I was getting a lot of comments about two mistakes in the original video so this is a reupload with those sections cut short. Fixed what I could without completely rerecording those sections. Huge thanks to RoyBatty, Ludo, Trash and LedZepIV for helping with this video! Initially I was going to include every cut and inaccessible core game weapon, but I left some cut weapons out that I've already talked about in previous episodes like the Mirelurk Grenade and left others out like Clover's Cleaver, a weapon that's just not that interesting since it was replaced by essentially the same weapon. Also ended up deleting most of the inaccessible weapons section since most of them aren't that interesting either IMO. I hope you enjoy! 🖤
I thought all the things you cut out were interesting. Yes, I have heard them in a previous video, but it's good to hear it again.
You know you can just edit it without cutting the damn video
Keep making awesome videos !
Btw 7.62 aka 7.62x51 is .308 which is in the game as a bullet for sniper rifle
F for the inaccessible section, wasn't that bad lol
The delivery on "missing its fucking eyes" was very very good
LMFAO

"What caliber does that gun shoot?"
"Kay Nine rounds"
"What?"
"Woof"
Oh sh...

Adam made some of the coolest fucking concept art for any game ever. A fallout game that adapted every idea he had 1:1 would be incredible. It’s a terrible shame he passed shortly after the release of Skyrim
His art is timeless 💙💙💙
@@TriangleCity yes exactly!
so glad you’re still releasing new videos, was scared new vegas would run out of content

"the cryolater, one of the coolest weapons in fallout 4" ICEE what you did there, a very chill pun.

😂😂
Snow way!
I always knew that the weapons that had a backpack were connected, it annoyed me for so many years but now i feel satisfied after i saw the concept art, rest in piece Adam, we still love you :)
Man, I really love the idea of going into Fallout 3’s cut content. Adam’s concept art is a goldmine of crazy incredible ideas. Keep up the good work Mr. City
Is it possible the bolt was a beta version of the dart gun? That weapon is basically a tiny crossbow
That's definitely possible!
My biggest gripe about _Fallout 3_ has never been its storyline, quests, characters, creatures, or map-although those certainly are lacking-but its dearth of weapons. The game quickly becomes boring when every enemy you kill has an assault rifle, hunting rifle, or Chinese assault rifle. _New Vegas_ succeeded in this area because of its gigantic arsenal of playable weapons. In fact, even though I've been playing the game for close to ten years, there are a number of weapons (mostly energy weapons) that I've never personally used. That's how big the weapon arsenal is.
i think the creatures and map are OK- the lore is a disaster and the story could have been better though
RIP Chinese assault rifle my favorite gun from fallout 3
@@ascendedchairmanofthelemur9711 Are you talking about 3 or NV?
Some of the unique weapons were pretty cool. I used Lincoln's Repeater until the end of the game, but overall there is no much variety.
This is why I like playing Fallout 3 through Tale of Two Wastelands, Fallout 3 with all the additional loot variety from New Vegas is great
4:05 The sniper rifle uses .308 rounds, which are 7.62mm.
Yeah but in game you can pick up .308 but not 7.62mm. In Fallout 4 they’re also seperate ammunition types used by different games and aren’t interchangeable
@@fkcrewclips2852 .308 Winchester Magnum is equivalent to 7.62x51mm NATO.
The "7.62mm" in Fallout 4 is 7.62x39mm. Used by AK-47s.
@@DJWeapon8 i thought 308 Winchester was the equivalent to 7.62 NATO, not 308 Win Mag?
@@DJWeapon8 1 step forward and 2 steps back
@@ArcturusOTE it is. 300 WINMAG and 308 aren't the same. .308 WIN is the same as 7.62x51mm NATO
25:21 I never knew Mirelurks could’ve been that cool.
They look more like the lakelurks that are in FNV.
@@Wintd1 Those are just renamed Mirelurk Kings
Imagine if, instead of having Supermutants, or at least very, very few, Mirelurks took their place
I remember when i first found a whole lair of theirs deep down in metro with mirelurk kings and hunters..let's say i felt like playing "Mr Krabs overdoses on ketamin" dealing with them. They're kinda scary and cool.
Poisonous Deathclaws... As Harold would say, "That's nightmare city, friend."
3:38 it was cut because of a non hitscan attack not doing damage...
But that's still a problem in fo4...
the worst part is that it was fixed by modders before FO4 was released, and the devs didn't bother to use the open source code as a basis to fix it
It would be interesting to see videos like these covering the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, or some more Elder Scrolls content too.
Elder scrolls content!
Only fallout
Perhaps metro?
I would bet Dragon Age Origins might have a lot of info and cut content. That was such a great game, the last one made by the golden-age Bioware and what many in the company considered their magnum opus.
