- Margaret Tudor (1489-1541) was King Henry VIII's Older sister and grandmother to Mary, Queen of Scots. In this video I transform her portraits to see how she might have looked in Real Life.
Her father was also King Henry VII the founder of the Tudor Dynasty and her mom was Elizabeth of York. Margaret married the Scottish King James IV but he died young. The regency of their heir James V went to Margaret as long as she remained a widow. Her turbulent marriages gave her a lot of headache, resulting in her fleeing Scotland back to her brother Henry VIII, and a nasty divorce.
Here on Mortal Faces I recreate historic portraits to see how famous figures from the past might have looked. This is my artistic interpretation. I also provide commentary about each character to tell more about what their deal was.

Margaret's story was tragic. She and her first husband were a very good looking couple. Apart from the ending, it seems that Margaret had a similar life to her grand daughter the tragic Mary Queen Of Scotts. It is interesting that Margaret was the grandmother to Mary and her second husband Lord Darnley.

This was really good and such a sad story. She paid a heavy price for having terrible taste in men. It would be good to see Henry VII’s sister Mary too one day. The work you do in bringing these historical characters to life is beautiful.

Hello! New sub here. I'd like to request Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. She is of interest to me. Not only was her known portraits very beautiful in my own eyes. I also heard rumors she the first queen with black/mixed black genes(bars😏). Rather she was or not. (Go curly hair girls)I'm still intrested in her story.
