Back in the 70s and 80s MOFI was the king. But those in the know already knew that you guys are the king of the 21st century.
I never thought I would get through 2 minutes of this corporate video...let alone 27 minutes.
I ended up watching the whole thing twice.
I have never seen such genuine passion and authenticity.
Don't laugh at me, but I got teary eyed knowing everything Chad has accomplished. I know how hard it is to build one thing, imagine adding everything you need to ensure you have the best possible quality of every detail of your product. This is one man's vision fulfilled and a legacy. And the world is better, at least a small but important part of it, because of him. Thanks Chad!
Came here to say this. This was really moving. So many companies (including the original industry giants that killed dynamic audio (loudness wars) AND killed the vinyl format) are now cashing in on a quick buck with vinyl's resurgence in popularity by churning out sub-par quality pressings, but AS are actually doing it RIGHT, soup to nuts.

only complaint is i wish they had some more contemporary titles and maybe leaned into some different genres - but i respect that chad does what chad likes and thats what keeps it authentic

I watched this on my TV. This is not any old You Tube video it’s a fully produced film of supreme quality. Great to see how my Jimi Hendrix UHQR was made. Loved it. Superb.
The way the music industry SHOULD be. A collective of professional yet passionate music lovers doing their best to provide the best product possible to their customers, and having a lot of pride in doing so.
I remember back in the day when Chad just had a few boxes of records, and a great big dream. And his small shop on Santa Fe, before this phenomenal business.
His story, his legacy, is so very inspirational. I am proud of him, and proud my sister and bro-in-law are managers there. Deidra is an Accounting wizard and Jerry has at least 20 years printing press experience and is the Master of printing, for sure. Salina is our hometown and this gives me pride.
This is why Acoustic Sounds has all my money.
At 72, I hope I live to see what the next 10 years bring. I have been an analogue audiophile since 1974, a music lover long before that, so glad to see my faith so richly rewarded. And so many new folks come into the fold.
This company is absolutely incredible. I’ve never seen such fine attention to detail and such premium quality in any industry. When you order from Acoustic Sounds or purchase an Analogue Productions record, you really feel like you’re holding something special where every millimeter has been scrutinized. Kudos. Bravo.
I've been buying records from Chad & co. since the 90s - they never disappoint. Fantastic video which really solidifies all the reasons we should be infinitely grateful to him and his team. In this day and age it's rare to see quality put above all other considerations.

Great video which shows that AP’s key to success isn’t some “secret sauce” in their mastering or pressing process. It’s their people. Everyone striving for nothing short of excellence in their job performance is what creates those heirloom quality products.
Having purchased from every audiophile label around, I can say that Analogue Productions/Acoustic Sounds are second to none. The highest quality overall. I've never had any seam splits or vinyl issues from Chad's company.
I got one seam split. I live in Chile, the replacement of the numbered UHQR arrived in last than a week from me sending an email.
Analog Productions has consistently been the gold standard for both quality and variety for music lovers. Chad is the man!

This a "great" overview of you and your staff...and company. I remember buying the mono Hendrix box set while surfing the web in Eskisehir, Turkey, one night years ago. I had NO idea about you and your company. I figured that anyone who would go through all the hassles of bring out this great Lp could not be all bad. Since then I have purchased a lot of your products. If I was still teaching high school I would show this video to my sociology/anthropology classes, I told my students if you want to be the best at what you love you have to go to the person(s) who are the best. If one wants to be the best at record production it looks like Kansas is the place to go.

If Analogue Productions/Acoustic Sounds didn't exist, I definitely would not be a vinyl collecting, audiophile. It was hearing an AP record several years ago that turned me on to this lifestyle (You guys have cost me a lot of money lol). I now have a bunch of AP and other QRP pressings and have been thrilled by the quality of every single one.
After multiple decades of buying records. These days, you got to check that brand new record before you even leave the store. I've had so many issues with so many albums that it truly sucks to know that you cant just drive 4 hours to return an album. I know, right from the start. No matter what title that Chad puts out. You can totally walk out of the store knowing that you will be pleased when you do get home to open it.

Over my career in the motion picture industry I’ve worked on a lot of projects including industrial films but I never thought I would sit here and watch one with such fascination and enthusiasm, this documentary about this passionate record company is really rich, it goes deep, all grooves lined up not a single skip scratch or pop in the lot. As I watched this I was thinking of Neil Young, Eddie Vedder and others who insist on high quality old school analog recording and vinyl pressing. I am certain they’ve seen this documentary and feel the same as us who are writing comments here.

I have ordered several albums from Acoustic Sounds. Excellent quality. UHQR version of Kind of Blue from Miles Davis, Love is the thing from Nat King Cole, Come Away With Me from Nora Jones, Buddy Holly , Dave Brubeck Quartet Time Out, etc.... Soon I'll be ordering some Tom Waits. These guys are a class act.

Music brings us here but without beautiful people connecting and sharing, because they genuinely care, it’s all just vanity. Well done to everyone involved. I experienced this wonderful and engaging and informative presentation like a kid watching a Christmas movie where you get to meet all the elves who work in Santa’s workshop -making all sorts of toys. Good time to remind everyone they've always been doing it right. No deception, no false pretense no BS. Some will debate the merits of an all analogue process, but at least here you get the labour intensive, time consuming, detail oriented process you paid for. Truth in advertising is stil alive.

If you buy a record from another source, how can you tell if it was made by Acoustic Sounds? Is there anything printed anywhere that identifies the manufacturer?

This actually showed up as an AD (a 27 minute ad) while watching something else. I watched the entire thing and bailed on what I was watching originally 😃. Kudos for the story and presentation, but even greater kudos for what Chad and his company do for music reproduction. I didn't think I could be a bigger fan of what they do. I was wrong.
It's a small thing, but if you look at the quality of their shipping boxes, you know the care that they take in producing the records.
