Fixed the title. Y’all are the worst/best
Whatever it is, ain't no way I'm buying or playing *any* Souls game. Ever. 😁 Breaking furniture is NOT my idea of fun
L2den Ring
@@avarysse5782 It's honestly not even as bad as you see from steamer reactions and whatnot. These games are manageable. Elden Ring has like hundreds of tools you can use to make the game exponentially easier.
@@bard1847 Well that sounds more hopeful because these are some good players that are complaining, but I'd never buy it to try it & find out I just can't git gud enough
Elden Ring sounds like a pensioner's butthole
I like Eldin Ring but Elden Ring is better.
😂😂😂
Legit, I have also heard Eld-ing Ring more than once, just today.
I’m more into edging ring personally ☺️
What about eldong ring
Here before the title change lmao
Like the words of MoistCritikal:
“Either you die a gamer, or live long enough to see yourself become a game journalist.”

OOF.
Lol thats awful!
What a cringe comment and cringe person in general
I mean moist critikal only makes review videos so are you going to take his opinion for everything….
FromSoft Facts:
-DLC is *always* harder than base game.
-The more you ask for an “easy mode,” the more difficult Miyazaki will make it because he isn’t satisfied until he breaks your body _and_ spirit.
-Your tears sustain Miyazaki
You brought this on yourselves. Miyazaki will show no mercy. He’s out for blood.
I mean I don't have problems with DS1 dlc, I can't remember anything specifically bad about DS3... But that one... give me Old Hunters vibe
@@bubsy3861I remember Friede in my bones
I went into the DLC area and was like "Oh wow this is really cool"....then some back flipping monstrosity comes at me and nearly 2 SHOTS ME!!!
Ok let me get away from that thing: I thought I see the GIANT WICKER MAN THING MADE OF FIRE. I thought ok let's see if I can kill it.......
15 minutes later
I didn't make dent in it
Did say "OH MY GOD THIS IS TO HARD?"
Or say "OH MY GOD THERE NEEDS TO BE A BABY BACK BITCH MODE?"
NO
I said to myself "You need to level up more" come back when you are stronger.
This I left the DLC area for the time being.
I shall come back later when I'm 💪🏾
We're stuck in here with him, not the other way around
@@vincenttaylor6943 the trick with the wicker man is to make it topple over by staggering it and then reposte it for half of its health, but there's some sort of stagger gimmick for toppling it over that i haven't figured out yet, just did it by accident a couple of times.
Kai Cenat embracing this game and hitting y’all with the Git Gud noob was not on my bingo card for this year! Wild!
goes to show you ..... that guy gets it. he started playing it and he just completely understood what these games are all about. my hat's off to that guy.
@@achaziel You are correct, Kai surprised me on his will to never give up and accomplish his goal.
Yeah.... Me going in NG+8 is too hard.... I love it
I’m really impressed by Kai I beat it in a few days and so did he. But unlike Kai I’ve been playing soul games for awhile I don’t give up or get pissed off or need a break I just take in information and look for what works and what doesn’t. Once I have a answer it’s curtains
NGL Kai got my respect for his dedication to Elden Ring
You got ppl on Steam, Twitter, and Reddit saying stuff like "This DLC is way too hard even for soulsborne standards, and I should know cuz I'm a souls fan".
Then we got Kai Cenat, who has NEVER played any souls game before Elden Ring, saying "This is the 1st major release since the actual game 2 years ago, correct? If you went through all that hassle 2 years ago, why tf would they make a DLC for you to breeze pass and be done with in a day or 2?"
Kai literally understands the game better than some "souls fans" can, and he's been playing for only 2 or 3 months
Thanks for summarizing what was already shown in the video.
"Souls fans" when they can't just read 3 different predictable combos and easily dodge through them all like they could in Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3 and actually have to face a new enemy with new mechanics and attacks.
@@mingQWERTY Exactly. These "fans" got too comfortable with their "OP Boss slaying builds" and oneshotting everything that adapting to new mechanics and more challenging bosses is considered offensive to them.
At that point, it's their fault for going into the DLC with the mindset that they can just do the same thing they've been doing in the base game.
First time I've ever been impressed with Kai, he actually made a salient and insightful point.
@@burrzie8446The game is still easy with a greatshield and bleed build.
It only takes about five seconds in the shadow realm to realize the importance of the scadutree tree fragments

@@De1usionsofGrandeur that spinning guy is crazy. A lot of these dlc enemies spam attacks. I think they are parriable though
How the hell do you use those things? 😅 I beat that Grotesgue human lion beast/fake avatar, 2 giant wicker fire dudes and the dancing sword mosuleum girl, still dont use these. 😊😊😊
@@syminite1 how to use scadutree fragments? You level your shadow realm blessing at a site of grace. I think you need two or three per level.

