I enjoyed this video very much. You provided a way to create this scarf without so much bulk around the neck. No one has ever addressed this b4. Awesome. However I had several questions in areas you did not cover like: 1. Yardage of fabric; 2. Size of towel used; 3. What size towel did you use?; 4. Did you cut the towel b4 sewing into the scarf/boa?; 5. Did you create a 1/4" hem at the ends of the scarf b4 sewing the towel into the scarf? I would so appreciate the info to the above questions.
Good design. Directions lack specific details shown and spoken regarding seam placement, boa end trim and hem before inserting towel and adjusting fit of towel in the opening. Easy enough for an experienced sewer so I had no problem. May be more of a challenge for a beginner. Ultimate results are nice. Thank you.
I could really do with one of these. I don't know how it happens but I always splash water around!!! With one of these around my neck I could quickly mop it up before it becomes a running disaster. Great idea.
thank you for this tutorial. I have searched for a tutorial that shows how to narrow the fabric at the neck. What are your seam allowances? Do you turn the ends in an inch before inserting the towel ends? Do you use a longer stitch length when doing the top stitches over the towel ends? maybe a walking foot? Is a heavier needle needed for the thickness?
So I taper back in leaving it bout 5 inches I recall. I use a quarter inch seam allowance if I am doing a top stitch otherwise it is a half inch. Yes I turn ends in before finishing the towel piece. My machine doesnt need the walking foot but some might. I used a normal needle
Love this tutorial ! Thank you! I didn't hear how long and I don't see it in the questions asked😢 So I guess I will make it as long as I want it... 🧵🧵🧵🧵😊
@@CreateitStudioinAcmeWa i saw this video with a very good folding technique/style. I'm going to do it that way, but follow the above green roof farms video to make the graduated neck for the boa towel ruclips.net/video/MD2DfpOx-PA/видео.html. I think this one is the best video I've seen.
@@CreateitStudioinAcmeWa It is interesting how many people ask the same questions, which would be answered if they just read thru all the comments and paid attention on the video.
I like the way you made the neck narrower. I have one that was a gift but I don’t like the way the neck rides up the back of my neck...it gets hot.

Totally agree, because I am new to sewing. So I am having a hard time.
I hope you go through this okay and the video helped.
I have made a lot of these but now I need to make one using directional fabric. How do I cut the fabric to get the correct results?????
You didn't show what to do with the raw edges where the towels are inserted.

Best way to make this. Like your design best. Just wish it wasn't made using the keyhole view but short video so was ok.
:-)

It's really a preference. I use a 42 inch long piece of fabric and tuck in ends to achieve my length
hi..your videos are awesome. I love them. can i just ask how long is the length of the towel that you have cut.
It is a normal kitchen towel that I cut in half... :-)
Question: Do you use 2 towels or do you cut 1 towel in half?
I cut one in half
How did you fold your towel before sewing into the ends of the fabric?
Thirds

Are the edges raw where you insert the towel?
Great video. Question. With your printed fabric. Did you wash it first then iron before you begin to cut?
I would
