Hi Peachy, I was just curious as to what you use for your video set up? Do you have any cameras/lights you'd recommend and what do you use to position your camera? I'd be interested in making some videos and yours look great!
I'm glad you've gone alone Peachy - the trifecta is complete! Duncan for the classic details (mainly for characters), Suggs for the madcap schemes (and goblins), and you for the army speed painting! By their powers combined, the model painting world is truly blessed. Keep it up mate!
Slaanesh my beloved. I'm just getting into mini painting & Warhammer 40k, and I was drawn right to Slaanesh. I really love the Seekers and the various Slaaneshi chariots when it comes to GW models.

I am thankfull to Peachy for teaching me to paint and wash cracks the Slaaneshi way! Diazmonettes 4ever
This was a really inspirational video for learning how to approach speed painting and in knowing where to put the effort and were to be a little looser in approach. I too never wanted to see a blissbarb archer again after painting my unit of 10, must have spent just a week on those damn straps! That cloth wrap then just do the hands and toes look is a great idea. Now wouldn't be put off doing more.
Really enjoyed this; so glad you made yourself a home on youtube. I've been Watching since warhammer TV and I've never played or have ever purchased a GW model. Aww thank you! What a delightful and morale boosting comment to read, I’m chuffed you’ve stuck with me, even with my dodgy editing skills (though I’m confident that’ll improve in time). I’ve heard so much good stuff about zombicide, so I will have to look at the minis for a guide. And it’s nice to know that even though you dont paint GW you still watch my videos. Hey Peachy!! Great video and while many Chanel’s work on single figures to a level of box art or competition level I just want to say I appreciate your experience in army painting and table top gaming. Peachy Tips has inspired my painting and I’m 3 units and 4 characters into a AOS army that I’ve been sitting on for 2 years. Your videos are exactly what I have needed to free up some silly expectations on painting level for an army!! Thanks for all you do :)

Hey Peachy, I really love your painting guides. It's really refreshing to see some quick and easy guides. My wish would be, to get a similar video for Genestealer cult, the ressources on GSC painting are very limited and painting them FAST and SIMPLE is even more rare. Maybe you are intressted in a follow up from your "Road to Apocalypse: Peachy's Genestealer Cults" Video , by showing diffrent Units? I would love it. 😁

Thank you, I really enjoyed doing the dwarf video, the last one about narrative is of a similar vein, but yes more of that type to come….and Napoleonic 40k
as I'm new to the hobby, I really appreciate this kind of approach to trying to learn the painting aspect. I'm a bit intimated by it all still but I'm sure that'll come around soon. One question I have is... Is it better to sub assemble paint some more complex models, and then finish assembly? I'm honestly not sure. Keep up the great work dude!
Hey Adam, firstly thanks for the nice message, I’m chuffed you’ve found the approach I use helpful. Secondly I’ve often found that the sub assemblies depend on the model, most minis I build entirely and paint, with cavalry and their riders (or bikes and their riders) I paint as two separate entities. Same goes with the crew of vehicles, and some big monster kits, but mostly I just glue everything together and paint it. Cheers Peachy
Slaanesh is my favorite because they probably have a similar taste in music as I do: Imperial Triumphant, Lychgate, Oranssi Pazusu, Portal, and the like...
Mmmm .. I enjoyed this, especially the little extra touch of scarification marks and the use of beauty products, pleasure and vanity to go with those indulgent luxurious materials, mm .. decadence and hedonism.

"so from a gold undercoat we're just gonna start base coating some of the cloth." I think that audio clip managed to sneak into the video two more times than it was supposed to, but it was funny though :)

Seeing how you used both red and purple washes the way you did made me realize I basically only know how brown, sepia, and black washes work. It would be nice to know how to use the other colored washes when painting my plastic toys. Hope you kinda understood what I tried to say :)

