I recieved the Explore Air 2 in the summer/fall of 2021. I JUST unboxed it with you tonight. YAY!!! Life gets so busy, time gets away from me, and I was a little intiminated by this tiny mint colored machine. Your video is a Godsend! I was able to follow along easily, and you got me where I needed to be until my laptop went wonky! Then, I had to search the website for help. But I thank you for helping teach this old dog new tricks and get me to where I needed to be!!! I am already wondering why I procrastinated so much! I'm gonna run this little machine like a BOSS!

I received my Air2 the other day and am looking forward to getting started. Jennifer, your detailed instructions have been so good, it helped me out a lot. Very professional. I was tracking all the way through until it was time to do the test cut, then I ran into a problem. I was forced to call Tech Support and they found the problem. Very clear instructions they gave as well. Everything was clear English, I wasn't speaking to someone from another country like other Tech Support. Don't mean to offend anyone with that. Thank you!! Was seriously on the verge of tears. Bought my Cricut over 2 years ago. Just got it out, followed the directions and it was stuck in prepare and wouldn't cut. Couldn't start all the way over but was able to pick up in Design Space (kinda sorta the same steps) and needed to push the darn mat up. Smh. Thanks again!! ❤

I have my explorer air 2 for 4 years. I’m not a technology person so I feel so intimidated by design space. I’m so afraid I’m going to click the wrong icon and mess up something. I have shown my 15 year old granddaughter my Cricut and maybe with her technology experience she can get me over my fear of the computer and design space. I’m looking forward to making many things soon!
I just got my 1st one today! I'm so excited! But I've gone through all the tutorials. I'm i'm at the point where it says cut in progress and it's doing nothing. It's been here for now 5 mins! What am I doing wrong?
awesome video! Thank you I just watched when I was setting up my first cricut. I did run into a problem however, when I went to do my first trail cut. The computer just says, " cut in progress...preparing." and it has circle spinning around. I'm trying to problem solve now with that. I also accidentally dropped my mat face down on the carpet (00ps) so I had to watch another video on how to clean it! Beginners issues I guess.
It really help me a lot with my newly bought cricut explore air2.. I followed step by step then it goes well. I just had one problem.. my printer cannot print good quality of picture/stickers when I used it on cricut print and cut.. what would be the best printer that may suit with this machine?? I hope you may answer.. tnx
You mentioned putting the dial on ‘custom’ for all upcoming projects instead of for example ‘card stock’ etc. Do you have a video to elaborate a little more? Thanks!

Loved your video with the instructions. Very clear and so helpful! I encountered a last minute issue at the time of cutting. The system was kept saying preparing for cutting, but it never happened. So I turned the machine off. Is there a way to go back to text the cutting to complete the set ups? Please advise.

I just learned about the custom setting on the explore air 2. I have only done a few cuts and I wondered why I wasn't asked to select materials and cutting instructions in design space. When I have the custom setting selected will design space automatically ask the right questions? BTW you are my inspiration. I appreciate your knowledge and that you are so willing to share with us. Awesome video! What I am looking for is a cutter that I can load a piece of decorated paper with images on it (the kind you find in scrapbooking paper pads). The ones you are supposed to "fussy" cut out. I am NOT good at fussy cutting. Does the Cricut Explore Air 2 do this, or does it only cut from the designs from the software? Thanks!

Thank you, that was great. Can you only use card stock or can you use construction paper or copy paper as well?
You can use other paper but quality solid core card stock works the best.
Hi I like your videos I started to set up my air 2 explorer and I didn’t finish doing the set up and started to do things on design space and I started to print something without realizing and now I can’t set it up because it says I started a project 😊

Thank you for this tutorial! I just received mine today(off eBay, Lord willing, it works). I do have one question. Should I leave the dial on custom when cutting whatever material I have? Then, change it when I'm choosing online prior cut?

I have my explorer air 2 for 4 years. I’m not a technology person so I feel so intimidated by design space. I’m so afraid I’m going to click the wrong icon and mess up something. I have shown my 15 year old granddaughter my Cricut and maybe with her technology experience she can get me over my fear of the computer and design space.
I’m looking forward to making many things soon!

awesome video! Thank you I just watched when I was setting up my first cricut. I did run into a problem however, when I went to do my first trail cut. The computer just says, " cut in progress...preparing." and it has circle spinning around. I'm trying to problem solve now with that. I also accidentally dropped my mat face down on the carpet (00ps) so I had to watch another video on how to clean it! Beginners issues I guess.

It really help me a lot with my newly bought cricut explore air2.. I followed step by step then it goes well. I just had one problem.. my printer cannot print good quality of picture/stickers when I used it on cricut print and cut.. what would be the best printer that may suit with this machine?? You mentioned putting the dial on ‘custom’ for all upcoming projects instead of for example ‘card stock’ etc. Do you have a video to elaborate a little more? Thanks!
You can set the material in Design Space, instead of the wheel. 😊🌻

Loved your video with the instructions. Very clear and so helpful! I encountered a last minute issue at the time of cutting. The system was kept saying preparing for cutting, but it never happened. So I turned the machine off. Is there a way to go back to text the cutting to complete the set ups? Please advise.
Yes, It should still be in design Space and you can start the process for cutting over again.

Solved: I just bypassed the setup cut and went straight into Canva design, created, and then cut. Hope this solves y’all problem

I just learned about the custom setting on the explore air 2. I have only done a few cuts and I wondered why I wasn't asked to select materials and cutting instructions in design space. When I have the custom setting selected will design space automatically ask the right questions? BTW you are my inspiration. I appreciate your knowledge and that you are so willing to share with us. yes, when you turn the dial to custom, you will then go into DS and select your materials. 🥰
Awesome video! What I am looking for is a cutter that I can load a piece of decorated paper with images on it (the kind you find in scrapbooking paper pads). The ones you are supposed to "fussy" cut out. I am NOT good at fussy cutting. Does the Cricut Explore Air 2 do this, or does it only cut from the designs from the software? Thanks!
