For people who speak French fluently, 무슨 is kind of the equivalent of "quel". For example , you wouldn't say "tu regarde quoi filme?" You have to say "tu regarde QUEL filme?" Think of 무슨 as "quel" basically.
this is an old comment, but i have to agree that if one speaks a language besides English already, these differences become quite easy to understand! in czech, for example, we have multiple 'what's and that makes it so much easier to distinguish! i generally think that while everything is available in English, the language itself isn't the most helpful and/or varied :D

Music Lover! You can use 어느 and 누구 and also 어떤 for a person. For example, "어느 선생님이 좋으세요?" "어떤 선생님이 좋으세요?" "누가 좋으세요?" These sentences are all correct. but it's wrong if you say "누구 선생님이 좋으세요?". --> You have to say "선생님들 중에 누가 좋으세요?" "선생님들 중에 누가 좋으세요?" = "어느 선생님이 좋으세요?" They are same. 1) 어느 선생님이 좋으세요?: Which teacher do you like? 2) 선생님들 중에 누가 좋으세요?: Who do you like among the teachers? 3) 어떤 선생님이 좋으세요?: What kind of teacher do you like? 4) 누가 좋으세요?: Who do you like? I also would rather spend my summer/money crash coursing at TTMIK language school instead of other big name universities. You should seriously consider opening one. You can start small with only 8-10 students per beginner, intermediate or advanced learner. Keep the classes to 3 hrs in the am and 3 hrs after lunch. Hold the length to 6 weeks so there are no visa problems. Assist students with discounted hotel reservations within walking distance of school. Incorporate field trips into the curriculum e.g. bus/train trips (after teaching directions) restaurant trips and shopping trips after teaching money, etc. I'm sure it would be a very profitable school and students throughout the world can share their cultural backgrounds.
