Very important is CRAFTSMANSHIP, nothing else. Does not matter where this car comes from... UK, Germany, italy... This one is truelly R A D I C A L. Congratulations, great Job.
A Radical coupe has always been one of my dream cars and now that it's finally coming, the styling may be a bit disappointing, take a look at the Saker RapX for example, but the rest ist great! Thank you Radical for developing this car and thank you XCAR for bringing this superb video to us!!!
Thank you. I've noticed that seemingly all the established British car shows have companies they love, (Bently, Morgan, Jaguar etc.)and others they ignore - like Radical and Ultima. Nice to see that someone knows those companies exist. It has always puzzled me (down here in Australia) why the top Brit car show should hate some of their best local companies.
The passions of these folks and their skilled craftsmen working with pride in the tiny steel building making these incredible cars are just infatuating. I really want a RXC. Going to call them tomorrow, LOL.
This is pretty much a Le Mans car, for the road. You should feel good about pushing it hard. Faster cornering= higher downforce= more traction. Your safety is your right foot. Keep it pinned, and you'll be fine.
1) My Mistake. I was thinking the GT-R35's VR38DETT, not the R34's RB26DETT. 2) The RB26DETT and VR38DETT have their not insignificant turbos, intercoolers, reinforced block and valve train to survive the boost, additional plumbing and so on. That stuff is going to add weight. 3)The structure of the engine plays in greatly. A GM LS7, NA 7.0L V8 weighs about 430lbs "fully dressed". So, the GT-R engines are made heavier with more gear making them heavier. Displacement means little for weight.
As much as I love Radical's cars, and the fact that you can legally drive cars such as this on our British roads, this particular car would be a nightmare with all our speed bumps and pot holes.
what about parking your motorcycle in front of the door at any store you need to go? probably a lot more practical than a car.. except for shopping at ikea...
It could be a small , light v10. For example a small 2.6L v8 comprised of 2 hauyabusa engines is very light and at the same time powerful and perfect for this application. . So a small v10 can be made but very expensive.
I love it, for a long time I thought "why does nobody create a car looklike a sportprototype, a car like a Peugeuot LMP1?", and voila, here there is, but just one question, can it passed a road bump?
Yeah, on a track i wouldnt be too worried because i would be concentrating and there are safety traps, but on the way home, when you are tired and not fully concentrating, its nice to have the reassurance of esp and abs if a car suddenly steps in front of you.
Yeah, I can see that, because it's kinda weird to make a production engine out of 2 separate Inline-4's, but still. It's a cool engine Idea...It kind of reminds me of some of the GT cars that had high revving engines, but a much lighter over-all package, and without a turbo.
I believe he sees it more like BAC Mono (170mph/274kph), KTM X-Bow (135mph/217kph) and Ariel Atom (155mph/250kph), Radical XRC (175mph/281kph) They are more for handling and acceleration than top speed. None of them hit 200+ mph unlike many super cars. Although I am sure the thrill in these cars are similar to motorcycles in which you get more of a rush from getting up to speed but that's just my thoughts and what I've taken away from the comments.
Looks like a great car, having come from an Exige and an ArielAtom3 (2.4L) looking forward to getting one of these stateside... without the exorbitant added costs some people are trying to charge.
pretty sure that car was based on an Ultima GTR. I couldn't find a Peugeot associated with Jon. It certainly looks like the peugeot, but that was after all the mods he did.
Best looking car ever is the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole made between 85 to 88. Here's a great pic of it in red with the Gold rims. www.remarkablecars.com/main/lamborghini/1986-lamborghini-001.html
If you want to drop a ~650lb lump in the car, fine. I have a feeling the RXC was balanced to work best with a considerably lighter in like an NA 3.7L V6, ~366lbs.
The SAE Curb weight of a D2C Mustang V6 is a bit under 3500lbs. The 2012 GT500 SAE Curbs at just short of 4000lbs The 2013 is a good deal less heavy. 1984.5kg = 4365.9lbs which would be a '12 GT500 plus at least one person and cargo.
+Bas van der Meij (Ykai63) Laat me raden...Nederlander? Breek me de bek niet open over die k*tdrempels hier. Je moet je voor nood zo'n PC hoofttractor kopen om in Nederland nog fatsoenlijk te kunnen rijden.
I love Radical! This is my type of car, just like the BAC which is unbelievably gorgeous, and of course the others you mentioned, X-Bow, Ariel Atom... Oh god please let me win the lottery so i can buy one ^^
So much potential, given their lap at the Nurburgring was just a second less than the $1 million Zonda. Perhaps the Hayabusa V8 will convince us? BTW, it does go over speed bumps!
No not really, If you look "closely" you can see that its a racecar. Just because it doesnt have a v8 or v12 doesnt make it a regular car. I tell you there is many regular cars with v8s. There is even cars with just 1.4 L inline 4 that is definatly not a regular car like the Renault R5 Turbo with over 300 bhp and just 850kg and it was even made in the early 80s.
Looks awesome, but seems very heavy for the 'worlds most extreme road legal coupe', especially given a power/weight ratio of 422bhp/tonne. The Ultima GTR720 (yep, I know it's a kit car!) would make mincemeat of it.. Get the engine from the SR8 in there, instead of the fat old ford unit, and things'll be looking much healthier!
want one soooo bad, i want to take this in the mountains, conservatively of course…but that cockpit needs a quality engine sound but with a little sound dampening.
Love the concept of driving a racecar on the road, streetlegal till you encounter a speedbump...
it haves a lift like most ferraris and lambos.... or you can just put a vagina suspension like a jeep if you want loool
@@thepro08
Well this is a Dubai type of car.
@@FriendlyCroock Dubai speed bumps are horrible they can fuk up a suv....
Aston martin valkyrie enters the chat
This car is stupid...and now I want one.
The short take at minute 3:26, really took my breath away. What a piece of machining job! A real Gem (yes, with Capital "G")!
I loved the look on his face when he was like 'this literally is it, it's a racecar for the road!'
Very important is CRAFTSMANSHIP, nothing else.
Does not matter where this car comes from... UK, Germany, italy...