It's unfortunately been kinda forgotten to history thanks to Bioware's deep decline and the EA-ness of Dragon Age Origin's mediocre sequels. Such a gaming tragedy.
Stalker 👌🏻
Centerfire ammo is just basic ammo. So you have rimfire ammo like .22LR, the firing pin hits the rim and it ignites the liquid primer that then ignites the powder firing the bullet. Centerfire ammo has a solid primer in the center of the cartridge, hence the name: centerfire. It uses a solid primer unlike rimfire which uses a liquid primer. There is a .44 rimfire cartridge, that's actually what early lever action rifles used. However the .44 that's in fallout is centerfire
Important note: rimfire primers aren't actually liquid in the case. They start out as a liquid during manufacturing, but they harden in place before the powder is added.
5.56 is very close to .223 caliber, which is a .22 caliber round, the unused icon looks like .223 rounds and not .22 long rifle
Love how they removed colonels auto laser pistol because it was "OP", and then they released a bunch of broken weapons in the DLCs anyway.
Classic Bethesda.
The clown head missile launcher might’ve been a reference to twisted metal if it was implemented? I haven’t played in ages but the clown sweet tooth, I remember his ice cream truck had a clown head on top that would fire as a rocket.
You missed the chance to refer to firing dogs from a gun as "barkshot"
Damn, I'll never be in a situation where that will make sense again 😂😭
@@TriangleCity Yeah, sadly. Unless of course you would like to play Fallout 3 with only cut weapons?
-a guy who watches Mitten Squad Videos
24:29 Wut? Since when does Oblivion have dual wielding?
I like the cut Pipboy icons they look artistically better than what we got.
They should have made the plasma weapons purple. I know I'm biased because my favourite colour is purple but let me explain a good reason.
Plasma is rarely* if ever green, however blue and purple plasma is ridiculously common.
That would've been epic. Also, purple gang lol, my fav colour too
@@theace8502 hell yeah purple rules! Literally, royal colour
@@emerson-biggons7078 oh yeah!

I love the "triangle city" while surrounded by squares
It's very obvious that much more care went into the design of Fallout 3's guns than Fallout 4's.
Fallout 4's gun designs really suck IMO. They are all overly bulky and do not appear "mechanically sound," as Fallout 3's devs put it.
The only ones I liked at all were the Deliverance and the Combat shotgun.
The energy weapons in Fallout 4 were great, however.
You mean the ones that take up half your screen?
@@heirofaniu If Only There Was Someway To Put The Gun Up And Actually See The Whole Screen. Like Maybe A Holster Of Some Sort. Dont Know Im Spitballing Here
@@tonyflamingo3444 There is a nice mod called lowered weapons on the Nexus but it still takes up half the screen with the InRifle.
@@heirofaniu There's a mod called institute weapons repositioning or something close to that that lowers and extends the view model of laser weapons in Fallout 4 to make them take up less space. I have it on my Xbox copy so it's definitely on nexus somewhere
@@heirofaniu Despite the name, it changes regular laser weapons as well, not just the Institute ones.
It's funny to think how the inclusion of this cut content would have affected New Vegas... The butterfly effect!
4:04 .308 is a 7.62 round, the sniper rifle uses it
Even in the post-apocalypse imperial and metric are still fighting it out
There's 7.62x51 and 7.62x39. AK uses x39, G3, FAL, whatever else uses x51
Who here saw this video before the reupload?
Sonora Cruz walked outside the regulator’s shack and was chased away by a Yao Guai or radscorpion and I can’t find her anymore
I love fallout 3. No game struck me like it did
There is a skeleton that is implied to be named Grady so maybe O’Gradys peace maker was next to the naughty nightwear
Good on you for correcting the video and reuploading. Weird that it's pretty significantly different than the previous one
I guess I'll have to watch it again! And leave this comment again: This is seriously one of the best videos you have made. You have come so far from your early vids. I have been watching since the start of the pandemic.
Discovered this channel a week or two ago and having caught up is slightly bittersweet. Great series.
Sometimes all I wished for, for fallout 3. Was more unique looking designs. Adding more damage, special effects/abilities, more or less a.p use, and more or less durability is ok. Seeing what could've been added, would make just a slight difference to.
I feel like if any of the concept stuff, or even the cut stuff would've made any unique item feel more nice for people who just want to collect. Just to break up seeing the same weapon maybe three times on a shelf.
All of these except the some looking the same as normal is in the game.
Can't wait till you release the old world blues and lonesome road cut content
i can never not think of brian ortega when i think of the channel and its name. great video btw, as per usual!
I like how you're playing Perfect Dark soundtrack on the background. Classic Goldeneye Rare games!
