This absolutely happens, and most the time the parent doesnt find out until it's too late. Dating sites make it extremely easy for predators to essentially "shop" around, because people too-easily disclose that they have children in the home, some even go as far as to detail their dating profile and give their childrens ages, names, and sometimes even include profile pictures with their children in the photos. Evil exists and it's out there 24/7 looking and waiting for an opportunity and believe me when I say they will say and do anything and be exactly who you want them to be in order to get close to the child.

No, he didn't married the mom for HER insurance. He married the mom so that the mom who was sick could get on HIS insurance plan in order for her to get treatment.

And it didn't dawn on Michael to not pursue her because she's very young, vulnerable and his wife just died? Disgusting.

Caution: This is a makeover comment. If she cut that bun on her head off and dyed her hair, put on a little bit of light makeup, earrings and a brighter colored jacket, she would look younger and prettier.

That relationship was dysfunctional from the beginning. I too had a stepdad, I'm trying to wrap my head around even lying next to him in bed, the picture just isn't coming into focus, just the thought of it leaves me feeling guilty and nauseated, one's mother's husband is off limits even if she's deceased , so too is a sister's husband, a cousin's husband or even a friend's husband, guess I'm weird that way but I always want to be able to look myself in the mirror.

Although it should go without saying but it’s actually common that people hop in and out of the sack with any warm body. I kept my distance with friends men, would never date anyone a relative had “slept with”,, it’s just off limits.nor would I date guys my daughters ages. Nope.
