richard from dying and says she "demands to go first".
During this second health scare, she may seem "too chipper" but she is practical, preparing for both scenarios (he lives - he must eat more fish, he dies - need the will etc).
Mean. It's her first time getting married. Some people just take time ❤
I have a similar recurring nightmare that I haven't gone to my college class all semester, and now it's time for the final exam. I assume it means I'm afraid of failure 😂
I have this recurring nightmare as well, but the crazy thing is that I NEVER had it until, oh, about nine months ago? And I've had it several times since then. I am 34 years old. I haven't been in any form of school in five years. And NOW is when I start getting that dream? XD

I have that missing class dream, but because I'm a teacher, the dream warps to the point where I'm repeating high school at the same school i'm teaching at...it's horrible

Did you know that there are some people in this world who literally can't stand hearing about other people's dreams? I honestly can't understand that at all. Personally, I find it fascinating.
I don't have the "missing class" dream myself. Probably cause I was homeschooled. But I did spend more than a year in a foreign country, and every so often I'll dream that I went back and I'm super frustrated and lost because I've forgotten the language.
I did not know that. Seems our dreams want us to have anxiety.

As somebody who did skip a few college classes, my recurring nightmare was that I didn't actually graduate from college. 😅 I have the diploma yet keep doubting it's real.
I don't think I've ever seen my diploma, now that you mention it. I kinda just handed the envelope to my mom for safe-keeping.

My school related recurring nightmare is that I’m a sophomore in college and I forget that my classes are different from the year before, so I miss a class because I haven’t been to that building before and I get lost. Yes, I am Rory.

I still have the high school dreams like that. Because I switched to a new school my senior year, I'm constantly seeing that school in my dreams - how big it is, the maze of hallways, and as I'm making my way down what I believe is the correct hallway, I forget my schedule. We have A and B schedules that were interchangeable so I'd become lost, confused, Is today A schedule? B schedule? Is that math? History?! I can live without those dreams
So could I. Just stress over nothing.
my version of the forgotten-class recurring dream is based on the fact that I dropped out of college 😂 so in the dream I’m back at home and my mom says “okay even though you’re not going to college, I reenrolled you at your high school for some AP classes so at least you can still get credits. the exams are today” 💀

Oh my gosh, (3:00) I had a very similar dream that kept coming back for a long while! Same thing, I hadn't attended this one class, but just because I didn't attend it I was held back year after year and I was still in high school (in my early 20s, which I am now)... This terrified me for whatever reason lol

Emily's moment in the gift shop where she let Lorelai know what it means to be a wife is her only redeeming moment in this episode. She is of course stressed, upset, and struggling but she keeps it together because she promised Richard she would should this ever happen again.
I developed that same fear dream, but in college! I would dream that I signed up for a course and forgot about it....repeatedly

I've had the same dream a couple times that I go into work at ShopRite a grocery store, which I haven't worked at in at least 12 years, and find out I missed a shift somehow read the schedule wrong and I'm freaking out. Then I wake up and I'm like oh yeah I'm not in high school anymore I own a house and I work full time as a therapist.
Google says it's a fear of not doing something in our life we wish we were doing.
i see from the comments that a lot of people have the same type of reoccurring dream as you :D i do too, but for me it's ALWAYS middle-school and it's ALWAYS PE classes. right before the end of the year i realize i've been getting mostly failing grades and haven't been going much to that class at all, and i start freaking out that i'm doomed :D i guess we're all subconsciously a little traumatized by our schools, lol.

Personally my husband and I got very bored after season 6 ended. The whole “Luke and lorelai will they, won’t they”, At this point Rory can do and say what she wants and still be labelled as the good obedient girl and they just randomly plopped the Star Hollow drama here and there to make it “funny” and light hearted.
