1. Potion of Good Fortune: Turquoise, Valerian Root
2. Potion of Plentiful Needs: Apple
3. Potion of Nausea: Mandrake, Dirt Frog
4. Potion of the Nimble Mind: Parsley, Spotted Dirt Frog
5. Potion of Magical Aura: Emerald, Goldfish
6. Potion of Alluring Aura: Spotted Heart Frog, Cherry, Valerian Root
7. Potion of Emotional Stability: Obtanium, Potato
8. Potion of Perk Purging: Mandrake, Valerian Root
9. Potion of Forced Friendship: Baconite, Potato, Salmon
10. Potion of Masterful Insults: Fire Opal, Dragon Fruit, Furium
11. Potion of Rejuvenation: Valerian Root, Alabaster, Lemon

Personal favourite five potions:
Potion of Plentiful Needs: It's simply amazing. Easy to make and will max all your sims needs in seconds! Literally makes caring for your sims a breeze!
Potion of Emotional Stability: A +4 happiness moodlet is hugely powerful, and the side effect for a fail of having your sim transition through multiple emotions is a lot of fun, and rather funny.
Potion of Forced Friendship: Easily unlocks the easiest way to create friends in the game in seconds, and combined with the potion of prompt resurrection can help you become friends with the grim reaper in moments.
Potion of Immortality: Grants your sim the immortality trait meaning that they will never age again. Super neat! The side effect of being turned into a ghost for 24 hours is also loads of fun.
Potion of Prompt Resurrection: Feel free to be reckless with your sim! For if they die while this potion is active they will simply come back to life.

Just in case you weren't aware, if you're playing as a ghost and break something, if you click on the broken objects, you will see the option for Ghostly Repair. This will see your ghost Sim jump back into the object and fix it. No handiness required.

I know the video is a bit older, but I thought I'd share a useful tip about this. A fail on the Potion of Emotional Stability is actually really useful, at least once. There's a Trophy/Achievement called Basketcase. It says "Have a Sim go in and out of all primary emotional states withing 24 Sim hours." That potion fails does exactly this, so if you're trophy hunting on console or going for those PC accomplishments, this will almost certainly get you Basketcase.

@@PeteyPlaysIt - No problem. I didn't see it mentioned, but did you also know you can use Repairio on a potion to raise it from Normal to Excellent Quality? Higher quality potions have less risk of failing.
emotional stability is also god tier for building stats like fitness, gaming, writing, any that give you a negative mod let that forces you to stop building said stat take the potion fail or success you can go right back to building the stat
One Potion of Plentiful Needs and one dish of Ambrosia and the Copypasto spell and your sim basically won't need anything else.

Food is almost an alien concept for my Spellcaster Sim as I just buy or make the Potion of Plentiful Needs instead of eating.
Although imagine a vampire and spellcaster talking,..
“How are you still awake?”
“I’m a vampire, I don’t NEED to sleep, how are YOU still awake?”

5:46 he says they will never age again. Immorality doesn’t mean invincibility. I haven’t used it in game yet, so you could be right idk though.

Wouldn't it be cool if there was an update that adds a tiny cauldron for a single bottle? One you could even take with you? I think it could be like that cheap rusted iron one, but tiny, and you brew the potion with a candle. I think that'd be cute!

Great video - as always! ;) I love using the potions ingame, but unfortunately my witch isn`t able to brew the potion of Immortality, although she knows all the recipes and has the highest rank of magic. Apparently there is a bug, that prevents wizards from brewing that special potion - I read this in a forum and now I feel a little betrayed. I have all the needed Ingredients in my pocket, but when I click on the cauldron and choose this special potion, my Sim stands there, doing nothing and the interaction just vanishes... So disappointed. *sighs* But well, despite this I absolutely agree: brewing potions in the Sims4 is really great and often worth the effort of searching for the Ingredients. ^^ Thanks for the video and go on with them! ;) I`m really looking forward to the next ones!
Has this issue been resolved yet? If not, a simple workaround could be to just use the freebie you got when you learned the recipe. Thanks to that, you literally never have to brew a single potion, unless you're doing the Purveyor of Potions aspiration.
What happens if potion of immortality failed and you became a ghost, and u die?
Or
when your ghost sim drinks potion of prompt resurrection?
I am currently with a spell caster for my sim family. I know all spells except for the untamed. Just 1 short. I also duplicated myself two sperate times. And can't find her.
If you take a failed/hexed Potion of Prompt Resurrection, are you only unable to be saved from the Reaper (another Sim begging on your behalf, Death Flower, etc), and another Sim can still resurrect you with Dedeathify? Or you unable to be brought back to life by any means until the time's up?
Also, I love your potions lab, that's what I wanna build for myself when I get enough money, lol. But with wands and brooms, too.
Am I the only one who want a slasher pack and a evil villian pack for the kids to interact to add adventure and mystery to it
The Potion of Emotional Stability also clears negative moodlets.