Hey think the video is great, the rust tone over that technical paint for the base is amazing! Do have a question if you have the time to answer, i noticed your using the fanatic range like me, is there an equivalent in the range to citadels Orruk Skin? The closest green in tone to that. Thank you so much
Good luck with the channel mate. Just an FYI. Mine and my Girlfriends Slaanesh daemons. Are painted based off a quick tutorial you did years ago on the warhammer channel with a Daemonette. I've a keeper to paint up then ill have them on my channel.
Oh nice! Good gosh that was a longtime back lol, glad to know those guides still get some love, are you thinking of doing the keeper of secrets in the same scheme?
@PeachyTips essentially yea haha. Think your guide was before contrast medium was a thing 🤔 so for such a large model I'll be doing the overall purple wash over the white and pink hair. But. I'll use medium to massively thin the wash and build up the colour in layers towards the extremities.
Sigmar controls the light!! Liked the tips and the paints used as have the mega set of fanatics, am still trying to find the way of each colour. Will you be doing paint reviews (or usage tips etc) as your approach will be Yorkshire honesty!!
Honestly I isn’t really consider doing reviews, but then I’m still finding my vibe, so I’m not going right it off, if anything I could introduce a review into a guide
@@PeachyTips I bought 6 boxes of freeguild steelhelms and hopefully after doing so many transfers on their shields I’ll be a pro😅 The transfer sheet you get with the set is absolutely beautiful 😍😍 I’m planning on doing a game with these models but using the rules and stats from middle earth sbg
Those converted models that you showed at the beginning of the video are amazing....could you do a video about converting? And show us how you converted those models? Btw, I painted 10 archers and concluded that 10 is enough for my army....too many details, as you said.
I like both, but I also want to try new things, and army painter reached out and sent me a bunch of stuff, and honestly I’m enjoying them, I’ll still look at using Ak, as well as other paints down the line, but I’m currently interested in seeing how these work out for me. Plus at the end of the day, regardless of paint company you can easily adjust the colours to your favourite brand if that makes sense
Awesome vid Peachy - totally agree on the Blissbarb's - absolutely gorgeous minis but too much for rank and file. Never got round to playing Slaanesh so far but the playstyle seems fun and there's so much you can do when it comes to painting. Bit of a weird question but in the intro there was a model with like a sheer/semi-transparent effect on the fabric over the chest which was really good. Was it just painting it and then glazing a dark/black colour over it? I am thinking of ways I could sell the effect of, like, a face behind a veil.
Cheers, I do love the look of the slaanesh stuff, it’s pretty bloomin cool. In regards to the sheer fabric, I will do a vid at some point, but all I really did was paint the flesh as I wanted, then I used black legion contrast, it was quite thinned down like 4 brushes of water to 1 brush of black, then I just neatly applied that to the area I wanted as sheer fabric. I did do some net effect on one to emulate a net body stocking, but that was just adding some criss cross effects on raised details. I hope that briefly answers the question
this video is what i actually been seeking on yt and i really like your guide step-by-step on how to paint slaneesh characters but tbh i dont feel confident enough to paint with The Army Painter, definetly is not my cup of tea.
Their fantastic range is very good, comparable to AK 3rd Gen, Two Thin coats, and as a GW employee for 20+ years, better than Citadel Colour. So worth giving it a go
Loved the video! Just a quick one, which weapons did you use on the Wood Elf Blood Bowl minis? Im making some Slaanesh Marauders at the moment and I'm keen to emulate some of your work.
Thank you 😍👍 In regards to the kitbash, I had loads of spare black ark corsairs, or whatever they’re called now lol (dark elf pirates). So I had plenty of spare arms from them, plus other such things like daughters of Khaine weapons, and dark eldar wych arms etc. but tbh you could use anything that looks a similar scale, maybe even spare weapons from the slaanesh kits, they’ll do okay I reckon. Also top tip, blood bowl minis are a great resource for open hands, so defo keep those for future conversion projects. Cheers
Oh yes, the Zestiest Chaos God Also I kinda have a weird idea to convert and paint up some Slaanesh-corrupted Iron Hands inspired by the Lionel Heresy AU
This video was helpful, but I do not think thirty six minutes was long enough to get deep into all of the nooks and crannies of Slaanesh. I think it should have been twice that at least, say about 69 minutes or so. Sure, producing something that long would be pretty hard, but you would definitely beat off any potential complaints that you finish too early.
Great video Peachy, love getting some more 'Army' style painting, considering how little time I get to paint I find myself using as many time saving and batch techniques as possible and saving the ""proper"" techniques for just the characters, and your style is perfect for this! Though PLEASE get some help with the thumbnails 😅 they are endearingly bad, which is endearing, but still... bad... lol
yep your totally right, i could've done, and for characters that's a cool next step, but really this was more about quick and simple methods to get those units done, i did highlight the cloth as i reckon folks will visibly be drawn to that, rather than getting hung up on little bits of leather. great feedback nonetheless cheers