I love how it seems people forgot they put Cealid right next to limgrave lol
yeah I remember the 1st time I played ER (my first soulslike game), I got teleported to a cave overlooking Caelid. What I thought: “Well, this is a nice looking environment, must be pretty easy since it is so close to the starting point”…boy was I wrong hahah.
And there are 2 teleporters that will take you right at the heart of Caelid or its super over leveled area called the Dragonbarrow 😂
I was so happy when exploring got me the mushroom armor. I had to adjust my stats because flame cleanse me was critical.
Not only that, a trap treasure box would transfer you DIRECTLY to Cealid. I went through HELL to become strong 😂. By the time Shadow of Erdtree came out I toy with my enemies with pattern prediction 😂
Never had a problem with caelid
People just refuse to explore the map/collect the stuff, instead they go straight to the boss and then cry that they do no dmg and the bosses are hard...
fr most items are carefully put to make you go into the boss as intended, no matter how hard people find it, them complaining is their own faults
You know the Soul is Dark when you start to agree with the “just git gud” crowd
Git gud isn't a meme its simply the truth or how I always say it git gud or die trying ..... and I still get my ass kick often in the soulsborn games
Yeah, I remember my first obstacle in souls games. It was the dancer from ds3, I wanted to get the dragon axe because I wanted to do my first playthrough a certain way and I thought that's where you were supposed to go. After 3 days I managed to do a no hit boss fight on her. After that I started beating bosses in 1-3 tries. All that practice till I got to elden ring, I encountered Margit and I couldn't beat him straight away and I remembered the dancer and after practicing with him and eventually beating him I also did fast runs with other bosses beating them in 1-3 tries. Malenias I beat her on my second try while radahn, radagon and elden beast gave me the most trouble. I haven't played the dlc but elden ring it's not as hard as people make it out to be, they just refuse to adapt and overcome because of ego.

-Ringed City DLC
-The Old Hunters DLC
Fromsoft has been warning us all this time, DLCs are here to kick ass!
And now, Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is out for blood.
Honestly Old Hunters and Ringed City are the only hard ones on that list lol.
@@EatThePath-7The DS1 DLC had Manus, who was harder than at least 70% of the DS1 bosses. As for DS2, that had Fume Knight and I remember people crying and pooping their diapy pants over him.
@@EatThePath-7 At the time the DS1 dlc was new and the community was also new to soulslikes they were still much harder than everything else that existed at that point. That’s good to hear, find the minix tear spirit ash and you have a clone of your build to fight bosses. I used to beat messmer last night took 20 attempts it’s no walk in the park but fun once you win
The fact that Kai Cenat, the guy who is literally a newcomer to the franchise beat all of the bosses with a nerfed, weak weapon and a lot of resilience really surprises me.

The funny thing about Fromsoftware's meteoric rise in popularity is thanks to the disastrous early stage development of Demon Souls being so bad that they just let Miyazaki just step in, take over development, and do whatever he wanted because they thought it would just be a flop.
Even more hilarious is the fact that Sony, of all companies, refused to publish Demon Souls in the west because they thought the west would hate it, giving Atlus the opportunity to step in to publish it in the west.
Now we have a whole new gaming category of games thanks to Souls games.
Fromsoftware is the only company that can release a completely new game that is nothing like what they normally do and it will still so well.
I hope they return to making survival horror games and the Tenchu series.
Doubt it, they are going to stick mostly with Soul games. Shareholders saw the money that Elden Ring brought in.
A Kuon sequel would be so damn good
Sekiro is the closest thing to Tenchu as it started off as a new Tenchu game. That game also filtered alot of Souls Vets who thought they would come in and dominate.

