I bought a 2024 two weeks ago and fell in love with the old school look. This machine is a blast. I highly recommend getting 1 if you're in the market

Within the first 5 minutes of the demo ride I fell in love with it lol

I’m debating between the 900 and 700, any advice. What sways me is the fuel consumption is better on the 700, and apparently the sound is better too

As an XSR700 owner who recently added an FXLRS to my garage - I really enjoyed this review! Each bike has its purpose, but the XSR is just such a great machine all around

I have an FLHRXS and a vespa 150 to my garage and looking to add an XSR700 (hopefully soon) I want a flickable naked bike like I had before (Z900rs)

Great review IBR. That xsr700 looks like alot of fun. Light quick nimble bikes are so much fun. 😎🏍️👍

I loved my XSR700, especially after I put an aftermarket exhaust on it, but overall felt way too big on it. 6'2" 205lbs. Power was fun, but being so tall I never felt comfortable really attacking corners.
I switched to an Indian Scout with a full stage 1 kit and felt wayyy more comfortable on that bike and honestly felt like it had similar speed low end and especially more near the top end.

I bought a scout bobber for those reasons. Still wouldn’t mind a naked bike to pair with cruisers

Its a classic looking, lightweight, comfy supermoto seating position, fuel efficient bike.
Oh and its a wheelie happy hooligan when you spank it.

I’m a former GSXR squid and wanted to get back into motorcycling. Now I’m over 3k miles into a 2023 XSR700. I really appreciate this bike but wish it had a little more… Looks cool but wish it was a little more refined. Ergos are awesome but I miss wind protection. Great low end with a smooth power band but the engine braking is abrupt. Handles well cuz it’s lightweight but the suspension doesn’t inspire confidence in the corners. Ultimately, I got the XSR700 for the reliability and value at $7499 over a MT07, Trident, Scrambler Nightshift, Z650rs and Street Twin. It keeps me modest and out of trouble. I’m definitely not the rider I once was so I know I’m not riding to its maximum capability. At this point it’s all the bike I need but not the bike I want. If I had to do it over again, I woulda spent more for a XSR900 or Street Triple or Tuono 660 or ZX6R or maybe a Streetfighter V2.

Don't buy a naked bike then complain about wind protection. That's obtuse.

The info comes across pretty clearly as the current black background is an update from the white background from previous years. LCD is definitely not as good as TFT screens or as cool as analog but I think the dash is an exercise in style at a price point.
