Wow im not the only guy on earth that wanted one of these. i feel better now. I bought a broken one on ebay and fixed it. the belt drive gear exploded into 4 pieces so i made a new one. easy fix for a 3D design/ 3D printer guy $75 for a cricut explore air 2 is a heck of a deal. I just need to buy cutters and supplies and i was good to go.

I got mine as well for Christmas. I learned that you should be locking this together, like the picture and the word so it is easier to put on what you want it to. It will all be lined up. Cut your vinyl as well so you dont waste it all like he did. Good luck with it! ;)
@@MizzSunshine1209 On the bottom right hand side. there is a group button to group it into a whole picture so both the letters and the picture a grouped/locked in one.
what I don’t understand, is he put “bite me” underneath the shark- but when cutting out the font on the vinyl, it’s to the right of the shark. (not underneath like it appeared on the app) I guess I’m just struggling with the design app it’s self 🥴🧐🤨😣
hi! to keep things where you want on the mat, just highlight all the images (click and drag to select) and then click "attach" on the bottom right of the screen! they should appear the way you want when you click "make it"
I’m new to the circuit family, and I have tried creating a image on vinyl, which I’m able to do but my only issue is removing the image from the vinyl... I tried several times and it still the same result. Do you have any tips to help me remove the vinyl easier? It also looks as if the blade is not cutting deep enough, how do I go about changing that.

I actually think I might’ve gone about it the wrong way to be honest with you because I thought that it wasn’t cutting deep enough and that’s why I kept ripping so I got the deep blade and put that in my cricket and then I also changed the setting to card stock, so maybe I should be going with the lighter settings?
Do you take the white backing off the vinyl before laying the sheet down and cutting? I can't seem to get the letters off the sheet with the transfer paper
Ty. ON MINE, There is a clear plastic over the pad that I would lay the colored vinyl on before cutting. Do I remove that protective sheet before placing the colored vinyl for cutting? On the video, I did not see you remove it or talk about it.😢
Why does my EXPLORE AIR 2 cut right through the vinyl onto the mat? I’m a Newbie and so confused with this. Thank you, I’ve subscribed because you teach and get right to the point. I need someone to slowly teach the icons being used in a project, I know nothing.
Question. So I did all the steps you said but when I got to print it’s telling me to load a black pen in clamp a? Instead of me using the blade in clamp b. How do I fix this issue ?
It sounds like you’re using a different setting to draw instead of cut. When going through the steps on Cricut Design space I’d double check about that.
I believe I used our Royal Elements permanent adhesive vinyl sheets. We discontinued these though. There are a lot of good options out there on Amazon. I'd recommend using a lighter grip cutting mat if its sticking too much.
Good gawd! How much does the vinyl cost? That’s a big waste for just a small image and six letters. Maybe I should take mine back so I’m not throwing away money. Is there a way we can use more of that vinyl in one cut with doing more images and letters in the creator or reuse what’s left of the vinyl (if pealing the shark and bite me out instead)?

That big round knob on the top of the Cricut allows you to choose material to be cut- this is important. Do this first before you begin cutting.

Which vinyl are you using? Something I have a hard time removing it from the cricut board

Which vinyl should I get for my cricut? They had iron on or the stick on at walmart. I bought iron on but I want to make sure I buy the right stuff.
How does one cut a custom shape? Do i have to draw it out or give a measurement?

Yes. You can upload your own designs, however I don’t know how. You should probably just look up some RUclips videos.

Yes a heat press/iron would be needed after cutting, that’s a separate process

Yes we have tried layering vinyl! You have to cut multiple sheets then transfer one layer at a time using transfer tape. Great question!

can the transfer tape be reused for another project?
Do you need to enroll in "Cricut Access" because I do not have the options in design space that you have listed?

We used to sell our brand on Amazon but it was discontinued. Look for brands with good reviews on Amazon that’s your best bet
