Or you could revisit the old Warhammer Ancients rules...I still use them for my Celts and Romans, and Viking period massed battles.

Doh! This video came out just as I'd finished painting the last mini in my Battle of Five Armies box set (Middle-earth Warmaster). I had to learn all these lessons the hard way but at least I can confirm this is all excellent advice! The Epic stuff from Warlord is so tempting. I've been side-eyeing the Napoleonic stuff for a while.

Warlord needs to bring the price down on this starter set. The price of ACW Epic compared to this is ridiculous, with each new Epic set becoming more expensive

Lots of useful little tips and thought processes here. Especially the opportunities to be messy because you're painting a neighbouring part later. It's quite liberating on batch painting to allow yourself some shortcuts. These minis look great and the paintjobs are super effective for the table. Also Army Painter wash tones are absolutely brilliant.

You could clip the side sprues off first and just leave the feet attached too 😊 Edit: Oh looks like maybe you did on some?

I grew up in the 1970’s and 1980’s reading the Sharpe books and then watching the tv series. Your Battle Report is fantastic. I’m going to get a copy of Silver Bayonet and start playing. I love that you played the song from the tv show in your closing credits. Keep up the great work rifleman Peachy!
