2016 Radical RXC Turbo 500 INSANE Test Drive - Street Legal RACE CAR

- This is the Radical RXC Turbo 500, a race car fitted with a 3.5 liter V6 twin-turbo (Ford EcoBoost), this one being a developpement car, it makes around 530hp, for almost 600kg.
This car is aiming to break the Nurburgring's lap record, already hold by a Radical.
I have NEVER experienced a car accelerating that fast. The thrust is just insane. It's a racecar, with race brakes, clutch, seats and everything, but is road legal! So here you go for a test drive around the legendary Monaco's F1 circuit!

+Alexandre Fernandes I felt this already when the car did not even roll. I had the same thought when I spotted the large Intercooler package :) But you´re right: The noise of the pneumatic gearbox gave me goosebumps.
this would be my daily, no matter how annoying it is to drive
I am truly impressed that even though most other street legal acclaimed race model supercars don't, this car has air conditioning and it looks much closer to a real track only car.
Ramen Masri it's required as long as you want it to be street legal and originally Radicals are race cars made road legal, not viceversa
That tunnel must have been long, when they went in it was night time but when they came out it was day time.
This is incredibly awesome!
Even more awesome is that the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost is originally used in the F-150 pickup truck!
+TheOz91 And now it's in both the racing and road going versions of the Ford GT. You can also get it in the Ford Taurus SHO performance sedan. It's an awesome motor. It's pretty unappreciated by most of the car community but we're just now starting to see the capabilities of this motor! I'm about to try to put one in my Mustang and I'm super excited! lol
WOW! Now that's what I call an insane car. You can even feel it pasting you against the seat through the screen! It's a shame it doesn't use the N/A V8 found in previous models :/
+WBRos59 They use the twin-turbo V6 for weight reduction, and higher efficiency I'm guessing...
Radical now has them available with a v8 built in house! If you need to have a v8. This v6 is plenty powerful for the weight of the vehicle.
The Radical is making all those other supercars look ordinary! They are based about 20 minutes from me near Peterborough, very unassuming company making some amazing cars

it sounds like a turbo charged car which it is sounds fine to me love it
its downshift sound like a silenced shotgun from cod!
At start up it felt like im listening to old alarm clock which is vibrating so hard that i can the barely hear the environment around......anyways i dunn blame u for the sound...as alwayz I like and appreciate ur videos....:))

It doesn't weigh 600kg, the RXC weighs 1100kg. Still crazy fast though. I've driven an SR8 and that was nuts on a race track.

The “carbon” is between 900-1000kg.
The transmission hates slow speeds just like the ford GT. Makes it sound like there is a problem with it but there isn't.

J'avais essayé la SR3 SL à Paul Ricard et on m'a dit que la RXC Turbo 500 était mille fois mieux (c'est mon fond d'écran de tel la RXC turbo 500 depuis Top Marques ahah) !

+James Turner Indeed. My favorite with this engine is the Ford Flex AWD. Such a sleeper looking crossover vehicle. But with a few small bolt on mods and a re-tune on the 3.5L EcoBoost... holy shit fast.
+James Turner i really doubt this is the same version as what you are thinking off. no utility vans or pickups have 530hp in the us, specially with a v6
Chad W Actually the F150 Raptor comes with the 530hp 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 now. The 3.5-liter Ecoboost V6 in the Flex Limited can be easily tuned to the 450-500hp range with the right bolt ons.

No. It charges while going. Takes a few seconds when lighting up the car before starting the engine

Quite a few cars have now eclipsed 7min, but 6.11 is still the target.
