      Yes, me too! It was 20 degrees outside. Not ideal detailing weather

    Do you ever run into times where you burn plastic when steaming? I did a old F150 today and some spots were light white
    I ended up using solution finish

      Typically if I use anything but distilled water in my steamer it will leave a white residue once it dries. Usually wipes off with apc. I don’t think I’ve ever burned plastic. But I will say that ford plastic is very soft and porous so it is possible I guess.

      @@TheDetailingBusiness it’s the first time it’s happened to me, the guy bought it used and it was detailed recently by the dealership so I might have just revealed past damage idk
      Also with the rigid have you ever ran into it making a high pitched sound, I’ve tried cleaning it out and cleaning the filter but still remains, it’s about a month old
      Sorry for the random questions man lol

      No high pitched noise on mine ever. Sounds like a bad bearing. I think they sold you a lemon. Take it back

    Are you using quick detailer for the dressing?

    • @TheDetailingBusiness
      @TheDetailingBusiness  Год назад

      Yes. Meguiars Quik interior detailer for a matte finish

      @@TheDetailingBusiness sweet, do you just spray onto the rag and wipe or do you soak the rag like you do with apc
      I tried using hyper dressing diluted 4:1 and soaked the rag, it came out splotchy on my test area so I just hit it with apc again

    • @TheDetailingBusiness
      @TheDetailingBusiness  Год назад +1

      @@Vega12116 I soak the rag. I only use hyper dressing on interiors of cars that have shiny material. Most new cars have matte finish materials. So I mostly use interior detailer. I actually dilute the hyper dressing a little more. Maybe 8 or 10 to 1 for those interiors. After I apply it, I’ll come back shortly after and massage it in with a dry towel to even it out. The interior detailer will also leave streaks on shiny trim and plastics, so I dry it on those surfaces with a dry towel. The rest I don’t dry

      @@TheDetailingBusiness perfect thank you and do you dilute quick interior at all or do you soak the rag with full strength
