While this is interesting, a complete stock-to-mod walkthrough around a bike, including carb disassembly and rejetting would definitely help selling those puppies. I'm sure that I'm not alone with zero mechanic experience, but willing to give this a shot if I had such a guide available.
"the carbs freeze" anyone who has owned a suzuki vl250 and ridden it in the winter or just a cold day in autumn will tell you alot about carbs freezing, so glad i got my shadow bobber now and dont have to worry about that ever again
Thank you for your videos I ordered the jet kit and the stacks. Do you think you can make a video showing you removing everything off a bike the explanation is great but a hands on video wold truly be a blessing
So I have a 1993 Honda Vlx 600 and that line your talking about in the beginning was pushing so much air into my carb it was preventing my carbs from working properly!! It wouldn't start with this connected! I put straight pipes on and it will need re-jetted. I'm sure that may have something to do with it.
Hey TJ, in regards to plugging the hose that comes off of the intake; does coolant need to be running through that manifold or can I just plug the hose that feeds the manifold coming off the rear cylinder (just below the main coolant nipple on the rear cylinder)?
I have a 97 VT1100C2 Shadow and took all that crap off. The bike actually seems to run better. Make sure you run a hose from the crankcase breather located on top of the rear cylinder down to under the bike, otherwise you'll have oil spewing all over the heads...don't ask me how I know this... ;) Hope this helps.
Hey I just wanted to know if I can install the stacks and not have to do anything to the carbs like rebuild or re jet. I have a 02 750 dual carb spirit
No. Any time you change intake or exhaust you MUSTA TUNE. There's no short cuts. The bike may not even run, if it does it will be way too lean and run like shit, and you will cause expensive damage.
I'm sure it's been asked but I'm new to the channel. Can you swap a 750 into the 600 frame? I like the mono better than the twins. It's just a cleaner look.
Hey man love everything you do. Is there a way to put velocity stacks on an 83 vt750c shadow? The air box is cracked and broken, and I would love to eliminate it and cut weight
on carbrated aircraft engines we have a "Carb heat" control carb ice IS A very serious problem AND the "Ideal" temperature for carb icing is 59f and relative humidity is also a factor. NOW, I need to go look at the "Plumbing" on my 1100 Aero. 😂

TJBRUTALCUSTOMS I read the this comment and it definitely makes me dream and think about performance, because at this point, it’s the only this I am trying to figure out on my 2017 Honda Shadow Phantom. Great motorcycle and to me, it’s a never ending love story because I love everything about it but enough of that. I saw that you mentioned topics like; fuel, spark, compression, change of wires (which caught my attention right away) and last but not least, the boots! Been thinking about this topic for a while but I’m no expert and I was wondering if you could suggest me some products that I can apply ti increase more performance. Thanks!
Question, I have a 1200 sportster and want to add an open velocity stack.. with no filter but will it make it run lean since it’s getting so much air.. my bike is Efi so I’m hoping it will add a little more fuel... what are your thoughts?
I have a 1986 Honda Shadow vt700c I'm missing parts from air intake to carb heads and was thinking about going with velocity stacks. I'm not sure if any of the 750 models you sell fight my 700? Thanks
Hi I have an 02 Shadow that has velocity stacks my question is do I need the filter still? I don't like the mising part on my bike I bought like it that can I put the original cover back or and aftermarket spike?
From what I understand from reading the blog posts on his website is that the stock airbox offers the best airflow because it isn't turbulent. Cone and pancake filters cause a lot of turbulence which will suck power because the lack of smooth airflow diaturbs the air/fuel mixture. I may be wrong about that so I recommend reading the posts on his website.
Tj, how do I hook up a sportster tank (2002ish) to a 83 honda shadow 750? We have velocity stacks and removed the old gas tank(s) amd air box system. I am having trouble figuring this out. Thx man....love your videos. They helped a lot.
can anybody ad their 2 pennies as to how lenient or not california police/chp etc are in the face of modified exhaust/intake...credit cards are out, fingers are on the key pads, but i tend to ride uhhhh, 'dirty', as one might say, and i'd like someone's opinion as to what i'm signing up...and yes, i'm a newb to motorcycles...not jail lol
Will you make a video that shows what you are talking about ? Can you show what needs to be plugged and how to plug it ? Where is the AFP Vacuum located and what does it look like ? Is this different from a fuel pump ? I have a 1999 vlx 600 and under the seat there is something that looks like a fuel pump . Is that a fuel pump or is that the AFP . Can you put a link to that shows the AFP ? I found the video that show the AFP . ruclips.net/video/glAgAl-xt-c/видео.html I also found how to remove the AFP ruclips.net/video/S0fYNWPkwp0/видео.html

1:46 I live in Canada 🇨🇦 so if I drive my motorcycle in winter 🥶 I need this. Got it. Edit: 3:13 so I don’t need it.

Do you have any detailed videos of removing the airbox and petcock and replacing with velocity stacks? First bike and don't wanna screw up
We don't have a disassembly video unfortunately I'm sorry
Great information but you got a video of you installing everything?

you mean like the one you commented on?

Consider buying a VT750 for a Bobber/Chopper type build.
How is the power compared to VN800/Vulcan?
How many vulcans do i own? ZERO. How many VT750's do i own? THREE.

i take it this would work for the vt1100s? i might not put velocity stacks on, but i want to get rid of a lot of the mess thats under the tank...

I bet you could freeze carbs where I live. It was minus 50 here this winter.

You need to plumb the tank to the fuel pump directly, on the 80s shadows the tank sits below the carb line so the fuel pump cant be deleted.
If I remove the afp ,where do you hook up the choke and idle adjuster
Thanks for the response, i just bought afp bolt and a couple of other thing from your website ,cant wait to install them ,keep up the good work bro
