  • In this video, I am replacing the front shock absorber on a 2006 V70. It is the same job for doing just the top bearing or mount. Only special tool you need is a spring compressor. Compressing springs can be dangerous so wear proper safety gear and be careful. One side will take anywhere between 30min to 1,5h depending on your experience and also how well things come off.

Was ein Pfusch, wie kann man solche vergammelten Federn weiter verwenden? Da wäre mir das vermessen zu teuer.Wenn alles neu auch die Domlager fährt sich dann auch schön ruhig

Any joy with the lift kit for xc90! The spring perch is such a restriction on these platforms!! 😢

Its thesame problem as my S60 I just get the parts I hope I can to it, It look easy a little question how about alignment of the wheel? It should be torch 45 digree and 90 digree. That what they said.

If you only replace shocks and put them back as shown in the video, you will be fine. Wheel alignment is something you should do from time to time anyway so it's not a bad idea doing it after such a repair.

Some body needs to learn how to hose off the under carriage and wheel wells every so often. My s80 looks as new under by just an spray down removing all that dirt grime. WAY easier to service.