I would like to have immortal but then it’s not fun if all your friends and family just die and everybody dies and it’s just you like immortal family is kinda boring so yea
The Potion of Immortality merely stops the drinker from dying of old age. They can be still be die or be killed plenty of other ways. Plus, you can always give Potions of Immortality to a friend or relative to always have someone.

Potion of plentiful needs. My magic users ALWAYS brew A LOT of them. For themselves and for non-magic Sims. I'm addicted to it😁
I successfully used a potion of Emotional Stability to counter a curse of endless sadness that I received in Salvadoria for opening the wrong chest.
Can you mix the bad potions into a drink to give to other sims

So the only solution is rejuvenation potions... I don't want my sim turning into an old man or maid. Not too concerned with death, as turning into a decrepit elder.
I ran into an elder mage sim. My vampires befriended her and moved into her house with her. Didn't know she was a spell caster til I tried to turn her.
Sadly she died of old age before her magical journey had ever begun, not knowing any spells. But that didn't stop her... when she turned up as a ghost, my vamps re-befriended her and had her move back in. She's been the nanny to the vampires children and home gardener since then, and has even risen through the ranks to Master Spell Caster or whatever... brews all but three potions and did it all after dying a sad old lady (she has the gloomy trait, and hates children trait). I wanted to bring her back to life as an adult instead of an elder. She is determined... she will find a way. Her name is Holly Moon and my vamps named their first born (daughter) after her. Holly died on the dining room floor an hour after little Holly was born.
Um i had potions laid out so they could be replicated and I like a bunch laying around that were copies of the original and when I left to check on one of my other playable households and had them visit the location where I had my potions they were gone every single potion is that a bug or glitch what's going on
this happened to me once and I found them all in my sim's inventory. I would check there. it could very well be a glitch though :/
Yeah I don't know if it was a fix to the trait discription a year later, but when I am playing it... the trait clearly states you are Immune from Dying of Old Age. That is IT!
I really wish there was an eternal youth potion, but I gues Rejuvenation is close enough. However what would real be sick is a Potion of Restored youth that would age a sim down one cycle.
It would be funny turning your foes into children, only to taunt them relentlessly... like a child.
I always use magic of copy. No need to make myself.
potions are the dumbest thing in sims 4, it works in sims 3 but in sims 4 all you need is to go buy some apples and you no longer need to attend to any of your needs ever again
Does that immortality one work for anyone ? I stumbled on it and gave it to my sim, but she’s still aging in that “days till age up” thing, and I don’t really wanna risk it. Mostly takes too long honestly... Plus that glow comes back too often
They will get to elder and then just not ever age after that

I share the same feelings.
Two other options I see: take the potion/food/spell that resets current age ‘tier.’ You’ll have to take that one regularly and keep track of the days until just before a sim ages again.

Or become a vampire(not infinite, but does take a very very long time to age up).
Vampire is very easy to maintain imo. Just have to drink a little bit here and there.
And then obviously having max fitness skill also helps a little bit to.

I heard immortality doesn’t actually stop the aging
Prompt resurrection only last 24 hours
I just jumped in and retested and I was still getting the buff for two days... It was with a normal quality potion, but I just thought maybe there's a chance if it was poor quality it only lasts 24 hours?
My potion of immortality failed and my sim has been a ghost for longer than 24hours
That's strange! Your sim should have a moodlet with a timer on the bottom right that indicates the fail. See if you can find it, and when that timer hits 0 and the moodlet disappears your sim should turn back.
Petey Plays It it might be become I saw the 24 hours thing and I changed the world time with mc command centre and now I’m stuck with her as ghost

That could happen, i'm not really sure. If you have another spellcaster sim with the dedeathify spell you could see if you can cast that on them to turn them back? Just an idea i'm not sure if it will work.
