- In this video I'm going wax lyrical about my love of Dwarfs, how i became introduced to them from an early age to working on the armies in the Studio.
I will also talk about the Dwarf tank that was never released, and throw in a Paint guide on these stalwart warriors.

Yep, great format love the combo with a bit of lore , memory lane and painting. This might be a good USP to differentiate between other painting guides 👍

Your old mini collection looks amazing! I'm of a similar age and got into the hobby at roughly the same time. I wish I'd kept all my old minis. Loving the trip down memory lane.
This type of video is great! Exactly what I was hoping for. Pure hobby, no drama, no whining and complaining, no super competitive meta stuff. Just painting some models and chatting. Really looking forward to future videos!

I went on a long walk and watched this through. Really great format, please do more! My only note is the music is quite loud in the mix. Does anyone else find it drowns out Peachy’s voice a bit (particularly at 21:10 plus)?

Peachy saying "These old models are pretty terrible and i don't like them" and I look at them and think they're amazing and certainly better than my painting at that age! They're great.

Thunder hawk blue is very much a paynes grey to me. It is quite a magical color. Like the fang, and wild rider red. Could be two different colors, somewhere inbetween.

You really prepared me to see painful paint jobs, Peachy, but those dwarves still look great even 20 years on, IMO! Especially since you didn't have the benefit of fantastic RUclips painting videos as a kid.

I always thought the Dwarves should have a tank. I would LOVE to see this kit come out for OLD world. I never played Warhammer Fantasy Battles but the Dwarves always caught my eye. A big land fortress would definitely have me jumping in the deep end of Old World.
I mean I guess it’s still possible, 🤞🤞🤞

Spoilers for the book Slayer: I could make the argument that Gotrek Gurnnisson was, and still is, the greatest Slayer in recorded Warhammer history as it was Grimnir who was the only entity able to "kill" Gotrek. Also, I have a bit of constructive criticism, while the music is great, sometimes, during the video, it's a bit overwhelming.
Yeah, I’m well annoyed with it too, on my PC and phone it seemed fine, but my wife is currently watching it and I’m in full cringe mode 🤦♂️
@@PeachyTipsDon't worry about it too much, video editing and streaming is a bit like that, you'll get it down to a science soon enough. Besides, the content carries through anyway!

I’m trying to remember why the tank wasn’t made. I think it was down to the powers that be thinking they wouldn’t recoup the tooling costs as it was much bigger than originally intended. It’s been a long time though and I could be conflating another project.
I think your right Tom, I remember it was that well received by some of the top brass
Khazukan Kazakit-ha! Love hearing people talk about their own connections towards certain armies, much appreciated. Shame about the tank, i think a troop carrier would be entirely fitting with the Dwarfs MO - I mean if the manlings can build one so can the Dawi!

Thankfully, I've kept my dwarf army with artillery, gyrocopters, anvil, Long Drong's Slayer Pirates, thunderers, miners and hammerers. Mine were in a woodland (brown, green gold and silver) scheme.

Love a good reminisce about starting out in the hobby. The smell of primer always makes me think of my dad helping me to prime my first batch of plastic 2nd ed goff orks about 25+ years ago. Loved this video format.

I remember that army book so well. Loved that era of dwarf minis. This has been a proper nostalgia trip.
Straight after making this video, I couldn’t help but look back over the army books and supplements of that era, not gonna lie, I think they’ll be more nostalgia trips enroute 😂👍

Good video Peachy, I enjoyed that it had different 'bits' to it. And dwarfs were the first army I ever used at the Chester store so I always love beardy bois! Guard or Empire would be cool as well.

Old world definitely has the best setting in Warhammer. Everyone has an army that speaks to them most. For me it’s always been orcs & goblins.
Finally some old world content! Loved the Dwarf painting and yes I’d totally buy a dwarf tank or 3, I started collecting in the 90s with a bunch of Dwarf Warriors, cannon, gyrocopter, slayers etc I loved some of those older sculpts and if they bring any back with made to order I’m probably going to buy them all and go broke.

I have that flame cannon still in its box ! Plus a goblin newer 30 pirates and about 80 metal longbeards and hammerers and 2 dozen metal slayers Love me some dwarfs but the metal chaps more so.

What a great in-depth look into your hobby journey! I never knew you were such a fan of the Old World Dwarfs! Thank you for sharing with us all! I remember I never wanted to play Dwarfs, but for some reason shortly after the release of Mordheim and using my Witch Hunters for a long time, I painted up a Dwarf warband to use at my local GW store and I tried painting them in NMM for the first time. They were so much fun to use, and I have such fond memories of them.
