On my bucket list to visit your store! As a business owner myself, I totally respect how organized and well run your store is.
Cool metal section! I’ll have to go check it out
The people of Arizona are very lucky. This is one of the best record shops (and owners) I have ever seen!
This is a “Perfect” record store. Will take a trip there someday from NYC.
I’m going to take a trip there someday from Antarctica.
I would have thought that NYC has endless amounts of brilliant record stores.
@@CuriousEnthusiast956 there are some decent ones, but nothing like this. Mike does it right.
@@ccarney1126 What would be some of your personal favorite record stores in New York?
@@CuriousEnthusiast956 there are a number of decent ones. Rough Trade. I like the ones out in NJ much better. Tunes in Hoboken and Sound Exchange is very good. Princeton record exchange is very good also.
“We have a special receptacle that is blue and outside for those particular records.” 😂
I assume Herb Alpert records would also be filed there ... 😃

I bet it's loaded with Streisand and Manilow records.
Several weeks ago, while visiting Phoenix from Sacramento, I took a side trip to the In Groove.Wonderful store and Mike took a minute to talk to me. First class operation all the way.
You weren't kidding when you said you didn't take a day off for the first five years...
Absolutely amazing! Thanks for the great tour and running such a top notch record store - your passion and knowledge
for records & related equipment is really something. The shirt looks good on you as well.
Actually, I found this video to be Actually informative and Actually well done. The only thing that I can Actually say is Actually I wished you say Actually more for I find myself unusually excited for the word Actually.
Need to rewatch and count how many times he says actually!

@johngaldieri5535 I once counted up all the swear words in the move Scarface. It was surreal. If the opportunity presented itself, I always wanted to ask Al Pacino what his thoughts were reading the script for the first time.
Great tour, “actually“. 😆

@@johngaldieri5535 Did you actually count them hahahhaha
Store looks amazing! And ooh a lovely big Jazz section! Any Lee Morgan or Hank Mobley BN first pressings?! I have most but I am always looking out for a BLP 1568 and BLP 1590 :)
Its not grimey and freyed enough, i like my record stores to have ripped posters falling off the walls that look like they've been there since 1967, i want them to look like the toilets of an old rock n roll venue.
Writing on the walls, blood stains.
I want to get a tetanus shot when i leave
Lots of elephant talk. Man , what takes this man his music store serious with his over the top listings rooms and overpriced records.
Hats off and respect. I wish the stores in NYC had your level of quality
There will be haters but you're a businessman. Excellent video Mike. Keep doing what you do.
Bish
Very well done and great to see! thank you.
I personally love the NON fluorescent lighting, softer and reminds me of my cave for being relaxed. Sigs Lagoon in Houston is great for this.
Also like Posters and being engulfed in RnR memorabilia. However, I realize you do need to make profit on every inch of space you can.
But would make it a Vinyl bucket list to visit the In Groove. Been to many throughout the U.S.
Nice operation. It's nice to see the attention to detail reflected in the condition of the equipment and space, as well as your store's processes.
You have a Beautiful Record store. Waaooo super Nice
Hello guys I ordered my first Lp from you Sunday…. look forward to it! Greetings from Joe ( Dirk) Germany 😎🎸🎸
I “actually” loved this video … I’m going to re-watch it and count how many times you say the word “actually” …. Just kidding … Northern New Jersey loves you :)
You actually said actually 66 times in this video - that almost more than the number of records I have ordered from you over the years! Just bustin you Mike, you and Angel rock :)
Thanks for this tour from germany! ❤
Great video! Well scripted, shot and edited - congratulations! Please what brand and model power and interconnect cables do you like to use for your different demo room or home equipment? And any hi-fi 'tweaks' you like to use too, e.g speaker and electrical cable risers, Audio Machina V8 'headshell vibration' absorber (mine works as prescribed - not snake oil!), 'weights' on equipment boxes to dampen internal vibration, Furutech electrical power outlet, etc? Yes, I like trying affordable tweaks and only keep those that work. Thanks in advance Mike and continued success!
Nice set up , hope you've got substantial security & insurance , that's a lot of expensive merch & gear ;)
Awesome. Always wanted to see this🤘 edit: simply amazing man.. i love the whole set up. Vinyl dreamland supreme
A unbelievable video. thanks for the tour keep up the good work. from Philly...
Do you primarily catalog with discogs? Couldn't tell if you were using a standard barcode scanner in your intake section?
