The 76 series Landcruiser was never imported or manufactured in the US, which is a shame! Toyota said they didn't because they felt it wasn't luxurious enough for the American market, which is weird because we love Toyotas here, 70s era Landcruisers still fetch a pretty penny both for use and collecting. Nice ride! Lots of good work done there!
It's good to see an updated video on 76. I can't believe how clean the engine bay is. 😁😁 and they are never really finished; there's always something new.
Im 100% with you, don't procrastinate over Lithium, just do it. Yes, the primary benefit is less weight, but the true benefit is recharging time, they recover so quick in comparison to AGM. Unfortunately we still need to retain rear seats as grandkids often need to be run about occasionally, and my theory has always been, if we're doing outback touring we must keep a seat position available for emergencies, never know what situation you may come across and just maybe need to take someone to an emergency assistance point. Wife always ends up plonking stuff there cause it's free, but nothing that cant be relocated quickly when seat required. Hope that makes sense. Hoping to catch up at the lake 🤞fingers crossed.
Lithium is so good , yes costs a bit more but worth it in the long run. My back seat is still sitting here ready to go in if i need it just loving the space. Hopefully you can make it to the lake, see you then 👍
It’s good when you get to a point with a build and it “ just works for your needs “ hey mate. As much as we know they are never really done are they 😜😜
Good update Chad. But as you know. setting up our rigs is a never ending process. New technology and gear will always be released that are leaps and bounds over existing gear, and the tweaks continues on 😁 FYI. I have those Front Runner Wolfbox Pro boxes, and they are designed to be stacked on top of each. I generally have two stacked at the back. BTW what cruise control brand did you fit and where did you get it from? I've been looking for one to fit my 80 Series for a number of years now to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. 👍

I have had the wheel track corrected with a tru tracker from multi drive , thats on my original walkthrough video from years ago, had to do that pretty much straight away because its terrible to drive without the track corrected. Not sure how Toyota get away with selling them like that. Once done its a completely different car.
hey mate apart from the wear and tare on the carbon winch rope, did you have other problems with it or did you find yourself needing the extra 1000lb rating? Also do you worry about the uv damage on the exposed winch line from the widget? tidy rig mate obviously well thought out and not just a catalogue special with everything from a dealer thrown onto it.
The carbon was fine and done me well, the new winch was sponsored. I changed to the widget to suit myself and yes i have been thinking about what to do with the part that sits in the sun. Maybe cover it or do i sacrifice a metre of rope every few years not sure at the moment. Thanks for watching
@@shaddonaghue Yeah thanks mate just picked up a carbon and was curious if i made the wrong choice. I'm guessing you had to remove the thimble and resplice a brummel eye splice to be able to us the winch widget? perhaps resplicing it with a winch rope sock or bit of heat shrink on the eye would sort ya out, i was thinking of ditching my winch hook too and thinkign about my options.

Nice one mate. What version of the XRS did you go with? They are a great radio, I'm loving mine. I've been thinking about ditching my long handles shovel as it is rusting and staining the paint as it drips onto the roof of the car, the handle has gone to crap too. Mrs and I were talking about the Travel Buddy recently but I really don't know how often we would use it especially given it is normally just me going on trips and I like to cook over the fire more.
Thanks mate, can’t remember which version, maybe the 370 xrs. Yeah my shovel was doing the same. We thought the same with the travel buddy but we use it enough now , especially travelling and getting to camp late. Really need to be driving while using it because it pulls a constant 10 amps
