Creed is literal the 40K Winston Churchill, cigar and big coats were a thing. Also for Guard upgrade sprues, if they made one with Pith helmets GW would make a killing!
He's modelled after Patton and Churchill. The jacket and two pistols was very much Patton, while the face and cigar came from Churchill. He's basically a mishmash of famous WW2 Western Allied figures.
Anyone else get the feeling of listening to a little cousin who is super excited about whatever interest they found when Jay gets excited? lol You start to notice it when he gets excited about an idea, he starts to repeat his words and the words "really" "very" "super" all start coming because his mind is running a million miles a minute on all the ideas. It starts to get you also excited for no reason other than their own excitement. lol
Same! I love the chipper, almost childish enthusiasm he puts into everything he talks about, even when it’s something he doesn’t like. All his videos put me in a good mood!
The one joy of hearing that opening is knowing we all made it to Friday, unfortunately I am working, but deff going to paint to tonight! Finishing my Imperial Knight Castellan tonight!
the weird thing about the two dwarven minis is that one of them is supposed to be just a slightly mutated and cloned human and the other is a full on fantasy dwarf, but the fantasy one has a way more "that could be a person's name" name than the one descended from humans.
That damascus blade does look lit. I feel like a damascus powersword would look insane (in a good way), I imagine the swirls glowing like veins of energy. I'm definitely putting that into play for my Honored scions.
The original Yarrick banner was in a page of White Dwarf, with one fully coloured and one being a black and white for you to colour in, I guess if you went custom colours with his look! I need to dig mine out as it also has the Ghazkull banner.
They'll definitely bring Yarrick back at some point. The whole thing of "he's probably dead" is basically a way of bringing him back but like even more insane and badass
You're too hard on our man Caiaphas. He is a really good swords man for an unenhanced human and I wouldn't say he's a coward, he's more pragmatic than cowardly. He'll walk into danger if he feels he has to for his position, troop morale or to save himself! 😉 He tries to avoid being killed or getting his troops killed, but once he decides he has to put himself in danger he gets the job done.
Jay, if you liked Nemesis and want more miniture based board games you should check out:- Gloomhaven (rpg-ish dungeon crawler and lots of lovely miniatures) For miniature space ships try Eclipse: Second dawn for the galaxy I could keep going 😄
Kharadron are impossibly cool. I have a start collecting box, a few other dwarves and characters, and a big honkin Ironclad and I had to put them on their own shelf because they looked so much cooler than my chaos armies that took me many hours of work across many years to build up
I agree on the upgrade sprues. I find no need in going back to upgrade models however if they sold them at the same time as building I would definitely fit those upgrades in and purchase them.
Honestly, I see the upgrade sprue as a useful way to individualize models for Kill Team more than 40K. Even if I already had a guard army and wanted to make a guard Kill Team, I'd get all new models so I could make each one their own person.
Jay, Necromunda is a game you need to try. It was one of the first games i played that sucked me into this hobby. I love necromunda and all the new models, even though they are all the more expensive Forgeworld, are beautiful!
Ok so as an ork player I'm even tempted by the cadian upgrade sprue just for some of those bits. Also the gasmasks look great and i cannot wait to see guard players start making use of them
i too recently grabbed Nemsis, but this one is the 2nd one that takes place on the planet below, i had grabbed since it was half off. the monsters arnt quiet as striking as the first set but i think they can still be painted up nicely
Jay, when you said you love steampunk. I couldn't help but think of the Christmas present I got this year, I got the super starter pack for Twisted by Demented Games (Dickensian and Servants of the Engine minis). I know you're reluctant to start a new game but the models are next level and so steampunk! I you haven't heard of it give it look online. Even if you just wanted some different minis to paint.
It is the same reason Necromunda took time off. Right now only have little trickle in the books and gang upgrades. Once they Necromunda gangs get more flushed out, you will see a big upswing for the badlands.
Some of the old commissars are nice. I’m somewhat a fan of the new not yet released one even if he’s not very dynamic. The new Votann Kahl is just the same old guy. I might be tempted to get one inquisitor just so I have a generic one besides named characters that cost more (admittedly can do more too).
I'm not sure if you noticed this but the Anthorite Dunescuttler looks exactly like the first Gorkog model Dave showed from Ravaged Star in 2022. Same pose, size, features, etc. Its mind blowing if you look it up.
I've heard you meantion Root before. Have you seen the 3D printable miniatures? They're a little chibiesque. And there are all sorts of ancillary things too, like roost for the aerie dynasties and stuff. I'd love to see you tackle those :)
If you like Steampunk, you should check out Warmachine. The entire world setting is some heavy steampunk vibes and it's a brilliant game! The models look awesome, too. :D
Severina Raine would still have to execute the Guardswoman that ran away, even if it was because of Chaos magic. All the other Guardsmen that SAW their squad mate run, would not have know that it was because of magic. All they would see is one of them running away, and when one breaks, more will break unless something is done to reinforce morale. Also, the Ash waste Stalkers (and nomads) would make for some fun Chaos Cultist proxies and kit bashes.
Yeah would be nice to have a pack that had teeth of terra or the 2 handed eviscerator, all the different bolter patterns, and pistols, claws, thunder hammers, Corvus hammer, Blades of Reason, Maces of absolution, etc. etc.
Regarding the Nemesis game, definitely look up 'No Rolls Barred' on RUclips. Adam does a series called 'Board Game Masterpieces', and the Nemesis one is really good. Highly, highly recommended.
The old style of models look so much better to me. You guys know of any creators that make printable models in the style of the late 90s and early 2000s, especially in a fantasy universe ?
This. The collective Ork consciousness psychically imprints the psychic spirit of Yarrick into one of their own, inadverdently creating an abomination of a massive, belligerent Warboss (even for an Ork), who travels the stars mainly fighting other Orks because he subconsciously hates his own species. Within he's conflicted between intense self hatred and enjoying the admiration of his kin for his savagery and kunnin'. He also enjoys wearing a really fancy hat for some reason. Let's call him "Boss Bale Eye Yorkrick"
OMGORSH! I actually have a Kommisar Bob! 😄😄😄👍🎅👍 He took silver in an IPMS show - the only 28mm against all the 54mm Historical miniatures! (Was told by a judge, had he been 54mm he'd have taken gold! But, they could not justify giving the gold medal to a 28mm in a category for 54's! 🤪😜🤣👍🎅👍 I digress...)
The overlord ship man is perfect, except for his hammer, he wants the ship to be in the focus, so I'd prefer if the hammer was heavy side down, it'd put the ship in better focus
Maybe you should try playing a game of ashwastes and then you'll see how it's so good. Once you get the vehicle combat rules it really opens up a new way to play. It's even better where you can combine it with the campaign system and the rules for the original necromunda
The newest Daemon Prince is great! For 40K, Vashtorr is probably the model I’m most looking forward to. Was WE but not really a fan of their new lineup models besides redone Berserkers. Didn’t see any mentioned but new AoS models are imo absolutely good (especially the underworlds models).
That first squat model looks like he /was/ doing something, like running or something, and he's suddenly come to a stop and he's asking himself "What am I DOING with my life?!?". Look at the expression on his face. He's literally questioning everything he's done to get to this point. :P
I really don't like the desolation squads. I get that they're supposed to be the Primaris Devastator equivalent, but I wish they would've just released a kit with slightly different armor and had the optional of heavy bolter, grav cannon, etc. Maybe even a knew weapon type similar to the sergeant's gun (but smaller) that had anti-air/anti-fly rules. Then you could kit them out to be a footslogging option that gets bonuses to targeting models or vehicles with fly.
To be honest favorite model is the doberman in that one kill team why? You ask because I once had a doberman and I loved him so much...he passed away 2 years ago...and I want that model and get it professional paint to have him in spirit as a model in collection.
Ash wastes reminds me of the same problem happening with Kill team into the dark right now. It was a cool idea, looks good, and is a great alternate way to play but it's not a replacement for the core product and shouldn't have dominated the entire line for 1-2 years. Time to move back to what works.
Individually some are good, but you can't make a good looking army anymore as they're in fixed poses. Kitbashing usually makes them look very messy and rough around the edges unless you're very good with greenstuff
In terms of Commissar's, I've yet to get into the Cain novels. So only I'm aware of are Raine and Gaunt, easily hands down the latter of those two is my favourite. Very out of left field persona to a Commissar, you don't like him but you can respect and undertand his thought process.
Every Necromunda miniature is indeed a banger!
I agree, I always wanted to get into Necromunda, but I am too deep into Kill Team right now.
Hey BOD, I really enjoy your content! It's cool to see we share a creator we enjoy, I look forward to watching more of your middle earth videos!
@@rexaxis3450 Thanks! Yeah, love watching a bit of Eons :D Fun vids

