Adrienne please consider others who have been alone, depressed and not had any contact with family. My family haven’t seen my newborn. My baby was born in June. I am lucky to have a supportive husband and two other children so I am lucky to have the love I have. Not everyone has the support or the company I am blessed with. Let’s be kind and understanding.
True, it’s easy for her because half her family is under the same roof. It’s like 10 of them. It’s easy to still get that thanksgiving feeling vs someone who lives in a apartment and doesn’t haven’t family

Maybe I got this from her ig, but I got it. And in this segment she said for the average person following those measures may be something they can't do. If you can, go ahead. Empathy is very key at this time. You can't just say, "it's a pandemic, get over it". I agree with Loni, just make a plan; do what you have to do to be with the people you love. Whether quarantining for a month before Thanksgiving, or making sure everyone's wifi is strong for the day; the only way to get through this is together.

I hear what you’re saying but NY COVID test rates are only about 1% per day. At one point our numbers were high but we did really well with quarantining, wearing masks, and shutting down businesses for months which dramatically decreased the rates. Upstate NY has even lower rates. But I do think Adrienne does not have empathy for other people that do not have the same means as her.

I thought testing was free also what happens if you test negative 2 days before but get infected the day you travel to your destination. Even with testing you can’t completely be sure .

You don't need alot of money to cook. My G ma always cooks in the house as if she's cooking for 4 people. Lol and her foods during Thanksgiving lasts WEEKS. She loves in Amaral town near a small grocery store with great prices. So it's not aboit.money it's about quality for a lower price. Which obviously not everyone has either.
If Adrienne had a full on party with everyone tested then families can get tested and have thanksgiving together. I don’t see a difference! Edit : I realize that not everyone has money to be tested and it could be an issue but I’m almost positive most health departments do free testings! Some people only look at things through extremes and through privileged eyes. There are guidelines, there’s social distancing, there are rules, there are masks, there’s Zoom, and like she said, people can send food. There’s no way people have to give up on Thanksgiving entirely especially when they don’t live with their families like some of these hosts. If things are planned and expectations are adjusted, people can make the best of the situation and stay safe. The false dichotomy of either you give up on enjoying anything or you run around maskless and reckless is annoying to me.
@RonnyLamar KylesJr. I think that is a good idea. Just be a couple of people and get tested before and quarantine together. You can deliver groceries to the home and things you need. So you can take precautions.

I know for me this past week I went to visit my aunt and uncle who live an hour away in the city and every single time me and my mom come over... we always wear our mask when we enter their house because they are elderly and are high risk... so just In care of them we did what we felt was necessary to protect not only our health but theirs as well ! Kind of disappointed on how they talked poorly about the new type of family dynamic. Is it different, yes. Will it be hard, yes. But it sounds like 3 people willing to do all it takes to raise a child and who will probably put in more effort than other parents (not all parents of course). I work with seniors and the first day that we attempted to open up their club, they (against the law) hugged all their friends as soon as they all saw eachother. Most seniors have way less things going on in their life than everyone else - and that can be depressing. Especially for the ones who’s family don’t visit them ever - their friends are all they have.
Thanksgiving isn't cancelled, ppl just have to get creative with how Thanksgiving will be done this year since the traditional eating with family isn't an option right now. If you can't be with family physically, do it through zoom. If you can't Zoom, spend it with friends, or spend it alone and take an entire day to yourself to jus reflect on what you're grateful for.

Ok I never talk about Real cast like them all. But some of these women Jeanne and Adrienne , are not telling full of it. Here why this summer Jeanne when to see her boy friend and spend the summer with him, and her mom, and she post her trip, which is great. Also, Adrienne, she had her entire family in LA with her , along with her daughter in law which she post and her asst she work with. So when and where your concern? Also, Adrienne is living in NYC with her family now, so how cruel and self because not everyone have the money to pay for their family to live with them or travel do not mean people who are lonely and desiring to see their family for the holidays are selfish or do not " get the point. If you are willing to take the test, separate for 14 days before the holiday, what ever is safe. I believe in washing your hands , wearing a mask, 14 days isolation and using every precaution needed. but I get people being locked up for 7 months why they desire to see their family. The only people that really made since and was truthful to what they were saying was Lonie Love and the other new lady. I feel we need to be safe and do the best we can to not spead this, but we should not allow fear to run our lives. My sister is sick and I will not see here this year and I totally respect what she need to do and what not jeperediaze her health but at the same time I do understand why those that if they can be safe vist their familie for the holidays
Michigan health insurance covers it as long as you either come in to contact with someone, have symptoms, or have a reason to want to get tested other than just wanting to randomly get tested. And then of course Medicaid completely covers it and Medicare completely covers to test as well . As for people who don't have health insurance in Michigan signing up for Medicaid is a very fast process and not hard to get approved if u need it.