Podcast time. I simply just love listening to your videos
All the research about how mirelurks may have intelligence that you find near the river under that monument would have made alot more sense. It wouldve been cool to even have a well hidden mirelurk camp that was peaceful, or had found a way o communicate using language in order to talk to humans, supermutants, ghouls, and robots. It just goes to show that even though they have some people at bethesda with some amazing ideas, god-howard always takes a heavy honkin party-pooper dump on developers ideas....
Such a chill video, im absolutely loving this. Been subscribed since you had a few subs, maybe 700 or 2k. Anyway i was straight up vibing in the concept art bit. Thanks for this. First played Fallout 3 when i turned 12 and I fell in love with it instantly, having come from 1 year of playing fnv. When i first got it like 3 days before my birthday i was so fucking happy, couldnt stop running around my house. I really wanted to go out there and explore a whole new wasteland. You should make a vid on cut Fallout 3 locations. Again, awesome video. Thanks.
FWE and the New Uniques Mod (by Ironman5000) restore most of the weapons shown in this video. Sometimes both mods added the same weapon but with different IDs, meshes, textures, and stats.
love your vids dude! these vids kept me entertained while detoxing off opiates. would have never gotten through it without your videos. truly thank you for making these videos Triangle City, you are the man!
Making me tear up over here dude 😭😭😭
I love the Fallout series been playing it since I first discovered it I've played everyone to date and I absolutely love that even after 15 20 even more playthroughs I'm still finding new stuff thanks for the great content and all the little tidbits to get missed
First off great video I love seeing behind the scenes and cut content, keep up the good work and don’t let a couple nit picky people make you give up but with that being said because I’m on the internet and I have to be a know it all I’m obligated to say most cartridges are either center fire or rim fire. So 44 magnum is 44 center fire, however some calibers like 45 long colt and 45 ACP are still different length and powder loads. I worded that weird but I hope it makes sense, Also usually 7.62 is only in rifles but I’ve seen single shot survival pistols in 7.62 so you’re actually right on that one. Great work again tho I’m not trying to be too critical, i know it’s hard to tell vocal tone by just typing from across the world haha
Great video as always my man!
Great video man. You only release bangers ✌️
Btw 308 = 7.62x51 so it’s more likely that it’s just a 308 bullet.
Any thoughts of of doing DLC weapons? One of my favorite weapons is the discharge hammer
At some point I'll make videos on each DLC and include them there!
I don't recall how, but I'm pretty sure there was a way to glitch the super mutant behemoths (Kind of like giants in skyrim) into dropping the hydrant. I have a vivid memory of swinging that bad boy around on the 360.
Bethesda: stressing out over the fact they have to add so many weapons
Obsidian: puts over 100 different weapons in the game (on 18 month deadline) plus unique variants before any DLC comes out
The law dog unique weapon is restored in TTW too, Nice video!
90% of cut weapons from fallout 3 were restored in TTW, a couple examples I can think of that weren’t were mirelurk lure grenades and the mason jar mine
18:22 I forget where it is, but The Cutting Room Floor in Fallout 3 includes Black Bart's Bane
Hold on a moment... I first played Fallout 3 in 2010 and have done probably 8-10 playthroughs since... I'm just now learning about the nuclear strike from that SatCom array location...
A gun that shoots dogs, reminds me of the gun from borderlands 2 that shoots butt stallion.
Great video. Love F3.
whats the music during the unused gun and energy weapons section?
Name of the song at 5:43? The video was amazing btw, the info was streamlined and the presentation was great 👍
7.62 ammo may be referring to 7.62NATO (7.62x51) which here in the US we call .308 (which IS in fallout 3).
.308 and 7.62NATO are not identical. VERY similar, but we don't call 7.62x51 ".308." .308 is it's own caliber.
@@ZRFehr They might as well be identical. I can shoot 7.62 or 308 out of my rifle. But imagine calling it 7.62 or 308 lol
That Chronotrigger remix of ForestPast... Damn that was good.
I don't think dual wielding was a feature in Oblivion.
I love these cut content videos :)
Mother 3 Music!? Nice you have great taste
Your channel is awesome. Lovely videos 👍🏻
When I see a super mutant behemoth, I cannot unsee the oversized fire hydrant and car door they use
Oh my gosh, I just got the "Board of Education" nail board joke. After at least 3 years of playing fallout I would have gotten that reference earlier but nope 😅
O´Grady was a dead character who wrote a note related to the guy who stalks Sierra. The note can be found somewhere in the metro stations.
What's the music that starts playing at 18:26 where energy weapons are being discussed? It's a very soothing song and I have no idea where it's from
Not positive since I don't have time to check right now but I think it's resonance by HOME.