Lmao. They expected to just walk through this DLC. 😂
I expected to get more than 15-25 fps on the 2nd phase of the final boss. On console.
I new it wasn't gonna be easy, but I figured it was gonna be scaled around moghs and the mountaintops. just take your time look for gear to keep you alive and surely you'll get through it without going insane. Turned out it's not scaled to moghs it's upscaled or feels like it's upscaled double the amount of where you're at. basically if you're in base diff the dlc is upscaled to where NG+2 is.
If they optimise it for pc I will buy it.
They spent two years making busted builds, doing exploits and finding ways to gimp the AI.
So yeah of course the DLC is going to be aimed at humbling the community.
I say that but there's already a NG+4 hitless win against the final boss on YT so even then the dlc isn't as hard as some are trying to paint it as.
It works fine on my PC.
DLC is amazing, literally all people have to do is explore and upgrade the skibidi blessings to not get 1 shot. To be fair the game is still challenging but its not impossible.
PS: make sure to not only collect the scooby doo treats but actually use them to upgrade the skadoodle blessing level.
ALSO skill issue.
Yeah, I didn't fight a mainline boss for a long ass time. I explored, found cool shit, then went to murder everything.
@@netwatch7261 just as Miyazaki intended...!
For real, exploration is rewarded here. No oneshots so far and even found two clues as to how to destroy the armored fire giants.
Expansion gifts you so much for just moving around.
Me, Running through the dlc, fighting bosses, Got to messemer, got one shot, am now exploring other parts of the world
You don't even need to max out the blessings. This means that you can skip up to 9-12 fragments so if you're lazy at exploration, you don't have to explore every corners of the map. Besides you basically did the same thing with flask upgrades in the base game. I don't understand why people are mad at this when they've done the same thing in the base game so many times before especially when they have multiple characters
The problem with the other game companies is that they will just make a souls like thinking that’s all gamers want. That’s not the case, we just want well made complete games.
The Fact Kai ordered a Therapist on the game at 900 deaths made me lose it 😂
But he didn’t give up. That’s the core principle of a Souls game.
@@deviantanomalythe dlc made me give up completely. It's time for me to move on
People got spoiled with the mimic tear, blasphemous blades and could cheese the base game when it got hard. They completely balanced all that in the dlc and it’s back to being a hard game. Which is how it should be.
I mean, havent tried it but doubt anything can really balance out the ability to poop a clone of yourself :p
I am still cheesing stuff in the game. I’ve cheesed two ulcerated tree spirits so far, and one boss with my mimic tear. I am also cheesing some of the normal enemies that one shot me via level geometry. The one boss I did kill, I did it by using the mimic tear… blood chieftain or something. Dropped it down, learned to dodge until it drew aggro, then gave the boss a mighty kamehameha in the back until dead. While my mimic tear stunlocked it in place through wand spinning.
You absolutely still can cheese your way through the dlc. They just try harder to not let you do that… even though you totes still can with all the old methods.
you don’t fix an unbalanced game with more unbalanced stuff. This is such stupid logic. It’s overall terrible game design
@cantu7214 it's not unbalanced tho? You just aren't good
@@lowbornfool1713 apparently neither is Fromsoft because its sitting at 68% on Steam. Maybe they should git gud at making bosses again so their game doesn’t have mixed reviews
You are totally right about these publishers over-forcasting their game sales. But how can Sony justify spending $200-300 million on developing a game if they don't expect massive sales totals?
In other words
Miyazaki let the golden goose continue to lay golden eggs instead of killing it and taking what it had.
EVOLUTION IS REAL
I wish more people realized that’s it ok to not like fromsoft games. Over the years I’ve realized they’re just not for me because I don’t like getting frustrated so much (I am easily tempered), but that doesn’t mean I don’t recognize how revolutionary and how great of a game Elden Ring is. I wish more people like me had this mindset.
Patience is a virtue my friend, you would do well to learn it. Git gud.
I pray that you cultivate the virtue of temperance. Frustrating video games help to do that.
@@Swagbastian i just have uncontrollable mental issues

Miyazaki is such a Sigma.
I was hoping to see King's Field revived, but he said that From Soft's older games were so intrinsically tied to their director's visions that it would be hard for them to make new entries without them, which is a policy I actually respect because you now see sequels of older games by western developers that run into the ground those franchises. Still, some re-releases of their older catalogue would be sweet.
I would love to see Kings Field make a comeback...So many fond memories.
It's like whenever I see an Ubisoft or EA label on the newest game, my immediate instinct now is to avoid and ignore. The games themselves may be great, but the stink of the publishers behind them just turns me off.
With an amazing dlc like this, it really makes me wish that armored core 6 got the same treatment