That is why china doesnt build race cars....

Just the editing makes XCar the best online car show! Absolutely amazing! Love you guys, keep it up!

*FORD power.*
*TRACK engineering.*
*Gearhead perfection, it works for Koenigsegg too!*
Early they used a ford until they reached the performance limits of that engine
The passions of these folks and their skilled craftsmen working with pride in the tiny steel building making these incredible cars are just infatuating. I really want a RXC. Going to call them tomorrow, LOL.
They build these cars in my home city, Peterborough. Come on!!!!
i live there as well yay
One day I'll come. This place is a must see

That is the best sounding Ford V6 I have ever heard!!
This car gives Radical a whole new meaning!
There not stealing the engines, the engines get built all at the factory, the whole car is built there. Great concept of a road racer.
what the hell is that music around 4:27? love it
would love to know the complete soundtrack.
maybe put the track names in the description?
Anyone else think a rotary in one of these would be epic?
Radical haven't been around for very long...22 years isn't too shabby 🤔
A Ford V6 in something like that is insane! I would have thought it might be pretty heavy for the thing though.
As much as I love Radical's cars, and the fact that you can legally drive cars such as this on our British roads, this particular car would be a nightmare with all our speed bumps and pot holes.
People call these impractical but they aren't any less practical than a motorcycle.
motorcycles can drive over a speedbump
what about parking your motorcycle in front of the door at any store you need to go? probably a lot more practical than a car.. except for shopping at ikea...
Until you try to park it in town.
I'm keen to see that bad ass v8 they're designing.
Same. I had to go in specs. The stock Duratec 3.7L is rated about 1.2lb/hp, a power/density measure. So, (305hp x 1.2lb/hp) = about 366lbs.
It could be a small , light v10. For example a small 2.6L v8 comprised of 2 hauyabusa engines is very light and at the same time powerful and perfect for this application. . So a small v10 can be made but very expensive.
Bloody hell, Its Roger Green from Evo magazine . That man can properly drive!!
Yea Ariel did it with two V-TEC L4s, I think it was a 4 litre (K20A)
Small high revving V8's are so cool.
I love it, for a long time I thought "why does nobody create a car looklike a sportprototype, a car like a Peugeuot LMP1?", and voila, here there is, but just one question, can it passed a road bump?
Wicked ride and nice to hear the backstory
I always wondered were Roger Green went after the sudden EVO departure. Thumbs up for Mr. Green!
What is the soundtrack at 6:34? Congrats on another great video guys!
If only the 3.7 V6 Mustang could sound this good...
That the one with the 2 Suzuki 'Busa motors on the same camshaft?
awesome episode guys keep it up!!!
there is so much top could have reviewed but damn still XCARSFilms is doing a very goood job
I would rock that every day of the week. The front reminds me of a Panoz.
It has been tuned for racing. Forged internals, optimized intake, performance exhaust.
I have that heavy McDonalds feel from that logo they use. Great video, thanks for the info.
I tried checking for them using SoundHound but no dice. Going to have those tracks stuck in my head for a while now.
I wish that this V6 sounded so good in the Mustang.
Yeah, on a track i wouldnt be too worried because i would be concentrating and there are safety traps, but on the way home, when you are tired and not fully concentrating, its nice to have the reassurance of esp and abs if a car suddenly steps in front of you.
Very cool cars, no doubt, but the video is EXCELLENT. Thanks.
The Ariel Atom V8 used two top ends of a Suzuki Hayabusa motorbike engine like Radical have done.
Ariel does have a K20A model though.
Oooo this makes my man bits all tingly.
If you watched the whole video you would know that they actually said they drew inspiration from the Lmp1.
Ronald McDonald doesn't always go racing
but when he does he prefers a Radical.
I like this car,you can feel than a Le Mans driver :)
I am personally looking forward their V8 version, engine in SR8RX sounded vicious.
Yeah, I can see that, because it's kinda weird to make a production engine out of 2 separate Inline-4's, but still. It's a cool engine Idea...It kind of reminds me of some of the GT cars that had high revving engines, but a much lighter over-all package, and without a turbo.
it sounds even better then it looks :D
I think it looks funny in a really cool way while driving on the road
" The World's Most Extreme Street Legal Coupe " ...love the car...has Ultima gone out of business?
What's the song used at 1:18?
Is the Ecoboost 3.5 Available in it?
Radical RXC: The World's Most Extreme Street Legal Coupe
Aston Martin Valkrie = Hold My Beer.
God bless the U.K. for making car like this !
I believe he sees it more like BAC Mono (170mph/274kph), KTM X-Bow (135mph/217kph) and Ariel Atom (155mph/250kph), Radical XRC (175mph/281kph) They are more for handling and acceleration than top speed.

