When I lock the reflectivity and import the layer into Photoshop (via the Escape Motions Connect Plug-in) it loses all of its shine. But if I manually save it as a PSD file and reopen it in Photoshop it works. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong with the plug-in?
when using the plug-in, not all layer settings can be transferred to Photoshop, as it does not have the same features. For example, Pigments or as you mention the metallic shine.
Surely there are going to be problems printing metallics correctly, or as you alluded to exporting to other programmes so isn’t this more a gimmick than anything really useful? Or am I missing something ?
Looking at this, it seems that the locked reflection effect can be exported into other programs / as an image etc but when you move the image around the reflection effect is fixed and doesn't move around like it does in Rebelle 7 etc.
This is an interesting effect. But the ability to have more than one and or import / generate different reflection maps / Gobos would be a really positive benefit. Can Escape Motions provide this to their customers?
hi, justice, a quick question...... I bought Rebelle 7 and have a strange bug. When I pinch and zoom, either in or out, the canvas gets smaller not larger, then kind of rotates off centre..... then nit possible to pinch and zoom. Any idea if a setting needs changing? cheers.
Thank you for this tutorial. I am just starting to learn all this. My mind is blown.
Glad it was helpful!
Black with metallic looks really cool.
Best UI I've ever used in a digital painting software, very intuitive.
Don't forget the upgrade to 7.05 much more stable and it seems to have increased efficiency over all.
how do I change the reflection map in the metallics???? I want to add my own where in rebelle can I do this???
This is not a currently available feature.
can you change angle of reflective ray tracing? like if you want it from bottom
This is not possible at the moment.

Lot of artists don’t print and there are techniques to print paint with thin glossy film which looks like a gold
@@ravenstonez thanks for the enlightenment I was not aware of this service. I had thought of gold leafing but that would mitigate the texture I think
when i turn this on nothing happens?
Please make sure you have Mettalics on in the Layers panel (the Diamond icon) while using Oils and Acrylics.

I’d agree with this request. Gobos really can add to a piece.

They released the 7.0.5 update today which addresses some bugs. You might want to install that to see if it fixes your issue.
