I’ve had my previous generation XSR700 (18 plate) since new, and loved every year on it. I can ride all day (and have done several times). I’d say motorways are miserable on it, but that could be more to do with helmet quality than the bike itself. Wind is atrocious at motorway speeds on any naked bike. So I tend to keep of the motorways unless necessary, but I’ve ridden to Scotland, and down to Cornwall multiple times from the midlands, and it’s always been a fun experience. The looks of the bike are what sold it to me, and it’s got plenty of grunt and sportyness for any new bike rider to learn and grow with.
Nice vid. Now I'm getting on a bit and struggling with racey riding positions and heavy bikes, I am planning on getting an XSR700 with all round Öhlins and a high level Akrapovic pipe. My Speed Twin 1200 is awesome, but just too heavy and rear end access for maintenance is a nightmare.
Some cocktail sticks of info to digest. I wonder if they'll bring out any blingier versions with some gadgetry (quickshifters & the likes). I'm not a fan of the 900's throne of a passenger seat.
Not likely, this is already a premium bike compared to the '21 700, which sports a calculator dash, halogen bucket, huge candlelight bulb blinkers and slightly smaller brakes. Triumph will be the premium brand for something like this.
Best advert ever for the XSR900. On a side note, have you sorted out your issues with your Nine T? I'm seriously thinking of buying one but your last video on it put me off and then yesterday I saw a really good-looking one.
What's up chubby? Totally irrelevant to this video but I notice you don't have a gen1 tuono in your bike collection? You ever owned one or road one? In my opinion still one of the most fun road bikes you can buy
That looks absolutely banging in white 👌 if only the 900 came in that colour scheme.
banging means fucking

Good insight. Debating over this or the 900. Im 6 3 with a 800 vfr croasrunner. So worried and wind and noise etc. . Might be too big for it.
Up and at em boothy get well soon kid.
Harassed by 125s 😂 Love it!

Just got mine a month or so ago. Great bike, but scratches so easily. 🥲

I want one in white but I think it's only available in Europe and Asia and I live in the US. How much was yours out the door?
