you are always so thorough when explaining grammar. It is easy to understand and take notes down. Thank you
Another great lesson Billy! :D I am sure that it will help people who are confused with this! Such a nice teaching skill of describing the difference between '하다' and '되다' in just about 7 minutes!!
되다 makes me crazy! while i was able to wrap my head around -되고 싶다 (want to be), 됐어 (nah/no thanks.), 어떻게 됐어요? (what happened?/how did it go?) and -게 됐어요 (to end up doing) ... other and most times, my head keeps associating 돠다 with permission/allowability (가도 돼요, 가면 안 돼요?, 가면 돼요? 안 가면 돼요?) even when i shouldn't. so using 되다 "on its own" is a challenge to me, realizing it uses 가/이 makes it clearer to me now thank you!!
I am actually learning Japanese and I have the same problem there with the passive verbs. This video helped me with this o_o thank you!
This is totally useful. Was always curious why 안돼요 was used to mean, "Oh, no!" and this makes it much more clear that it means, "It cannot be (happen)!"
Another great video. I will be watching it a few more times as it is a little over my head...but because it's so clearly done, with a little more study, I should have this point down.
Thanks, Billy!
You really help me to speed up my Korean learning.
Well, this is actually the first time I learn about the differences between 되다 and 하다. Your video really explained it well. Thank you so much!
How thankful i am for you Billy
Thanks
I have been struggling with 되다 for a while now. This was so helpful.
Thanks for explaining 하다 and 되다
I can’t thank you enough you are my teacher in Korean that I am still struggling with but with your lessons it feels possible every timeb
nth much but i just wanted to say Wow thank u for all your kindness for sharing your knowledge and everything i hope you know you've got a lot of people supporting u
This is one of my problems.
I'm fine with 하다 뭉 되다, but thanks for the particle lesson. I'm an upper beginner, but I gave up on those some time ago, hoping that eventually they would just one day make sense. The Korean I use is still fairly short and simple sentences, and people still (mostly) understand me, but I'll have to get around them eventually. Your video helped! These best teachers are ALWAYS non-native teachers, I think, regardless of the language.
thank you very much for this!!!
Im always fascinated by that board
Really helpful.
Really helpful. I'm currently doing 사회통합프로그램 3단계 and I feel I've missed some important basics along the way. Life saver~
Thank you soooo much!!!!!🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
thanks
Thank you :D
My best use as of now is that it works or doesn't, lol. I tried to say I was becoming old and was told it didn't make sense. Lol. I will never QUIT!!!!!
Have you ever thought about getting on Korean TV? Like on one of those shows where foreigners hang out and speak Korean?
I've been invited before but it's not something I'm interested in.
Do you have a video about nasal, aspiration, and assimilation for korean pronounciation?
what's taught in the end of this video to me is somewhere between beginner and intermediate level. I'm an 항상 begginer-intermediate-betweener.
Wax on wax off
I have a question, how is adding -아/어 지다 to a verb different from adding -되다?
I explain how to use ~지다 in this live stream (here's the short edited version): ruclips.net/video/ZzL3yyK-cGk/видео.html
Learn Korean with GO! Billy Korean thank you, I will check out the video of explanation
Thanks for the video Billy.
2:12 Karate Kid reference 😆
Is there any difference between "자야 해요" and "자야 돼요"?
In meaning, no. I did a live stream about those forms here: ruclips.net/video/YLM-XL7LW5g/видео.html
Thank you for that video but how about when we have to use 걱정돼다 instead of 걱정하다 ? I'm confused
It's the same difference as these two verbs.
Mr Billy is Transitive, Active and Causative (Verb) are the same??as well as the Intransitive and Passive(Verb)
No, those are each different. I have several videos about all of those topics on my channel :)
Would ~~나다 vs ~~내다 also be passive vs active?
I think "transitive" and "intransitive" might be a better way to look at them. I made a video about this concept here: ruclips.net/video/iNdKtSPcsUA/видео.html
Thank you so much for this very useful video, Billy. However, I was wondering if you could help me answer my question: What is the difference between ~야 하다 & ~야 되다? I don't know if I'm making perfect sense, but I just hear them being used a lot and I'm not sure when to use which. Thank you!
I did a video about those here: ruclips.net/video/YLM-XL7LW5g/видео.html
@@GoBillyKorean Thank you so much! I watched the video now and it's very helpful. Thankful for all that you do. More power!
I uploaded a Geometry Dash video and wrote the description in Korean fully. Do you think it was written well for a beginner?
the comment is here: 처음 깼을 때 녹화 프로그램이 작동하지 않습니다. 그래서 다시 한 번 더 깨봐서 100 어템 후에 결국 다시 깨서 영상도 찍어서 다행입니다.
개인적인 난이도: 카클보다 더 어렵다고 생각해서 쉬운인데입니다. 겜플이 처음으로 엄청 어려워 보이는데 루트를 다 기억하면 더 쉬워집니다.

Alright, I'm gonna ask. How do you film these!? Are you writing backwards!? My brain can't stop trying to figure it out! LOL (also thank you for the video :) Love your content)
