Dude you just passed on a couple of classic obscure alternative music! The Men They Couldn't Hang '' How Green Is The Valley'', and Scritti Politti's ''Cupid & Psyche 85''. Grab 'em!!!
That sucks. Yeah those bins are becoming harder to find. I don't mind spending money on decent records. But I do enjoy finding new records that are in the bargain bins!!
Great flip video. You passed by some great records that I’d check out. That’s the great thing about collectors, we’re all into different things. Cheers.
@@GerrodCarper Jerry Reed, Jackie Wilson, Earl Scruggs, Marianne Faithful, Phil Ochs, Rodney Crowell, Rufus to name a few. You picked some good ones. Just subbed you. Where you doing your digging?
I always enjoy watchin these type of flip videos and seein others tastes and what i would of picked up.. marianne faithful and jackie deshannon are both great. Nice bonus that they are indeed very easy on the eyes :)
Always good to see a fellow flipper, crate digger and sampler see what's what. May well have seen this video before not sure. You had a good ponder on Marianne Faithful there too a good looking woman. You are aware she ended up homeless in the 70s before returning to music business successfully. Best thing is the stuff is alot different from here in the UK. Cheers, Martin.
If condition were good I'd take the Ernest Tubb album, Homer&Jethro and some other country records. There really wasn't much of the easy listening music usually found in the cheap boxes.
Its amazing how the dollar bins there have the same records as i see here in PA. Ithink i did see a Duane Eddy lp you passed on other than that you did ok. I have never seen that Grover Washington lp.
The ones you missed are Manhattan Transfer, Esther Phillips, Brook Benton, Hugh Masekala, Rod McKuen, Gary McFarland, Modern Jazz Quartet,Dan Fogelberg, Michael Franks, Jackson Browne. I could not pick out some because it was too fast for me. However music is a matter of personal taste.
It was bad enough that you passed on that *Brook Benton* LP. But then when you did the same with the *Jackie Wilson,* I had no choice but to check out right there & then, brotha.
I'm not sure what it is you are after. That Louis Prima album The Call of the Wildest is the one that's worth forty bucks. The Wayne Fontana, as well. If you are looking for great stuff to listen to, you passed on Hugh Masakela's Next in shrink!
The albums in my area are far and above $1.00. The sellers have way too much incentive to let their albums sit at a price of $5 to $10 for common, plentiful albums that you can find everywhere. Wish I lived in your area.
Worth no nothing in the US ut seems but i could move them Chet Atkins oieces for 10 US all day in my country. If only they had same day shipping lol... ...
Because these musicians have been getting paid for their material for years and years. Most of those musician in those vinyl bins are no longer on the Earth.
@@hasseelmerson People pay a dollar for records people pay 300 for concert tickets. Thankfully these records are still available to purchase and not tossed in the garbage
@Hasse Elmerson These are used records with defects such as scratches, cover damage, etc., which is why they are so cheap! Apart from that, whether the used record costs $1 or $1000, the musician / artist gets nothing in either case, because he already got paid!
So so many missed opportunities and missed $ in just the first few mins alone, SMFH I can't believe I initially subbed. More than a few LP's booking at $200 plus by Goldmine Standard were just passed up...can't SMFH enough
You need to realize I pass tons of records I already own. I do have a healthy collection already. I'm not going to purchase the same records again. And secondly. Your style of music could be totally different then mine. These $1 records are worth $1. All of them are common in my area. And most are very damaged that probably won't even play correctly.
Dude you just passed on a couple of classic obscure alternative music! The Men They Couldn't Hang '' How Green Is The Valley'', and Scritti Politti's ''Cupid & Psyche 85''. Grab 'em!!!
Absolutely nothing obscure about either, literally the type of stuff you see in every dollar bin across the globe.
Cool vid - but what’s the jazz track in the opening footage? 👌

Yeah I was surprised to see a few good ones. Lot I already own. Thanks bro for watching the video! 👍
@@GerrodCarper the pleasure is mine. Great video and I'll be watching more.
5:45 you passed this!!! And Marianne Faithfull!!!!
You should have grabbed those Marianne Faithful albums.
I would have grabbed that Scritti Politti...It's got Perfect Way on it. Subbed
Unfortunately our local record store dropped the dollar bin late last summer. I picked some great lps while they had it.

Pretty cool spot. I did grab a few other decent records off camera. Nice wide range of music
I love the dollar bins. They've got hard to find in CA.
Yeah I know. I looked around the other record's and got a few more. But I love the dollar stuff. This spot was in yuba city. 👍
I''d been all over the Pete Seeger and Maryanne Faithful albums. Jim
Dude! We need more of this videos! Cheers from Chicago man!
Right on man! I'll do my best! Cheers from California! 🍻🎶

I already have both of those records. 👍😁
But at a dollar in good nick they make great flips in the future. Buy and trade brother. This scene is growing exponentially....
While I didn't see anything awesome, I still would have grabbed about 50 of those for a buck
Chet atkins,Horace silver?, jimmy smith?Errol Garner,Herbie Mann, your killin me
Lot of those records I already own. Common records in my area.

Explain to me how the musicians are getting paid when people upload their material to RUclips for free? At least I came out of pocket for the music

can pay 300 dollars for a concert

The way he flipped the LP's casually with one hand, I think he had already searched through the boxes many times before.

How can this guy just pull records from the bin without checking the condition of the vinyl. Usually $1 vinyl is in poor condition, not worth buying!
FYI.... I check all records before purchasing off camera. Not worth showing that on everyone I grab... Thanks. 👍
