It's amazing people kept buying the Zato downplay given his presence in essentially every major's top 8 for the past year, honestly.
Zato really is the perfect assassin, staying out of the spotlight (tierlist) to stay strong (not get pounded by nerfs) and finish off the opponents (angry chip mains)

This was really great. I particularly loved Anji players consistently thinking better about match ups than the other characters' mains hahaha.
I thought it would be a common trend that everyone thought their character did okay in every matchup because HC skews their opinion of what a bad matchup looks like

Seeing how heated tier list discussions can get, I try to stay away from the discourse publicly, but it's still good to see how and why the top players think of the cast as a whole. This is such a great idea to gather data from as many top players as you can, and while I don't personally agree with all the placings, I do think this is about as close to a fair tier list as you can get. I-No being that low is the biggest shocker for sure and I still say Nago should be higher, but this is still a really cool way to gather data. I'm hoping you do the same for Season 3.
That was really interesting video. I really liked the comparison in perspective from mains and opponent, this probably took a while to put up. Tho I know for a FACT that Zato and Testament players, downplayed their characters like crazy.
As a baiken main I ironically think that the season 3 nerfs she's getting will make faust a slightly better matchup, because we cant rely on kabari rps for pressure as much, and one of the main issues with faust was "who cares what happens he crawls under kabari"

Great concept to use math and data for tier lists, and I appreciate the video. But I was quite confused about the part about main's perspective vs opponents perspective. If a matchup between Ram and May has a 56% win rate for May just using recorded data, then it's a 44% win rate for Ram, like it says in the Rating Update website. Why, from Ram's perspective, does Ram lose slightly against May, while for the opponent's perspective, I am assuming from May's, Ram wins slightly against May? And what does the difference in number rating from Main perspective and Opponent perspective mean? Is all this based on the characters overall strength compared to the rest? I would appreciate some explanation, thanks!
I must say; bold move putting this out 2 days before huge balance patches.
Having goals of success in tournament while playing I-No has been very rough for me for a long time. I put in a lot of work and time into improving, even outside of the game, and it's just never enough and I always fall short. I always reflect losses on myself as I feel I'm never good enough to overcome the stronger chars and bad mus consistently, and it really has gotten me very frustrated and depressive some days. I know Daru shows it's not impossible but it feels extremely difficult. Really hope season 3 brings healthy changes not just for my char, but the other chars and the game as a whole.

I’m a I-no and Ram player, so seeing them pretty much on the opposite side of this tierlist is pretty surprising. I feel like I-no was at least in a top B or low A tier.
YEEEEEEEEES IM C TIER, I feel so vindicated because i now realize all of my losses are not my fault. On a serious note though ino feels like im mindgaming myself as much as i am my opponent and its unfortunate how her effective pressure varies so much based on what the opponent has in their arsenal (looking at giovanna being so short). Although she has to fight super hard to get going the only matchup that i think truly sucks to play is sol badguy due to his decent sized health, good neutral, presence of dp, and some absolutely juiced damage. Happy chaos might be a worse matchup win/loss wise but its usually pretty fun going against him.

I have always felt guilty of playing HC, even though i always liked his design,how he plays WAYYY before i even bought strive nor knew he even was overpowered. But in the end, I didnt buy the damn game just to be locked away from playing whichever character i wanted to lol

With two matchup charts per character for us to look at, I feel like having them on screen for so very few seconds was a mistake. People watching this type of video already know the characters; we don't need to these random clips of the character's gameplay taking up time that could be used absorbing the information on the charts.

Why do i feel so validated right now?
My only issue with using the match up data is that most of the cast have been out since release and have undergone dozens of changes over the years, yet asuka has only been out for a couple months. Weights can help but there's nothing said about what timeframe this data came from which leads me to assume it's all time, which is kinda problematic. If love to know the sample sizes of the mains per character and the opponents per character