That car with their RPX/RPE 2.7L V8 engine of just 88 kg and 420 hp...drool.
what soundtracks did you use?
Awesome vid!
Looks like a great car, having come from an Exige and an ArielAtom3 (2.4L) looking forward to getting one of these stateside... without the exorbitant added costs some people are trying to charge.
I know the V8 wasn't all that big, but I didn't know it revved that high...if that's the case then...damn...
What is that Antena type thing is ?
How do you get over bumbs?
Love Radical!
What's the song at 4:16
the v8 version dose 0-60 in 2.6 seconds
pretty sure that car was based on an Ultima GTR. I couldn't find a Peugeot associated with Jon. It certainly looks like the peugeot, but that was after all the mods he did.
Amazing intro!!!
Whats the name of the song at 1:10?
Who needs a Lambo or Ferrari now ? Not me :) SOLD !
To mainstream in a way right

Nice, I have an Exige 260 cup i thought that was bordering on if it was street legal. The British though know how to make a fun car/chassis.
This is the first time the Mustang's V6 engine makes sence to me.
A car that low would be a problem where I live... Damn speed bumps. :P
+Bas van der Meij (Ykai63) Laat me raden...Nederlander? Breek me de bek niet open over die k*tdrempels hier. Je moet je voor nood zo'n PC hoofttractor kopen om in Nederland nog fatsoenlijk te kunnen rijden.
***** Haha, yep, Nederlander.
+Bas van der Meij (Ykai63) You've never seen Brazil.. shit roads
+Bas van der Meij (Ykai63) raise the ride height!
Guys it's 10 cm from the ground, that's just enough. We drive it in Italy and I can assure you it's full of sleeping policemen anywhere you go
how in the hell is that road legal when it can't go through speedbumps?
queenform hydraulics are optional
But does it have this lifting system or not?
i like it. something about how far those rear taillights being so far apart bugs me though
I love Radical!
This is my type of car, just like the BAC which is unbelievably gorgeous, and of course the others you mentioned, X-Bow, Ariel Atom...
Oh god please let me win the lottery so i can buy one ^^
thank you for your video, love you
Guys, forget sound proofing and just put an intercom in there.
This is one of the BEST !!!
I can't wait until they release the V8 version mentioned here.
Then look at the RCR SL-C! Its been out for years winning on the track and on the street.
how do you handel the Speed bumps?!?!?
Excellent reviews,
So much potential, given their lap at the Nurburgring was just a second less than the $1 million Zonda. Perhaps the Hayabusa V8 will convince us? BTW, it does go over speed bumps!
I think Ariel did that already with the engine in their Atom V8.
I think its awsome... a V8 revving to 16,000 or so...
I've never liked the way that engine has sounded until right now
Song? At 1:30
If you have ever driven a Radical, any Radical, then you wouldn't be calling it 'just a regular car'....
i like to see this one vs arial atom vs rage buggy
Wael waleed it would make both look like civics

Wrong presenter again!!
Stick with the English guy with the funny hair. Can't remember his name but he makes this channel so much better
Looks awesome, but seems very heavy for the 'worlds most extreme road legal coupe', especially given a power/weight ratio of 422bhp/tonne. Can I has?! I promise I'll turbo it and make everyone proud as fuck.
xcar goes hard
You can now get these with traction control and ABS.. although they are no longer making road going versions
want one soooo bad, i want to take this in the mountains, conservatively of course…but that cockpit needs a quality engine sound but with a little sound dampening.
This is my dream car
