"the sperm donor" 🤣 love that it doesn't take watching the whole series for you to get just how absent a father Chris is.
"You two are girls" - I love how everyone plays their part as long as Misses Kim agrees.
Fun Fact: David Deluise (Mr. Russo) is Tj's brother in real life
I’m actually really proud of Mrs.Kim in this episode, she really fought her instincts to control her daughter and didn’t yell and criticize.
❤
Real growth for her!
love her character arc over the series.
I mean she threw her out. She could have figured that Lane can not afford her own place
This episode is one of the best examples of why I love Luke and Lorelei. The chemistry was always there and they genuinely loved being with each other. But the true relationship of the show is Jess and Luke. From the moment he showed up until a year in the life, they both have grown together so much. I love it.
Dude your voice is so soothing. I watch these just to hear your voice, but I also love Gilmore Girls so it’s a win win 😂
yes 🎉
Me too. I especially like his voice when he goes, "hmmm".
Ha! I thought I was the only one. I listen to the smooth operator like a podcast when work is stressing me out
Milo's acting is crushing me in the last scene
Fun fact the woman talking to Patti at the beginning of the episode is Scott Patterson’s (Luke’s) wife (before they were married (I do believe they weren’t married yet)
The way your singing of "I Don't Dance" fit perfectly with that scene had my screaming!
FYI, this episode is immediately before the one where Dean cheats with Rory.
Exactly. Context matters lol Right before Jess showed up, Dean was implying that he can “do what he wants even while he’s married.” He was being the “Dependable Dean boyfriend” and not the, “I’m Married Dean, and we’ll take this food to-go because Lindsey is expecting me back after dropping you off and actually, let me call her to see if she wants something, ” husband that he was supposed to be.
Dean’s been setting up his “Get Rory,” arc for a minute now.
@@tybrown7112huh?????
@@jenbialek I’m saying that rather than Dean being a good husband with boundaries - he was sneaking around and leading Rory on. By the time Rory sleeps with him she was yelling at Lorelai about his marriage being over and how that’s her Dean. 👀 Why? He was bad mouthing Lindsey and proving to Rory he could still be in her Yale life. 🙊
so happy you liked this episode! it's definitely a good one. the character interactions are all spot on. "you two are girls" 😂
The I don’t dance references we’re much appreciated
Came here looking for this comment! 😂
Tana, Janet, Paris, and Rory were all suitemates
The innuendos were off the chart this episode!! 😂
The 'dad from Wizards of Waverly place' is David Deluise, real life brother of Michael Deluise who plays TJ. Both also appear in the tv series Stargate SG-1 as does their brother, Peter Deluise, who was also an actor, writer director and producer of the show. David and Michael don't play brothers on the show though, like they do on Gilmore, and as far as I remember, they don't share screen time together at any point. Michael and Peter Deluise do however share screen time together I think, they definitely at least appear in the same episode.
I have no idea if you or anyone else cares about this but Gilmore and Stargate were both hyperfixations of mine at various points so might as well share the knowledge. 🤷♂️
I’m also ashamed of how long it took me to realize that David and Michael Deluise were the sons of the actor Dom Deluise!!!
Now that you mention they're brothers, I totally see the resemblance.
@@melinewaller1129 If you see pictures of him when he was young there's a really clear resemblance
You should do an Episode of 'A Year in the Life' - would love to see your take on it 😂
One of the things that really bothers me is how terrible Liz is to her son, Jess, etc but then when she actually shows up in the show, they paint her as a real nice lady
I agree. I never understood why they painted her in a bad light by all these stories where she was a terrible mother and then they introduce her as a normal woman/mum. I was hoping she’d be some kind of dead beat crackhead who starts to come to her senses in 1 season when she moves to Stars Hollow!
@@filmlife1000 you seemed to miss the fact that she's nice but she's always put men over her son all these years. She admits it but they expect Jess to just get over it
There is one episode, that I like falling asleep to. It is : "Love and War and Snow"
You should watch s2 e18 back in the saddle again!
I am currently rewatching GG with my boyfriend and every episode I’m like “I have to tell Tag to watch this it’s sooooo good!” lol fr though I would watch you watch the whole series from start to finish.
The JavaJunkie chemistry of the episode is off the charts! I get second-hand tingles.
JavaJunkie is CRAZY. I haven't heard that term outside of nostalgic reddit posts in almost 15 years istg! Long live L&L!