That's not it unfortunately it has an acoustic guitar playing in it if that helps ya also thank you for replying and great videos!
24:28
Oblivion did not have the ability to dual wield weapons, Skyrim was the first game in the seriese to introduce that.
5.56 is actually a 22 caliber round. It’s just not a 22 long rifle. Idk if that was known by the devs but it might explain a little bit of why there’s .22 files scattered around
The atomization actually looks amazing. And i think the transparent bodies are actually a cooler effect as opposed to ask or goo.
The boat was probably for the dart gun at one point before it was turned into the dart gun
Nice 2am upload time!
cut weapons implies the existence of bulk weapons
When the "Old world blues" DLC video comes out, I will feel complete. No rush but I am excited for my favorite DLC.
thank for refernecing ROTT
it's one of the best old school fps games
Man. Now I want smart Mirelurks.
can I ask what is the song name in 13:06
Hilarious to see that half of these are guns I picked up in TTW and assumed were just part of fallout 3, only to find out they were cut
Honestly, would have had that unused 10mm sound over the one they went with. Sounds so much more like a GUN.
Pretty sure you couldn't dual wield in oblivion
You couldn't. I noticed that immediately when he said it
The Fallout-2-esque scenes at the very beginning of the video. Where are they from?
One of the shots is from F2, another is from Tactics
@@TriangleCity Thank you!
24:58 funny how it looks like Valve and is made using a crowbar
Great video really into this series ever thought about doing fallout 4 or 76? yeah those games aren’t the best but it would be cool to see what could have been.
Idk how but i've found some of these cut weapons and armors while playing TTW
Because RoyBatty is awesome lol
Regarding the .45 Ammo type, it's likely it was originally intended for the Chinese Pistol, as it is primarily based upon the Shanxi Type 17 which was chambered in .45. However Bethesda (or Emil Pagarulio with his whole "KISS" ethos) decided to scale down the weapons and ammo variety, resulting in the Chinese Pistol becoming a 10mm Pistol. Hilariously the stripper clip with bullets used for the Chinese Pistol reload still show 7.63mm Mauser bullets, likely an assumption by someone at BGS modelling team.
Likely .45 was also considered for a .(.45) Submachine Gun which was concepted at 24:33 and based on the MAC-10, however we have no clue if it was a early game SMG, or ultimately replaced by the redesigned Interplay MP9-style 10mm SMG (since the firing sounds for that were inherited from the 22 Pistol, and the reload/jam sound effects were used by a rifleSMG it's likely the 10mm SMG was not originally intended to appear.
It's also possible that 7.62mm Ammo (The 7.62 bullet projectile is clearly based upon the 7.62x39mm not the .308/7.62 NATO due to it's shape, and the red banding, NATO rounds don't use bands) was also supposed to be the Chinese Assault Rifle's chambering, before ultimately becoming a 5.56mm Weapon. It would explain why it deals more damage despite using the same round as the R91 Assault Rifle. If it were chambered in 7.62mm, it's likely it wasn't supposed to be the Chinese service rifle in 2077, but like the Interplay Fallout's AK112 it was an imported outdated rifle...would explain the odd Type-93 Designation and it's widescale presence in the capital wasteland; it was intended to be a callback.
Also, I'm guessing that the ".44 centerfire" ammo that would've probably been used by Lincoln's Repeater was supposed to be .44 rimfire, which original Henry rifles were only available in.
could you steal the pistol that deals 100 damage or is stealing from essential NPC´s impossible? i dont remember if thats possible its been quite some time since i played Fallout 3 ...
No, it's not marked playable
I wish the unique weapons had unique textures like in NV
15:34 the background music is the same music from perfect dark on the N64.
Fire Hydrant is just Final Fantasy sized.
O' Grady's Peacemaker is named after a real-world police baton manufacturer, Peacemaker.
Imo the Bolt Projectile could have been another ammo type for the Dart Gun as it is pretty much a crossbow.
The irony is that there is more to say about the cut content than the weapons that made it into the game. It is a very small number.
The nuka cocktail looks way cooler
I'm telling you. I've seen this somewhere before.
i think the fatman if you kill with a crit was suppose to turn enemies into glowing skeletons ? i'm guessing they'd want to model swap the enemy with a skeleton and all the effects could have totally hide the model just long enough for the switch.
Ive played this game soo much that i cant even tell the difference between tales of two wastlands and the vanilla game also because ive played both too many times
There is technically 7.62 ammo and weapons in FO3….it’s 308. Which is 7.62x51.
Ok the 10mm original sound in 19:50 sounds so damn beefy and mean what if there was a 10mm pistol but it shoots .44
is there a mod that makes new vegas weapons avalible in fallout 3? and fallout 3 weapons avalible in New Vegas?
TTW does that!