The new version is pure trash.
Except with less Irish and Indian genocide.
@@grahamcarpenter691 you're a tard for thinking he did indian genocide, mate.
@@scepteredisle I’m sure he was a good boi and did nothing wrong to India
Anyone else get the feeling of listening to a little cousin who is super excited about whatever interest they found when Jay gets excited? lol You start to notice it when he gets excited about an idea, he starts to repeat his words and the words "really" "very" "super" all start coming because his mind is running a million miles a minute on all the ideas. He's the most wholesome Warhammer content creator I've come across. I love listening to him talk about his passion.
I keep coming back for these lovely clickbaity thumbnails cause I just like to hear what you have to say. Happy Friday everyone
Lmao same
Happy Friday friend!
Happy Friday
Happy Friday the 13th!
Creed being a TMNT Villian is spot on 😂
the weird thing about the two dwarven minis is that one of them is supposed to be just a slightly mutated and cloned human and the other is a full on fantasy dwarf, but the fantasy one has a way more "that could be a person's name" name than the one descended from humans.
"You don't need to collect inquisitors" - Jay, who has 1,753 Chaplains.
That damascus blade does look lit. I feel like a damascus powersword would look insane (in a good way), I imagine the swirls glowing like veins of energy. I'm definitely putting that into play for my Honored scions.
Love the point of giving a heads up to made to order models, I’ve missed a few I really wanted because I couldn’t set hobby budget aside for them.
The Votan models have reinvigorated my love for painting and the hobby. I think they’re the coolest things they’ve ever made.
Actually love the ash wastes idea! Just amazing 😍
The original Yarrick banner was in a page of White Dwarf, with one fully coloured and one being a black and white for you to colour in, I guess if you went custom colours with his look! I need to dig mine out as it also has the Ghazkull banner.
Last week I was in a greenstuff class with Juan Diaz and his wife. Overall great teacher and person, he does MAGIC with green stuff
I will probs buy all of the made to order models this go around. They're all so nostalgic
These are actually my favourite videos you do.
7:34 I actually did the little pew pew thing this evening! had great fun watching an armiger decimating everything
jay's idea for ash wastes is just wargaming spore...
and i would fucking love it
Jay is like this millenium's Bob Ross! Thank you!
They'll definitely bring Yarrick back at some point. The whole thing of "he's probably dead" is basically a way of bringing him back but like even more insane and badass
Yarrick crossing the Rubicon. Primaris Commisar! Primarisar?
The kino of the 1st/ 2nd edition model will never be surpassed.
Probably involve ghaz somehow
You're too hard on our man Caiaphas. He is a really good swords man for an unenhanced human and I wouldn't say he's a coward, he's more pragmatic than cowardly. Want to see a book about the adventures of Inquisitor Bob.
the cadian sprue is absolutely amazing i cant wait for it, not just for tank command
The steampunk look is what really got me to collect an army of Kharadon.
Just the thing I need to sort my hangover out
Jay, if you liked Nemesis and want more miniture based board games you should check out:-