Hands down best audio systems in a record store anywhere - period. Beautiful store. Wow! 😮 💪
You are the Record Guru!!
I always enjoy visiting the store when I get to Phoenix from the West Valley.
Impressive stuff, Mike! I enjoyed that. Would be good to see another vid or two on your own personal system(s) some time.
I know I’m behind in scheduling a visit there, but - based on this very excellent video - I know it’s going to be a five-figure binge.
This is quite the operation I’ll surely stop by if I ever make it to Phoenix!
Wow!! Superb video Mike. Been waiting for this since 2020. Amazing how well your business has grown from the previous site. Many thanks
Wow, I guess the question I had, "I wonder if there are any record stores selling albums like back in the day?" has been answered. Impressive operation. Maybe I need to rethink selling my Technics turntable !!
What type of ultrasonic cleaners do you use? Can you clean multiple at once per machine?
Super cool!
Bring back the gold membership please
Hey Mike. I am an elementary school teacher and I use the same font you use for labeling all my students’ folders and such. Great minds think alike!
Up the Chels! (these are difficult days to be a 🔵)
I want to move to Arizona just because of this store. The few indie stores we have in Memphis really just aren't that great. They only care about punk and old Memphis music. They don't GAF about audiophile anything. Zero interest in jazz or classical, either.
I have Carver Mono Block Silver 7 and Silver 9 AMPS. A few Carver M500T. Technics !210 European turntables. Carver 4000 preamp. A pair of Carver Tower Speakers. Cerwin Vega Sub Woofers
My work is flying me out to chandler in a couple months and will be stopping by
That was actually a ton of actual records!

Are you actually kidding me?
Damn! Let me get my coffee first.
If you can make enough to pay the rent and lights with a record store in 2024, God bless ya....
As if I wasn’t jealous enough of all of the records then you show the hifi equipment! ❤
"Lawrence Welk and Ray Coniff..." I hit a lot of estate sales in the Phoenix area and find thousands of those. Along with Mantovani, Jim Nabors, John Davidson, etc. And yet I have found unopened copies of Sinatra records from the 60s, a LN copy of 'It's A Beautiful Day' (first album), same thing with a dozen Harmonia Mundi records (absolutely beautiful and beautifully recorded early classical), LN copies of everything Paul Desmond and Stan Getz recorded (beautiful late night jazz. Actually, amazingly well recorded.). I do need to get my ass into "In Grove Record Store" ASAP. Can probably find in one visit what I've found in 3 years of estate sales.
And don't discount Musical Heritage Society stuff. I bought 185 of the albums for $30.00 a few months ago. 90% of them in Ex to LN condition. Probably 80% of those sound excellent. And the music - Bach, Mozart, Handel, Hayden Vivaldi, Purcell, etc. A most wonderful collection of Baroque and early Classical music.
Advertise as much as you want, Mike. We understand alimony is an expensive part of your newfound reality.
Good on you Mike, one hell of an operation for sure, so much time dedication and hard work..all made possible by Angel
Ouah superbe shop and beautiful t-shirt !!!😊😊😊
Blimey!
Awesome tour Mike. Would love to spend time checking it all out someday. Best wishes from the GC in the meantime.
This is cool, I have lived in Phoenix most of my life and never new this place existed. I have always gone to Zia Records...
wow...nice job... Roy Harpers' Hq in the Jazz Herbie Hancock... why not...
Coming to Scottsdale/Phoenix next week, gonna try to make it by, hopefully on record store day. If I buy stuff in store can you ship to my address so I don't have to carry on plane?
Amazing setup. I'd happily work in the staging area foc. My only comment is i didn't notice any listening stations for customers. Are there any? I understand where new/unopened items you wouldn't want people messing with the records but im thinking more for the 'digger' type of customer. im personally interested in the bargain bins and pick up items in not familiar with so having the opportunity to listen to stacks of records before i buy is not only crucial to the volume i purchase but also a major part of the whole 'digging' experience. As a result i have my own portable TT i take out with me but don't know if i missed it here... Beautifully organised store... 🤝
Thanks for sharing. I’ll be back in AZ in a couple weeks to spend more money in your store😩🤣
Excellent video. I enjoyed watching it this morning. I love the Jazz section and the equipment section. Thank you. From New Jersey.
Watched your store tour, cleaning process video, and the record store day live feed, all are great. Wife and I enjoyed you and Angel on record store day.
I was wondering what POS system you use?
