@@AZombieDude83 why I love peachy or Lloyd and Duncan's style of videos is that they are 100% helpful and achievable. That Shadowkeeper in particular looks brilliant - thanks for giving us a chance to enjoy the colour schemes these guys come in other than just a bucket of gold paint being thrown at them!
This is super cool! I think most people get scared of doing Custodes because of the detail, but yeah they're not that hard honestly! And showing how to do it faster is pretty awesome!! Sweet and useful vid!
yeah i found it very hard to pick too, i certainly love the Purple and gold ones....the black ones were super quick to paint....but also im a big fan of cream and gold....naaaah who am i kidding i love 'em all!
Part of why those reds are either too orangey or too pinky is that the Army Painter's "pure red" is not really all that red compared to basically any other manufacturer's red. They focused on coverage with white pigment, instead of, say, what GW does to Mephiston. I am all for channels going heavy with a manufacturer, and most of those Fanatic paints work very well, but that "pure red" and that basilisk red, just like Pallid chalk flesh from GW, are great examples of why we should consider multiple manufacturers in our paint collection, instead of giant, single manufacturer sets.

Agreed, I’m sure some painters are super neat, but I can sort all that near the end with a few quick tidy ups. Every model has an ugly stage….its all good.

So for a lot of quick and easy gap filling….which I will roll into a video at some point. apply a bit extra superglue, or plastic glue, into the join, just do it so sits a bit proud of the robe, wipe with you finger or tissue. Then I have an old file I use and just gently file the area, the fillings and glue sort of mix together and make a great quick and easy filler. Sometimes you need to do a second pass after it’s dried as the glue can shrink a bit.
