- The Sims 4 Expanded Mermaids mod totally changes up Sims 4 mermaids to make them a lot better! This mermaid mod for The Sims 4 adds skill tree/exp/spells/etc. to make the mermaids feel actually good!

I'm a console player too and on the whole I'm not too bothered about a lot of mods but I would definitely have this one. EA, please do an update for us

Im a console player, got so excited that it was actually updated, found out it’s a mod and I’m so disappointed
I feel it’s not fair ! I have every pack over 600$ invested in this game and we are still limited to free updates
A kelpie is from Scottish mythology
It's a water horse with a seaweed mane and normally lures children to ride on them when they are out of the water than go and drown the kids
And eat them up with the exception of the entrails!! They let those float to the surface/to shore. According to legend one could theoretically 'tame' a kelpie with a cold iron bridle with a cross on it

I honestly hope whoever is in charge of this mod, can do the same with the other occults too! Sometimes I feel like they could be more as well, despite being more content filled than mermaids.
Same!! I was a little on the fence because I didnt want the mod to affect my perfectly curated mermaid lineage, but its the sims and because sims 4 made things so dry i literally play like its barbies, i dress everyone up and use my imagination. But this mod brings back the fun chaos of the sims where your dolls go off and do wild things and you have to figure things out! The i was sad with the werewolf gameplay it was a lot like mermaids after a while or a mix of mermaids and vamps, i hope they touch on those and aliens! I feel like aliens could be so much mor3 interesting especially with the Stranger things pack! Like why didnt they blend those together!

I understand why people hate it because it's Disney Star Wars. AKA the "BAD" one put into Sims 4. But I genuinely hate it because it's just bland and dry. All it is, is just doing missions, and the alien races? Just costumes for your Sims to wear. Someone SHOULD give Batuu a massive overhaul! There's potential in it!
I believe the same creator also made Fairies vs Witches mod, which allows you sim to become a fairy, and it also very well made
Also has a mod that gives us Unicorns.
@@BrianZatzke Yes, and it also has features related to FvsW, like fairy getting a special moodlet from riding a unicorn etc. Very detailed and cool.
Didn’t see the rest of the title, so for a moment I thought ‘wow has Sims 4 team actually been working on making mermaids better for us?’ Oh nope, it’s down to brilliant modders again, how could I have even thought otherwise 😅

I love how mad someone mystve gotten at the sims team and decided they could do it better themselves. And they were so right for that
So amazing and just disappointing how EA doesn't put this much effort, detail, and love into their own creations and at this point expect modders to constantly do it all

part 2 please. we need a mermaid LP for shanice and chantalle. this mod is actually inspired by H2O, just add water. spinningplumbobs also has a unicorn mod and i am hoping he will release his spy mod soon
Mermaids in Sims 3 were pretty good because of the diving areas that were interesting to explore 💁 Unfortunately, the world that had them was really lagged 😅

Spinningplumbobs creates such high quality gameplay content and it fits into the game mechanics seamlessly. Complete with animations, notifications, visual and audio effects, & skill progression. Honestly so so impressive 👏👏
One of the most solid things this mod does is make it possible to fulfill all a sims needs without needing land things to do it.

I wasn't really paying attention and thought this was an actual update EA made, then I i read the video title 😂 I'm not sure how my expectations of EA were this high

Ok, so crazy thing, I've been watching a lot of mermaid horror movies lately... and then you came out with this video. I will say this is the first mod that was not 'fixes' that I really really want now. I was ok with mermaids in Sims 3, was a little disappointed with them in Sims 4, but this... this is awesome. I truly love the kelpie form!
I Wish that Sims 4 for would take notes on how Great Mods are! Sims 4 should totally work together with Modders! Please!

I was HOPEING that it didn't say "mod" in the title man💔. This absolutely sucks, why can't EA get off their behinds and make Island living better?! As a console player...we always get left out the picture, with literally everything if we don't buy it and even then we miss out on TONS of things that other players download. I wish they'd just get their ish together and DO BETTER. There's no reason why mermaids should be as shallow as they are ESPECIALLY when they proved they can go back and recode the stuff. If they can update software or whatnot for everyone's game, they should be able to do it for packs. Sick of this

Okokok OKAY… I’m very easily pleased with the Sims and generally not nearly as fussy as many other Sims players, but after realizing a mod can show me what the Sims *should* resemble, I’m going to be less agreeable moving forward.

Have you heard of this new Korean life simulation game "inZOI" that is supposedly coming out in 2024? It's apparently made by KRAFTON, who have made a lot of other games. It's very Korean (very cute interactions and typical Korean body language), but that shouldn't be much of a problem, because it looks like it's going to be marketed towards western markets as well - it might even be a desired plus - Korea is pretty popular and this game looks VERY Korean - Seoul Korea in particular. It's going to have family play etc and the graphics look pretty amazingly lifelike and some amazing customisation (so far) - too good to be true I would ordinarily say, but this is a well known company. The realism of the graphics blow every other life sim out of the water - including The Sims. Looks to me like it deserves a lot more publicity.

A Kelpie is a mythological sea creature in my country (Scotland) that normally takes form of a horse and encourages people to get on their back, and once people do, they drown them.
i love how they got elements from other occults and added some more of their own, if the sims did half of this work for future (or redone) occults its woukd be perfect, ufpd love to see a revamp of aliens

If first thought the sims finally did what they said they will do years ago (refresing old packs) but of course it moders that fix stuff again

if townies are busy or have to be somewhere else (work etc) they disappear and there's nothing you can do^^' sometimes they ask for a date or invite you to a party but then leave, seconds after you arrive..
Since I can't contact SP (not a patreon) I'll ask the community.
Does anyone have any insight as to why my sea witch is not able to do contracts with other sims? My sea witch is able to construct a contract and place it in her inventory. She is able to ask other sims "offer spell contract" - but nothing happens. She is able to place the contract over the caldron and "present contract to..." + choose a sim - and nothing happens.
I did check & the sims she offered the contracts to *do* have the mod trait: accepted contract. But I've waited weeks & my witch never gets the option to fulfil or collect.
And now I have to make an old greg kelpie 🤣🤣
Characters are allowed to be flawed as are real people. Trixie is a good character and comes a long way, she just has a harder time doing so. This is just a reflection of real life. Same with Fluttershy. Making a major shift in character (like introversion to extraversion or just overcoming shyness) is really difficult and you will experience many set backs and resets with that. Its also an essential part of her character that will cause issues throughout. Just some things to keep in mind