Mike, anyone would be proud to have a record store like this in their town, especially when it has A/C and your town is as hot as Phoenix. Only thing I was hoping to see and didn't was a staff lounge area, with a couch like the one in Empire Records. Then you would reach truly epic heights.
I want to franchise this model...always thought that a record store and a hi-fi store should be the same thing (product synergy)! I own a MF M5si and it is amazing, the M6si is my next goal in order to start trying xlr balanced lines.
I was always curious about your store, tend to spot it on certain routes.
Don't own a record player however I only just started your video so maybe you have more options like musical CDs too. My old car still has CD functionality.
Wow this is an amazing store, you have it all covered! Your store is immaculate and exceptional, I wish you were in Vegas too 😔. Thanks for the great videos! 👍
This place is awesome. I’m definitely making a visit. 🤘🎸
I would put those divider cards beyond the artist or misc. section not in front. Seeing a divider card at the start of a row is a visual turn off, IMO. I want to see records, not a bunch of black/blank divider cards.
Hey Mike! I live in Phoenix and would love to visit. What's your address?
Speaking as a professional comedy writer of 35 years, that's an excellent joke right there! (at 10:20) :)
Great store and video - as a South African we don't have anything close to this level of range or availability, can only wish i somehow visit your store one day.
Not enough people use that blue bin for the trashed Lps. It's an epidemic with one store selling LPs with white powder mold all over. I use clean inner sleeves for packing and covers for box stiffeners. Nice open concept store. You do what you love and love what you do. Thanks!
That's one amazing and well organized record store you got there sir 🙌
What i am curious about is what kind of ultrasonic cleaner that is you show on the video ? never seen one like that before 😇
I've been watching your weekly 'new this week' vinyl drops and reviews of records for some time now. I haven't always agreed with you on some of your opinions and quite frankly, sometimes I've questioned your motives with some reviews. I am a buisness person who loves vinyl and have ran my own businesses over my 60+ years. I've had thoughts about opening my own record store when I "retire", and had some very specific things I would do if I do end up having a record store. I have to say, this video has impressed me and allowed me to respect you as a business person more than ever. As the old saying goes, "the devil is in the details" and you have certainly conquered that! Every thing has been thought out as a lover of vinyl records. Many of the things you are doing are things I have often thought I would do if I decided to open my own store. I have visited a lot of record stores locally and abroad, and quite frankly, yours is the best I have ever seen. Thank you for shariing and may you continue to have great success and devotion to this wonderful passion of ours.
Thank you for having a Metal section and not combining it in with the rock section.
Awesome. Reminds me of perusing the old Tower Records on Sunset.
I forgot to go into the music room when I was there last October! Oh well, there is always a future visit!
Hey mike,i just have something to say to everyone watching this, and that would be ,if you love rock music and any genre sections that are big? This store is for you!
If I ever get to Arizona, I definitely need to get there! Roughly how many records do you have on the shelf and in stock?? The store looks kind of small in videos. There’s a lot going on there! I’d love to work there!
The 'In' Groove, You're so cool! Let's be friends and have fun!
Great video! Really enjoyed it, and look forward to visiting in person someday soon, thanks!
I have to admit what an amazing store. Everything is so well-organized well done 👍
This is the best and most organize record store i ever been to All the records are near mint or Mint.!!
this is an amazing record store.
How much for that Marilyn Manson under the glass?
Hey Mike, do you have a phono preamp under $2k that you recommend?
Mike-do you have Lyle Mayes’ debut solo album on CD?
Going to get there when in AZ again. That is an F-Ton(s) of Records !
- you seem very nice in your RUclips videos but every time I come into your store you give me an odd look.
this is so damn cool. congrats and continued success with the store.
Better be careful man, some others may steal your processes and methods
are original vintage albums mixed in with remakes ?
What do you think about Discogs taking a 9% cut of all sales?
wow...impressive
i think i could live in this shop ,just need a decent bed and i'd be happy 😁
Nicely done. The fact that you have any free time to sit and enjoy music is amazing!
Wow! 10 stars. I'll have to visit the USA!
how much is the jeanne lee conspiracy in the glass case?
Nice Record store. I will have to visit one day.
You have a amazing store!
I have all the info I need for my next heist, thanks!
This is not a record store. This is a record empire.
Are your jazz records new reissues or originals?
Beautiful store. Hope to visit one day
Lets be really gay today and take the tour🙄🙄🙄🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