Quarantine is a privilege. I’ve been working since June. It’s a warehouse type of job so it’s very difficult to social distance. I understand why people like myself don’t feel anymore at risk by having thanksgiving dinner

I hear what you’re saying but NY COVID test rates are only about 1% per day. At one point our numbers were high but we did really well with quarantining, wearing masks, and shutting down businesses for months which dramatically decreased the rates. Upstate NY has even lower rates. But I do think Adrienne does not have empathy for other people that do not have the same means as her.

Some people only look at things through extremes and through privileged eyes. There are guidelines, there’s social distancing, there are rules, there are masks, there’s Zoom, and like she said, people can send food. There’s no way people have to give up on Thanksgiving entirely especially when they don’t live with their families like some of these hosts. If things are planned and expectations are adjusted, people can make the best of the situation and stay safe. The false dichotomy of either you give up on enjoying anything or you run around maskless and reckless is annoying to me.
@RonnyLamar KylesJr. I think that is a good idea. Just be a couple of people and get tested before and quarantine together. You can deliver groceries to the home and things you need. So you can take precautions.

Honestly... do I think thanksgiving should be “ cancelled “ no... do I think people should be very cautious before traveling and going every which way to be with family... yes ! I know for me this past week I went to visit my aunt and uncle who live an hour away in the city and every single time me and my mom come over... we always wear our mask when we enter their house because they are elderly and are high risk... so just In care of them we did what we felt was necessary to protect not only our health but theirs as well ! I know we want to trust everyone and be like “ it’s family... it’s thanksgiving” but the reality is we are in a pandemic guys and we do have to be careful no matter who were around... so do what works for you but take very serious and careful measures when risking doing this! That’s all!

I work with seniors and the first day that we attempted to open up their club, they (against the law) hugged all their friends as soon as they all saw eachother. Most seniors have way less things going on in their life than everyone else - and that can be depressing. Especially for the ones who’s family don’t visit them ever - their friends are all they have.
Thanksgiving isn't cancelled, ppl just have to get creative with how Thanksgiving will be done this year since the traditional eating with family isn't an option right now. If you can't be with family physically, do it through zoom. If you can't Zoom, spend it with friends, or spend it alone and take an entire day to yourself to jus reflect on what you're grateful for.

Ok I never talk about Real cast like them all. But some of these women Jeanne and Adrienne , are not telling full of it. Here why this summer Jeanne when to see her boy friend and spend the summer with him, and her mom, and she post her trip, which is great. Also, Adrienne, she had her entire family in LA with her , along with her daughter in law which she post and her asst she work with. So when and where your concern? Also, Adrienne is living in NYC with her family now, so how cruel and self because not everyone have the money to pay for their family to live with them or travel do not mean people who are lonely and desiring to see their family for the holidays are selfish or do not " get the point. If you are willing to take the test, separate for 14 days before the holiday, what ever is safe. I believe in washing your hands , wearing a mask, 14 days isolation and using every precaution needed. but I get people being locked up for 7 months why they desire to see their family. The only people that really made since and was truthful to what they were saying was Lonie Love and the other new lady. I feel we need to be safe and do the best we can to not spead this, but we should not allow fear to run our lives. My sister is sick and I will not see here this year and I totally respect what she need to do and what not jeperediaze her health but at the same time I do understand why those that if they can be safe vist their familie for the holidays

Michigan health insurance covers it as long as you either come in to contact with someone, have symptoms, or have a reason to want to get tested other than just wanting to randomly get tested. And then of course Medicaid completely covers it and Medicare completely covers to test as well . As for people who don't have health insurance in Michigan signing up for Medicaid is a very fast process and not hard to get approved if u need it.

Quarantine is a privilege. I’ve been working since June. It’s a warehouse type of job so it’s very difficult to social distance. I understand why people like myself don’t feel anymore at risk by having thanksgiving dinner