I waited 2 and a half years to get dogged on by insane boss fights. I was expecting no less. And they delivered! 30 hours in and only 2 main bosses defeated. I'm taking my sweet ass time 😊
The biggest problem I have with the DLC is that there’s an arrogance with the design even if you level up to the max in the DLC those scattered earth trees. There’s no reason why the scaling should feel like it’s new game +7 every other DLC in its past was decently fair, this game has such poor scaling that speed runners who do challenge runs are having problems
I need more Alex videos!!! This was too short lol. Good shit man
I'm not even into this game and think he did an amazing job analyzing different aspects of gaming-gameplay
What Miyazaki said was so wise and contrary to what the greedy execs from other studios seem to portray-Miyazaki is a treasure. People b*+chin about the difficulty- it’s funny how a Souls virgin like Kai gets it-we all encountered that moment we realized these games are not just a typical RPG-what did we do? When Margit was taunting us with “putting these foolish ambitions to rest” what did we do? That’s right we “got gud” everyone does and why should the DLC be different? We should be welcoming the challenge.
It was hard in the beginning until I found and used two dlc talismans and one ash of war.
The lion's ragin claw talisman from the dlc.
And the two ashses of war do the following:
Increases attack power with each successive attack.
Increases attack power after killing an enemy.
Once these two ashes of war stack up on top of Lion's claw insane 8 spin attack by using L2 attacks twice in succession, you can literally one tap mini bosses with an average melee build.
And guess what? I just found these in the four 4 hours. I have yet to discover so much more that will trivialize the difficulty. The Dlc provides you with all the necessary tricks to figure out how to tackle an insurmountable challenge but people are too busy complaining about difficulty 😅
Also, you got to remember that the same makers of Elden Ring also has made Armored Core and made the recent game with elements of the Soulsborne and Sekiro incorporated into it.
The first BOSS took me 8 hours to beat.
Shiiiiiit 😂
I went into DLC at level 97 with only plus 18 weapons.. and I ve been able to fight my way through mostly.. still working on killing some of the main bosses killed a few side bosses though now 129

Craziest part is. I’m on new game plus 3. The dlc is very hard. But I made it to the final boss on the second day. Most of the bosses took 3-4 hours to beat. But if you explore, get the blessings. And actually work for it. Anyone with a decent build can make it to the final boss. But the final boss is a whole different beast. No cheesing him with mimic tear. Best you can do is summon the mimic tear in second phase and maybe try to dps him to death.
Will the live stream from last saturday not be uploaded to your youtube channel? great video like always
WHY WE NOT TALKING ABOUT DARKSOULS 2!!!??!!?? because its way to hard to enjoy??
Like most Fromsoft games u can make yourself a hard time or easy time in ds2 if its "too hard" its either a build or a skill issue
The xbox tax is real
By adding the tree which both boosts your dmg and dmg reduction is an excellent form of making the DLC area feel new and fresh. Your character essentially resets to lvl 1. You have to now explore again and become stronger. You are given another chance to experience the "early game" and relearn the game. I would much rather get a DLC that lets me actually have a challenge then just breeze through it because you already have max gear and levels to kill anything in the base game in 10 seconds.....
Also they really encouraged an overlooked aspect of elden ring too... the Armor and Dmg mitigation system. Those elemental resistance and dmg reduction talismans are looking really good now isn't it, rather than going full glass cannon mode.

I was at new game plus 3 at level 355 and the dlc was still a struggle. This is why I went and explored the area to find Scadutree fragments and revered ashes for my summons to make the game easier.
I grew up with games from 1977 through the 80's and 90's where you did not have button prompts on screen (you had a 20 page manual to learn stuff in and use your brain/memory to remember button actions.)
These days games are weak they handhold you through everything, so it's nice to see a game/DLC put down the hammer to weed out the not so good and make you play/learn how to play.
I made this point on another vid about the dlc. This is pretty much what I said:
Gamer's before Elden Ring: Game's today are too easy, they hold your hand, and tell you what to do and where to go, they don't let you explore, there's no challenge.
Gamer's after Elden Ring and the dlc: It's too hard and challenging, we can't beat it, it doesn't tell us what to do, what do you mean we have to go and explore? Utilize the games mechanics and features to help us? That's not fun, how is that supposed to be fun?
I may have added a little on to it just now but yeah.
There are also people misconstruing difficulty as an accessibility issue. I got very upset at that, because refusing to get good is not the same as being unable to walk.
The difficulty is just there to prevent casuals players from beating the game in less than 10 hours. I couldn’t care less if they added difficulty selectors. Not my problem with how someone else experiences the game.
People just don’t know how to
move on and accept something isn’t for them. They blame the game for them not liking it. Everything is not everyone

