Welp I just finished this game like 2 days ago (already halfway through my new game plus run) and I absolutely adore this game man. This is also my first souls game. Now I also just started sekiro.
Just started playing it again having not beaten it since it released back in 2015. I think I am enjoying this playthrough even more than my first. Its easily one of if not THE best of all fromsoft games imo and I have played em all since demons souls in 2010. Bloodborne is a masterpiece. Only negative is early game bloodvial farming (may or may not be a big deal depending on how hard you struggle)

Let me tell you, playing other souls games now you'll be an expert at the dodging/rolling timing now. 😊 I didn't know Bloodborne was the only one that literally doesn't even let you block,and makes you master the dodge. I didn't know it was harder than Dark souls and Elden Ring,I didn't know anything about souls games but I loved it and mastered Bloodborne . Now whenever I play Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring, Lies of P and more its so easy for me to get that timing down. Even Sekiro is easier now because I got used to timing of an incoming hit 💯💪
Although Bloodborne may not be as good as Elden Ring, it set an amazing precedence for what it so come, and remains an absolute masterpiece to this day.
Bloodborne is far superior to Elden Ring, especially with it's replayability, style and combat system. I love Elden Ring but it's not in Bloodborne's league
You're correct that Elden Ring is so much better than Bloodborne objectively. GOTY and highest metascore support that notion, 5 people who prefer Bloodborne over Elden Ring doesn't mean much
not really. I mean if you played elden ring, you're basically coming back for the scenery/atmosphere if anything. It feels old but at least it was a finished product unlike most today.
I think it does hold up incredibly well artistically and mechanically, though it unfortunately has aged - running at 30fps and with low res models at times. A remaster would serve it well
The answer is yes. Bloodborne will always be a fantastic game, same with the entire Soulsborne Ring series and Sekiro. All of them are amazing games with positives and negatives depending on your preferences. Bloodborne is the biggest step away from the Soulsborne Ring formula with it’s fast paced, offense first play style and outstanding gothic setting. It’s my favorite, it was also my first so I’m bias. I assume the random spike in Bloodborne’s popularity is because of the Elden Ring DLC getting all the “Elden Ring is my first Fromsoft game” to expand their horizons beyond the Dark Souls trilogy. Bloodborne is under appreciated because of its exclusivity to PS4/PS5 but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth your time. The 30 FPS thing is a nonissue unless you’re a snob about frame rate, and if so, that’s most definitely a user problem and not the game’s problem because it runs fine.

True i may be biased cause it's my first souls game but i do think even compared to liek darksouls 1-3 and sekiro this is eaiser to get into