Jay, Necromunda is a game you need to try. It was one of the first games i played that sucked me into this hobby. I love necromunda and all the new models, even though they are all the more expensive Forgeworld, are beautiful!
Guard upgrade sprew, as the warhammer community article said, could also be used to make a cadian vet. Guard kill team
Ok so as an ork player I'm even tempted by the cadian upgrade sprue just for some of those bits.
Also the gasmasks look great and i cannot wait to see guard players start making use of them

Nemesis sounds like a lot of fun!
Are the cycling-in commissars/creed just not in Canada? I cant see it in the Canadian GW webstore
It is the same reason Necromunda took time off. Right now only have little trickle in the books and gang upgrades. Once they Necromunda gangs get more flushed out, you will see a big upswing for the badlands.

You can still get the old techmarine on the webstore.
Your videos have inspired me to pick up a brush and give this a try!
This intro man just doing it for me!
My favorite RUclipsr posts on my birthday, horray!
I imagine that Nick keeps getting Sean to play new games he is invested into and Sean is naturally good at games so he beats Nick
I picked up Nemesis for Christmas too. I haven’t played it yet, but it already looks like a blast. I can’t wait to give it a go!
I read the Severina Raine short stories leading up to the novel but haven't gotten around to the novel yet. Loved the shorts though!
Yarrick gets brought back through Psychic Feedback from the Waaagh! As a Saint
I'm not sure if you noticed this but the Anthorite Dunescuttler looks exactly like the first Gorkog model Dave showed from Ravaged Star in 2022. Same pose, size, features, etc.