If I can beat the DLC in two days on 5 hours of sleep on NG+3 so can everyone else
But did you need to use an op build and weapons to do it
@De1usionsofGrandeur no actually I barely changed my base game build my second playthrough on my bleed build is having an easier time though

If I was an Elden Ring player, I wouldn't buy this DLC because of its price tag. No way am I willing to pay more than CAD$40 for a DLC, and this one costs CAD$53.49. I understand there's a lot in it, but I've been noticing that games from Japan are already getting to be more and more expensive outside the US (instead of CAD$90(USD$70), it's CAD$94, for example). Pricing is fucked, and I'm not paying $55 (with tax) to get a third of the content of the $80 base game.
The dlc map is half the size of the base game map, and the amount of content in it is enaugh to call it a sequel, its just a case of CAD not doing so good as a currency, not surprising since trudeau spent 220k in 6 days in food only, vote him out
Yeah I'm Canadian. This DLC is bigger than 90% of entire new games. This could have been released as Elden Ring 2 all day long. It's truly massive. Some reviewers are spending over 100 hours to beat this DLC. It's very comparable to the entire base game in length and size.
This DLC is like MHW iceborne level though.... unlike other games DLC that is just cosmetic or couple more missions
Stop being stingy brokey
It's also worth pointing out that while the map looks smaller than the base game, the amount of verticality is significantly greater meaning that the total playable area is comparable.
People still crying over this game, for god sakes Dark Side Phil has beaten a boss or two. Unless Elden Ring has an Arcade mode where u start at the beginning everytime u die, I dont see the point of all this controversy.
People are mad cause they didn’t beat Mohg and many cannot afford the 40 bucks. Comments and social media is full of liars and wannabes and they’re getting way too much credit. 60% can’t even access the dlc, 90% of players didn’t finish HellBlade 2(5hours!!?!?), 70% of PC elites have a rig less powerful than an OG PS4, folks got hyped over trailers like that hasn’t happened at the past 4 showcases with no results, they started a petition for 😢censorship on Stellar Blade it sold a little more than a million. I could keep going but these comment sections are filled with miserable ppl who can’t afford the systems or games they glaze and hate online. A bunch of frauds and grifters. The channel owners that’s another story should require achievements and or trophies be linked in the description and if they are not gamers cancel their asses. Time to clean house and take gaming back from the corporate leeches and failed jurnos/lazy humans that try to make money off of emotions and controversy. We the REAL gamers must control our space and stop letting anybody get traction from their pandering grifting ways.
I understand were your anger is coming from, but some times is not the Dev they are in a PC doing what there bosses tell them to do, it is the manager , CEO and some shareholders that is to blame.
I experiment with builds solo (making sure not to kill the boss to kill it with friends). I cleared half of the scadutree avatars 1st bar with 1 gelmirs fury.
why celebrate filtering out gamers and restricting an audience ? isn't that what the ponies try to do?
Exactly. Not to mention, more "filtered" playerbase means less future sales, leads to less future content, until game death. Happened to Wildstar.
Keeps blowing my mind when players celebrate other players leaving (same happens in FO76 as well). 🤷♂️
People that leave negative reviews just because its too hard, definitely deserve to be filtered imo.
So casuals tourist wont play and be smug about it lol. They are the one that making game industry as bad as today. Buying junks like battle pass cosmetics, rolling characters on mobile game for hundreds dollars, ask handholding feature in game like everyone freaking toddler
Souls-likes aren't for everybody. Some folks can handle the difficulty. Others can't.
Some who don’t also don’t cry for nerfs and trash a game, they’ll put it down and not say anything. I don’t review games I don’t like just based on a frivolous reason like “it’s too hard” or “it wasn’t for me”.
Im not a fan of souls games but I love a proper RPG. The first boss in a proper RPG will waste you.
Some people are just not into medieval stuff or an upgrade system based on raising numbers to overcome challenges. These games aren't precisely hardcore if you can even break them by just leveling up, let's be honest.
I’ve been playing for the first time this past year, still haven’t bought the DLC because I’m still trying to beat it. I have to say, I have never been more humbled as a gamer.
I’ve played RPGs like with deep confusing lore like Skyrim. I’ve played fast-pace games that really test reflexes like Doom and Ghost Runner. All sorts of fighting, hack and slash, you name it and I usually always play on the hardest difficulty.
The first day I played this game, I said “oh, this is a big boy game.” Realizing everything before was literal child’s play
