I had already installed the do88 radiator in my 2001 V70XC along with down pipe from ReVolv and iPd exhaust. Think this is going to be my next step along with new intake and injectors and tune.
Sounds like a good plan to me. Intercooler is essential support mod for making more power ! The injectors will help but make sure to upgrade your fuel pump aswell!
Great vid man thanks for taking the time. You plan on turbo upgrade? I’m thinking of sending mine in to get hybridized but not sure if I wanna do fmic or drop in intercooler yet.
I’d do intercooler before hybrid because it’s going to need an intercooler to support it anyway I’d like to do a hybrid turbo but being that I am automatic I am hesitant but RN I’m making around 20PSI on stock turbo so when I begin to get bored of the current witch I doubt I will maybe I’ll send the K24 in for some spice :) they aren’t very cheap for a good hybrid either. Haha thanks for commenting bro!
is this intercooler good for builds between 350-400hp? I am aiming to do that, engine is currently being rebuilt, other parts have been bought too (hybrid 16T turbo, 550cc bosch injectors, walbro 255 pump etc), but I'm still not sure whether to go with do88 or fmic. Any info on this would be much appreciated, thanks!
Do you think I should get this intercooler first or get those silicone air intake and turbo outlet pipes first? Basically it is increase air flow to a heat soaked OE intercooler or just get cooler air into the engine. Nvm I think I answered my own question.
@@positivegarage I have the same car as you but since I have the auto, it is limited in power gains. I just want to keep this as long as I can and well maintained so I figured the IC upgrade, wider PCV nipple hose to 4mm, and an Oil catch can prior to the PTC air intake. Question: With all your mods did you put an oil catch can?
Hello, I have a question about the intercooler - has the temperature in the intake dropped significantly after installation and is it worth installing?
A day and a half roughly but I’m sure you can do it quicker I started late in the day I’d say you can get it done less then 6 hrs if you focus and have all necessary tools
I have Hilton I’ve never heard of shark but that might be because you have a V50 but wow it must be awesome with that M66. I’m stage 2+ with Hilton rn and so far very satisfied with the power. Going to dyno soon hopefully
@@positivegarage it’s definitely a unicorn car nobody knows what it is and I get compliments all the time especially when you hear the turbo on decel, and awesome please keep me updated I think I’m going to to Hilton, I’d love to see your numbers 🤟🏻🤟🏻
is the Do88 intercooler a front mount that is visible from the exterior? I bought one from IPD for my 2006 R and its being shipped to me now. I am under the impression it will be visible but I didn't see it in your video.
It will not be visible , unless you remove your ac condenser . It is a drop-in intercooler not a FMIC( Front Mount Intercooler) witch you can see from the front. The do88 is in between the ac condenser and radiator you will not be able to see it from outside.

I’d upgrade your cbv too before upgrading turbo! You’d be surprised how much a tune can improve the car !
How about hp gain did it feel faster any boost differences
Much better and durable compared to original
Do you need any extra intercooler piping or are the stock ones good enough

So did you get a increase hold boost better
Yes! It’s a great benefit and increase especially if you plan on tuning! Have one for sale cheap on Instagram too @the.moose.market on instagram

Didn’t do an IAT test before and after but it’s 100% an improvement over stock in terms of build quality overall!
@@positivegarage Thanks ;)

Oh man that will make life so much easier! I had to do it in the driveway!hahaha
I have a v50 t5 r design m66 AWD, and I’m looking into doing mods. Are you stage 2 from Hilton ? I wanna know who makes more. Hilton or shark

Hi, what year the car that you worked on and does it feat to s80 2007 2.5 turbo?
Thanks for your help and reply
Well that fit a 2006 xc90?
No I don’t believe this specific one will fit your xc90 but they do make ones for your car. Reach out to me on Instagram and I can send you a link!
Will this fit P3 XC60??
Unfortunately I think P3 Intercooler setup is slightly different
Det virker mere vildledende end vejledende - kameraet ryster konstant, hvilker gør det så godt som umuligt at følge med.

@@positivegarage thank you. Yea I was hoping for the aesthetic but I look forward to the performance gain
Where is the sound?
What do you mean?
@@positivegarage Sorry - I originally had no sound, but reloading RUclips got the sound back.
No worries glad you could get it to work!
