Very sorry Mike. I was married for 26 years when 5 years ago, my ex was waiting at the bottom of the stairs and said that it wasn't working. I was blown away. I cried and was depressed for a couple of years, but now I have recovered, have gone on with my life , and live every day to it's fullest. You will survive and thrive!!!! G-d bless you both.

I’m also divorced six years, for “growing apart” reasons as well, and have found happiness in someone who meets me where I am now for five years. (embarrassingly and regretfully) I wallowed in misery for 5 years following the breaking down of my 10 marriage... another 5 years after that, after new experiences, people, places, ideas, changes, growth... I shuddered to imagine that had my marriage survived and I would have missed all of it and been stuck like that forever.
Not a life coach but my advice to anyone in that situation is to remember all the great things you wanted to do but couldn't because you were married, and start doing them.
Sorry to hear Mike, but it takes balls to come here and be so honest about it. And also, it proves you're an honest person and as much as it sucks, sometimes it's best for the two involved to part ways. I wish you much happiness. Life always gives you second chances. Maybe there's someone else for you down the road who can share same passions you have. TAKE CARE, MUCH RESPECT!

40 is the exact age for my divorce as well, Mike..It was tough, but I got through it. I missed being around my 2 children on an everyday basis and that was the worst thing about it! But the marriage part was definitely over. We grew apart and it had to be done! Good Luck in the future and take it one day at a time, Allan

video. I don’t know you but I want to thank you for the courage to do this; there are thousands and thousands of people going through this and don’t know how to handle these types of situations. Your advice will go a long way in helping them get through their situation. When I was younger I used to think I could control both the effort and the outcome but as I get older I realize I can only control the effort and once you have given something your best effort then the results are what they are. She said things on the rsd live stream that make sense now. Very different strokes Mike. This is one of the sad truths that makes life so bitterly beautiful. A season a reason or a lifetime. You two were both reasons for eachother but not lifetimes. You have no idea what the world has yet to offer in the coming years and I say this with full confidence, your best days are ahead of you if you let them be.
Mike, first of all thank you for sending me the records from RSD a couple of months ago….great service! Just remember that we are now up to 60% of marriages ending in divorce and 75% of the remaining 40% are extremely unhappy. Focus on yourself (gym, diet, business,etc.), make yourself even better and good things are sure to happen to you. You got this man and even though you may not see it right now your best days are ahead of you!