@@amilcarhernandez2031 Raising numbers? That’s an RPG element not just Souls games mate.
If you can break it so easily by getting the tree fragments then go do it haha. You sound like someone who hasn’t even played it
im the guy who made that original meme (before the devs criticism), it's always funny to see it pop everywhere years later
great video!!! keep up great work.
people and even critics have every right to point out and complain a game is too hard for them. idk why people deserve to be mocked for this.
Because Souls games have always been a niche thing in gaming and not for everyone. So when it becomes the meta all of a sudden and people are complaining about it, that just means you brought the game and played without any prior knowledge, experience or expectations. Shame on you, the game shouldn’t be dumbed down for sales and more exposure….its not for everyone smh 😂
@@michaelbarnes2126 I'm not denying they arent for everyone. But people still may wanna try them. And mocking people for thinking they're too hard for them creates a toxic almost gatekeep like environment
@@Z-Mikes00 people have been playing the game for 2 years and learned the ins & outs of build creation. It took hours and days to learn this information in order to succeed in the game. You complaining about the game shows you did none of that and just thought you would dog walk thru the DLC easy breezy. The mocking is deserved if that’s the case, cause you didn’t put in the time like some of us did to learn
@@michaelbarnes2126 not everyone has the time to tho. Understandably so. Again this is quite a gatekeep ESC mindset
@@Z-Mikes00 I work and have two kids and still found time to do something that I enjoyed doing. Certain things require that and if it’s important to you and you enjoy it, you find the time to do. Just like D&D, drawing, painting, etc..It’s only considered gatekeeping if you let people’s opinions affect you negatively, and as it’s from total strangers it really shouldn’t. For example I use all the tools in the game that were provided by the game designers in order to succeed. Do people think that some of those mechanics make the game easier, sure. Do I honestly care if I’m still making it thru the game and beating extremely difficult bosses? Fuck no. People should have that type of mindset, if you’re a casual you are a casual, it is what it is. Shouldn’t stop you from playing and enjoying the game if you really like it.
I'm finding the difficulty to be fine. But I could understand the criticism that there might be some balancing issues between solo play vs using summoning.
as someone thats played pretty much every souls game, there were like a few instances where enemies/bosses in SOTE seem actually somewhat broken with their attacks, like they'll swing, it looks to you as if you just barely dodged it, and wham, you get hit when it looks like nothing made contact, not a melee attack, projectile, passive effect or otherwise. The attacks timing was literally just off. That happened to me a couple times. But besides that, I've enjoyed the hardship. Even made a level 1 wretch character to go from zero to hero less than a week before the DLC came out. Beat Mogh @ level 75 with a Heavy Club +24
I suck at these games, but I learned to be patient and lvl and lvl and lvl and lvl until I can kill a boss in 3 trys… If I get stomped 3 times, I leave and go lvl up 5 points… and continue lvling that way until I beat a boss in 3 trys… Needless to say, I was 221 when I started NG+, beat radahn, got to altus and left my char there for almost a year. Came back and killed mohg and started the dlc in NG+ and got stomped at 228 by the first curse blade… I left, went back to moghs area to lvl up 5 points,,, literally took less than 10 minutes in NG+… Those albinurics (spelling?) each gave almost 7k a piece with the rune talisman and fowl foot buff… I went back into the dlc at 233 or so and found some of the scadu fragments and got to lvl 2… I beat the fuck outta the curseblade and only popped 1 potion… That continued smoothly until I got to Rellana, I was scadu lvl 4 or 5 when I got to her and lvl 247… I fought her 11 times… I left 3 times to lvl up 5 points each time… I was 262 when I beat her lol. The game is hard but the journey is incredible. I tried getting good, I got patient instead lol.
OH AND hell yes Ive had mimic the whole time for all the bosses lol
I am Level 713 and I still get my ass kicked everyday. Even after getting all those new Scadutree fragments
Miyazaki did this to sekiro, back in the first release there was no [enemy scale to player level] but then the update happen they implemented [enemy scale to player level] thats when things got intense especially to master shinobi owl the mad-fxcker became a mad-unit every slash is a huge block of hp.
Scadutree is old English & actually pronounced “ShadowTree” . My character is like a god & that first Gaolknight humbled humbled the shit out of me lol .
Absolutely love this game .
I still defeated him before picking up any scadutree fragments .