Surely the orks will get whipped into a frenzy convinces he's alive again and he'll straight up be reanimated
the squat boat guy killed me! Might have to start a squat army just because they are now confirmed nerds :D
Plinking away with his Red Rider BB Gun?!
Someone just got entered into the Book of Grudges.
YO, THE FUCKIN IMPERIAL GUARD UPGRADE IS ACTUALLY USEFUL, HOLY SHIT
If you like Steampunk, you should check out Warmachine. The entire world setting is some heavy steampunk vibes and it's a brilliant game! The models look awesome, too. :D

God you pointed out the model boat, I missed that with that smish smash paintjob.
Yeah would be nice to have a pack that had teeth of terra or the 2 handed eviscerator, all the different bolter patterns, and pistols, claws, thunder hammers, Corvus hammer, Blades of Reason, Maces of absolution, etc. etc.
Jay is good boy, Nick is Naughty boy!
The modification box set = GWs half assed attempt at mimicking Anvil Industry 🤣😛
Where to order Yarrick? Couldn't find it
Killing off Yarrick is like if you killed off someone like commander farsight or haarken worldclaimer.
I’m surprised you didn’t mention the new boarding action boxes and the balefleet box for Space Marines and CSM
Regarding the Nemesis game, definitely look up 'No Rolls Barred' on RUclips. Adam does a series called 'Board Game Masterpieces', and the Nemesis one is really good. Highly, highly recommended.
Nemesis is my Favout Game Everrrrrrrr!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
The old style of models look so much better to me. You guys know of any creators that make printable models in the style of the late 90s and early 2000s, especially in a fantasy universe ?
The orks are just going to think him back to life
"GUD OL YARRIK CANT DIE!!" *his skeleton just fucking rises*
This.
The collective Ork consciousness psychically imprints the psychic spirit of Yarrick into one of their own, inadverdently creating an abomination of a massive, belligerent Warboss (even for an Ork), who travels the stars mainly fighting other Orks because he subconsciously hates his own species.

Let's call him "Boss Bale Eye Yorkrick"
From what I've heard the Jurassic Park miniatures game kinda fits that predator vs prey idea you described.
"Rolly Polly Ollies" I'd totally buy those :)
Finally, someone else who has the same feelings about steampunk as I do.
That does sound cool, an ash waste beast battle game. Like Gorkamorka with living beasts with howdahs instead of cars....
Your version of Ash Wastes sounds like a physical version of the 2nd stage of Spore!
OMGORSH! I actually have a Kommisar Bob! 😄😄😄👍🎅👍 He took silver in an IPMS show - the only 28mm against all the 54mm Historical miniatures! (Was told by a judge, had he been 54mm he'd have taken gold! Love that idea for a game
the khad overlords actually might get me into AOS
Commissar yarrick needs to come back as kommysar Yurk, an ork who "is" yarrick, weird, but an awesome idea to get revenge on angron.
The overlord ship man is perfect, except for his hammer, he wants the ship to be in the focus, so I'd prefer if the hammer was heavy side down, it'd put the ship in better focus
My friendly local game store has had ghaz and yarick next to each other on a shelf for months
I see a lot of potential for the Kahl model but it'd need a bit of time sunk into it to pose it correctly.
Maybe you should try playing a game of ashwastes and then you'll see how it's so good. Once you get the vehicle combat rules it really opens up a new way to play.
It's even better where you can combine it with the campaign system and the rules for the original necromunda
Buy both Yarricks and kitbash the arms, weapons, banners onto the better proportioned miniature.
The newest Daemon Prince is great! For 40K, Vashtorr is probably the model I’m most looking forward to. Was WE but not really a fan of their new lineup models besides redone Berserkers.

I missed the armour through the ages as it was not on made to order very long and I couldn’t afford it at the time, was a real shame
The commissars are so cool makes me wanna start a new army. Cus you can't mix space marines and imperial guards right?
That does sound like a great boardgame! Which $100+ Premuim Board games are a thing.
You're correct on Steampunk
Ash wastes reminds me of the same problem happening with Kill team into the dark right now. Damn nemesis sounds dope
Man I want a Jurassic themed survival board game!
I don't have a 3d printer but really want the terrain from the patron, any ideas.