As an aside, Luke (his actor) delivers some of the best lines in the series & the 4 part sequel, when it comes to devotion, loyalty, & love. He has a way of narrowing the focus to that moment, and you just get the sense of how solid & intentional Luke is. That scene with Jess is one of those moments.
0:54 That's Kristine Saryan! Scott Patterson's (Luke's) wife
She's pretty!
That's not the town troubadour, he's the troubadour's/Taylor's Van Halen-haired usurper!
I could watch you watch every episode of this show. Love the commentary and the soothing voice.
I'm happy to hear that.
I just watched this episode last week and had the same reaction with the stripper. In the day time. At the diner. Where everyone can see?
Yay, more Gilmore Girls!🎉
There's a lot of honesty in this episode. It's comforting. It's also one of the few episodes where Rory seems most like her original teen self (a la Season 1 before they nerfed her from 90s independent teen to 2000s conformist) because she actually expresses herself freely instead of people pleasing, being evasive, or apologizing for speaking freely.
Not Jess looking very Kristen Stewart-y. 😂😂😂
When? Which part?
@@imibee518423:08
This is my favorite episode of the series (followed very closely by the next ep). It's just so comforting. 💕
I love this series so much :)
I'm glad.
I just realize it's one of my favorite things when you say something is crazy 😹
14:42 the answer is...AWAY😅
This was one of the funniest and enjoyable reactions to watch! I cracked up laughing multiple times 😂
I'm glad you like it.
you singing HSM2 oooh I am so proud
I've never seen the movie, I just know that song.
@@notthemovie You really should, those movies were ahead of their time and peak disney* quality
@@notthemovie the fact you haven't seen it but know the song so well is v impressive! i wouldn't mind an hsm reaction series.. just sayin' 😉
Thank you for recognizing the Wizards of Waverly Place dad!😊
You're welcome.
Your videos are great. My boyfriend and I always say “we don’t do that anymore” it’s become an inside joke. Thank you for the content
You're welcome.
I love that episode!!! One of the best. The best!
luke’s little ʰᵉˡᵖ after the wedding song has me in tears 😭
This is the episode before Luke and Lorelai get together and Rory has her first time with Dean, it is on this channel too
You have a great singing voice!!!❤
Thank you.
I would love it if you watched some Always Sunny in Philadelphia at some point!
Only taking recommendations from Patreon. So, if its mentioned there.
@@notthemovie okay
Great episode. I love the waltz with L&L. And YOU SANG HSM 2 OVER THE BEST SONG OF THE SERIES 😂 Love your vids. I’m going to be sad when you’re done with Gilmore Girls.
Thank you. I couldn't put the song in because of copyright.
@@notthemovie well. You have a nice voice. So I forgive you. Ha.
You should watch season 6 episode 8 let me hear your balalaikas ringing out. You might like Jess after watching it.
Already saw that one. I'm not sure if I was able to put that one on RUclips, but it's definitely on Patreon.
OH HECK YEAH BUD
More! 💕😌
❤
Rory would have been better going off with Jess. He really was ready as we see in later episodes.
I agree
Please watch season 3 episode 16, The Big One
As much as I enjoy the Gilmore Girls videos, could any of the patreons suggest some Buffy episodes?
Luke can waltz!
The girl you that was Lorelai is Luke's wife IRL
That's cool, thanks.
GG now makes me sad. Lorelai is annoying even if I admire her independence and strength.
And seeing Rory at Yale makes me miss Uni as crazy but sad when I think about the revival and how she ends up.
Jess was the perfect boyfriend for Rory
Yes. And no. And then again yes. 😂
They were together in real life tho. Alexis and Milo
it's worse than jess, it's dean.
I love how much you hate Jess😂 He IS the worst. (That's my unnuanced take. My thoughts on Jess are actually much more complex. But I don't like him)
...also, season 5 ep 8, The Party's Over. That is one of my favorite Rory/Dean episodes
And Logan!
I don't like him either. It always makes me crazy when Jess fans go on about how he convinced her to go back to Yale after she quit. They conveniently forget that a couple of years earlier Mr. Wonderful was trying to get her to quit Yale and run off with him to work in New York. Yeah, he really understands her, lol.
@@LB-gz3ke THIS!!!! I thought that was so hypocritical of Jess. What gave him the right to judge ANYTHING she was doing? Just because he wrote a book? Man...go on somewhere, Jess
Fun fact the woman talking to Patti at the beginning of the episode is Scott Patterson’s (Luke’s) wife (before they were married (I don’t believe they were married yet)