That guy beat me a lot of times, but I did eventually beat him with my swords. But then I returned in a NG+, and beat him quite easily with a big bonk strategy... apparently, he doesn't like taking 2 maxed out Anvil Hammers to the teeth.
The best filter of all is the one Miyazaki uses for his own personal success.
We as souls fans are stark raving mad over how amazing the countless journies through elden ring and now the dlc have been and Miyazaki after selling 24million units has also said, in that exact same article no less, something to the effect of "its alright, maybe one day I'll make what I think is the perfect game"
Miyazaki said its fucking mid😂
He is truly an artist before he is anything else. W.
Coming from a guy who has played cod his whole life , I remember vividly picking up Elden ring in 2022. I was so bored of first person shooters, and was super curious about Elden ring and had never played a souls game before. Now fast forward to the dlc and with over 700 hours in the game I still don’t know what the heck I’m doing but I’m having fun because I feel like I’m picking up the game for the first time again.
Crazy to think folks was going into the dlc and not picking through the new items.😂 I'm still pre dlc but I'm getting to the point where the boss battle I need to finish is within reach. Started a new run on Xbox.
triple A companies suffer and think firing people is what will fix it when the real fix would be to actually listen to their creatives rather than the ceo's making decisions about stuff they dont know
I love how all Fromsoft games filter the shit out of the player base. Let’s not forget the notorious PCA Helicopter from AC6. God I loved that so much. The complaints were so deliciously good. If their pain was lotion, I’d rub it all over my body. Even the one loser who got caught fapping till completion on stream manàged to beat some bosses. If he can do it, so can you.
I could play FromSoft exclusively for the rest of my days and die happy
You are speaking out of my heart truly
For any game with a leveling system, what do you do if a boss is too hard? You grind. You get stronger. You try a different strategy. Like I don’t understand some people that just don’t engage in the game functions, and then wonder why everything is so hard. It is a hard game, but there are tools to make things easier.
We need more of you in the Colloseum!!! Finish the game and DLC and test out your gear and skills in pvp arena!
For all the shitty things Nintendo has done, I will always commend Satoru Iwata for taking not one but TWO 50% pay cuts during the WiiU era in order to avoid having to lay off any lower level employees, citing his own leadership decisions as the main reason why the company was going through such a financial rough patch. I believe several of the top level execs like Shigiru Miyamoto also voluntarily took 25% pay cuts for the same reason.
You would NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS see an American corporation do that. Ever.
As for Elden Ring, I know full well that I'm not good enough at videogames to even attempt playing a From game. I am under no illusions when it comes to my skill level or lack thereof if it's any non-puzzle game other than Zelda. lol
lol I thought the mic was fake until you grabbed it
I beat and I feel great I’m just grinding armor and weapons then start another run
Went in on NG+4 , was told the DLC is the hardest thing my friends have ever played . Breezed through half of it until things finally started seeming a little tuff . Explored more for scardutree frags and breezed through the rest . Hella HOT take , but should've made it even harder . With that being said , one of the best DLC'S I have ever played .
Agree final boss wasn't even stronger than malenia. She took me definitely over 100 tries. He took me about 50+ maybe, but definitely not 100. Enjoyed him a lot, but Malenia is still my favorite

finally understood that what makes the company not have full investment is because some millionaire uses it to buy a mansion and luxury item
I was surprised when Josie Woah (Gen Z Nintendo Streamer) at the SpawnCast podcast said Donkey Country 2 was too hard.
I went in at level 374 and its still quite tricky.
If anything, the camera movement might be the hardest boss in the game. Most of the bosses are just relentless with their combos 😂
To be fair. Historically
He isnt afraid to hop on stream with his joystick and really put his all into it in front of a live audience.
Not that i thought i was gonna 1 shot everyone going in but damn i was humble by that weird thing with the circle blades dude took me out like 5 times before i locked it in 😂😂
Appreciate your commentary perspective on this particular game and the industry. Refreshing perspective and my overall perspective in regards to what you’re saying, but more based off of the industry as consumers we are the gate keepers, and I mean that strictly from the perspective of spending our hard earned money on James that are actually worth our time. In the long run, big Gaming companies will have to acknowledge the fact that consumers want what we want and not what they will filter down to us and say is good.
great vid!!