Honestly I isn’t really consider doing reviews, but then I’m still finding my vibe, so I’m not going right it off, if anything I could introduce a review into a guide
Do you think you could do a video on applying transfers? 😅 they’re so tough!
absolutely, especially dealing with the different surface areas, types etc to work around
@@PeachyTips I bought 6 boxes of freeguild steelhelms and hopefully after doing so many transfers on their shields I’ll be a pro😅
The transfer sheet you get with the set is absolutely beautiful 😍😍
I’m planning on doing a game with these models but using the rules and stats from middle earth sbg
Ooh that’s sounds like a cool way to play using that rule system, after all it is pretty much the best rule set I’ve played
Those converted models that you showed at the beginning of the video are amazing....could you do a video about converting? And show us how you converted those models?
Btw, I painted 10 archers and concluded that 10 is enough for my army....too many details, as you said.
I can indeed do a video on converting, those slannesh folks and other such things are certainly things I want to cover down the line, thanks
I remember some of your "pirate elves" in a red-green scheme and those would also be interesting to see how you converted them
Great video. Love the solo channel. But I’m curious, why the Army Painter paint? Seems like a step back in quality from AK 3rd gen.
@@PeachyTips Thank you so much for the reply Peachy, yeah that's super helpful and I will look forward to the vid if and when you can do it x
Watching to see how peachy ties sharpe into the temple of excess 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha! Damn I feel I missed a trick, coming to a tv near you……‘Sharpes Sin’
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
this video is what i actually been seeking on yt and i really like your guide step-by-step on how to paint slaneesh characters but tbh i dont feel confident enough to paint with The Army Painter, definetly is not my cup of tea.
Their fantastic range is very good, comparable to AK 3rd Gen, Two Thin coats, and as a GW employee for 20+ years, better than Citadel
Colour. So worth giving it a go
Can you give us your opinion on the Fanatic paints range in a review vid please?
Loved the video! Just a quick one, which weapons did you use on the Wood Elf Blood Bowl minis? Im making some Slaanesh Marauders at the moment and I'm keen to emulate some of your work.
Thank you 😍👍
In regards to the kitbash, I had loads of spare black ark corsairs, or whatever they’re called now lol (dark elf pirates).
Cheers
Cheers! I'll see how I get on!
Crab claws. Mrs. Peach wouldnt need to borrow from the washing line to peg you with those.
Though as a Daemonette thats not the pegging you'd get lol
😂😂😂 she does like a bit of dressed crab
How did you make your shield stick to the painting handle ?
Ooh yes I should’ve mentioned that, it’s just a bit of blutac/sticky tack
Oh yes, the Zestiest Chaos God
Also I kinda have a weird idea to convert and paint up some Slaanesh-corrupted Iron Hands inspired by the Lionel Heresy AU
Will you be looking at some guide for Epic Punic Wars?
I’m certainly looking into it 👍
Painting hellbane is very scary, and trying to figure how to paint her like the box art..any tips. Or how to paint her
It's an interesting hack. Don't talk it down. Cheers.
From a gold undercoat, we're just going to start base coating some of the cloth
(Popping this here just in case you thought you were going a bit mad)
i checked the audio a few times, but this must've slipped in...and honestly im not sure why, next time a4th check is in order
@@PeachyTips I wouldn't worry about it, doesn't detract from the video, I had it on in the background and just thought I might be going a bit nuts!
So did my wife lol 😂
This video was helpful, but I do not think thirty six minutes was long enough to get deep into all of the nooks and crannies of Slaanesh. I think it should have been twice that at least, say about 69 minutes or so. Sure, producing something that long would be pretty hard, but you would definitely beat off any potential complaints that you finish too early.
😂😂😂
😂😂
Don't worry Peach. Nipples and buttcheek don't offend me - I'm actually a fan! Great video bud - look forward to seeing more!
😂👍
I think we got some hints as to what happend in the parking lot
😂😂😂
If that an upside down butt to the right of the screen behind you Peachy?
Ha! It does look like it, it’s actually a squeezy peach, but it really does look like a butt 😂😂😂
I spotted it after you did your Butt and nipple disclaimer and couldn’t unsee 😂
I too could not stop from looking at it. I was thinking it needs googly eyes as it sits silently judging us all.
Ooh google eyes…..that’s a great shout 😂
Shocked to hear that Slaanesh is your preferred chaos god
Great video Peachy, love getting some more 'Army' style painting, considering how little time I get to paint I find myself using as many time saving and batch techniques as possible and saving the ""proper"" techniques for just the characters, and your style is perfect for this!
Though PLEASE get some help with the thumbnails 😅 they are endearingly bad, which is endearing, but still... bad... lol
Cheers
Another chance to sit under the learning tree
What about Sharpe in Slaanesh 🤔
😂👍 I mean it’s doable lol
After seeing that thumbnail, have you considered getting a sponsorship from better help? Keep up the good work :)
😂👍
This will be great in 2059, too, when the Emperor's Children get a new mini.
😂😂😂😂 yeah we’ve been waiting awhile for that lol
dont want to be nitpicking but you could have done some highlights onto the black leather. its only an idea, would make the details better visable.
yep your totally right, i could've done, and for characters that's a cool next step, but really this was more about quick and simple methods to get those units done, i did highlight the cloth as i reckon folks will visibly be drawn to that, rather than getting hung up on little bits of leather.
great feedback nonetheless cheers
