i've been suffering from constant dizziness for 12 years! i've looked online for a cause. they only talk about "vertigo." I DON'T HAVE VERTIGO! i went to many damned doctors - NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THIS CONDITION! one doctor told me displaced bone fragments entering the ear canal could cause this. is that what "POSTERIOR canal BPPV" is? a catscan was done i revealed no bone fragments in either ear. can POSTERIOR canal BPPV be detected through a catscan?
and the CONSTANT dizziness continues. the severity of the dizziness varies only in intensity but NEVER goes away except when i'm asleep. i've had several MRIs scheduled but they always fall threw mainly because i'm too dizzy to lie still long enough for the MRI.
the entire medical profession has screwed me for 12 YEARS denying much needed medical care. they just don't know what the hell they're doing and they don't give a damn! I'VE SCREAMED ONLINE FOR YEARS - I NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION - AND NO ONE GIVES A DAMN!

Hello, if you are reading this comment, you’re probably going through the feelings of this. I just want you to KNOW that it’s ok! You will be okay! The feelings are just that.. feelings and sensations. They are ofc unpleasant but dwelling on them will increase the suffering. Know deep down that some way or another it will pass. Probably after doing what the video is showing.
Regardless, just want you to know that you will be fine. Blessings to you ❤

    • @ssman1337
      @ssman1337 8 месяцев назад +9

@@raquelmata7698 yes feeling nauseous is normal and common. just know that the anxiety is separate from the vertigo, you can actually feel vertigo and not feel anxious, the way to do this is that you have unshaken trust and faith that you will get through this. You WILL recover but give yourself time and be patient with yourself. Try the maneuver, once for at least 2 days.

A couple of years ago I was struck with severe dizziness. Tried to wait it out to see if it would go away, never did. Made an appt with an ENT and they did a boat load of tests only to be rudely told by a nurse that there was nothing they could find and they made an appt for me with a Neurologist. In the meantime I'm freaking out thinking that I've got a brain tumor or something. My husband told me to contact a Chiropractor. She saved my life. Did the epley maneuver and I felt like a whole new person after dealing with it for months and also, my back has never felt better lol

Many people don't understand that vertigo it's one of the most horrible things to ever exist. Because the effects don't just go away when it stops, you feel like vomiting you get the cold sweats in the shakes for at least 10 to 15 minutes after. So what happens all the time you'll be feeling like that constantly and you'll never want to move at all.

I was in a helicopter crash almost 10 years ago. I took a ~58g impact to my skull and face and the right side of my body. Everything healed up and I'm mostly ok now. While I was in the hospital, I noticed that every time I looked up and right, the room would start spinning. I didn't know what the problem was but I thought it must be really severe. I was still a long way from even walking, but I thought I would never drive or mountain bike again.
One of my physical therapy sessions ended with the PT doing an Epley maneuver and then me staying mostly still for the rest of the day. It fixed me and I've been fine ever since.
Yeah, the Epley maneuver is good stuff.

I DON'T HAVE VERTIGO! i went to many damned doctors - NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THIS CONDITION! one doctor told me displaced bone fragments entering the ear canal could cause this. is that what "POSTERIOR canal BPPV" is? a catscan was done i revealed no bone fragments in either ear. can POSTERIOR canal BPPV be detected through a catscan?
and the CONSTANT dizziness continues. the severity of the dizziness varies only in intensity but NEVER goes away except when i'm asleep. i've had several MRIs scheduled but they always fall threw mainly because i'm too dizzy to lie still long enough for the MRI.

This works 100000%. I thought i had a neurological issue as i suddenly started feeling extremely dizzy and sick and couldn't go about my day. I noticed it was worse when lying down ready to sleep especially when i turned my head to the right. A little search on google brought me here.
Did this every 30 mins (4 times altogether) on day one. Day two (3 times) and it was gone.

I woke up with sudden severe vertigo for the first time in my life the other day. My partner helped me to perform this procedure. We did it twice in a row, and it worked to remove the worst of it, thank goodness. If it doesn't work starting to one side, try it once more. If it still doesn't work try it on the other side. The nausea slowly went away after a few hours. 24 hours later I'm still mildly dizzy at times, but it seems to be slowly improving (I read that being a little nauseous/dizzy even after the procedure for a couple days is normal).

I had an vertigo attack last Monday again since a long time. From then on, I had the worst week ever.. I had multiple panick attacks because the dizzy feeling had me going crazy and a few times I almost called the GP (I don't know if this is the correct term as I am Dutch haha) but I was ready to get myself in a hospital bed basically because I couldn't stand the feelings I was havong..
I watched a lot of video's about BPPV and Menieres disease and came across this video.
I was very very scared to do this manouver and the first few attempts I tried yesterday I gave up immediately because I couldn't stand the vertigo happening again. After reading a lot of the comments I decided to try it again this afternoon..
I did it around 3 or 4 times in a row to find the right ear. When I started on my right side, nothing would happen but when I started left, once I turned to my right side the vertigo would come again. I held it until the vertigo subsided and laid there for a minute. The last time the vertigo was very bad on that side and I felt even worse after than I did before I tried the manouver.
Another few panic attacks later and being really scared I made it even worse, I tried it again just before dinner time. There was no vertigo on both sides, but ever since I did it the last time I have been feeling more myself again. I am still very woozy and floaty/dizzy, but the stuffed feeling in my left ear has disappeared, as is the tinnitus. I feel more energized and can do more around the house than just sitting on my couch and watch Netflix.
So for everyone who is scared to do it, I was aswell, but it has given me a lot of confidence that if I would get vertigo again, I don't have to suffer for a long time and can "just" do the epley manouver. For everyone wondering, I did not see a doctor yet, I have an appointment this Monday, so I decided to do this alone, without supervision and my doctor showing it to me first. 🫣

Update; I am now going from feeling good to feeling horrible back and forth. I keep trying to do the epley manouver but not a lot of vertigo is happening anymore so maybe I should stop now and just let it do it's thing.. Maybe my anxiety is making it bigger than it actually is? Because I've heard that a symptom of anxiety is also dizzynes...

Yeah, if you have vertigo and bad headaches, and you try this and it makes you feel worse, recognize this is the diagnosis doctors always make. I had seven doctors of one kind or another ignore what I described for two months before insisting on a CT scan that showed a brain tumor.
My PCP diagnosed two other patients in his practice immediately afterwards with brain tumors, also, which were being missed.

@@Kim.Miller I had a dermatologist look at a place on my right cheek a couple, three years ago. He was cavalier about it, said "not cancer," didn't biopsy it.
I didn't care for the guy, went to another dermatologist 15 months later. She said, "Not cancer, but we'll biopsy it." A week later I got the call, "Are you sitting down in private? The doctor would like to talk to you..."
Two weeks later, a surgeon cut out a hole in my right cheek about 2/3 the size and half the depth of a deck of cards. If the first guy had done his job, it would have been half that size, or less.
The very nice plastic surgeon lady did a nice job, but at the one-week checkup after debriding the area, she said, "Oops. Sorry about that." Twice. Not want you want to hear from your plastic surgeon.
I have what plastic surgeons technically call a "stupid face." Apparently, having "half a face-lift," it helps if you have saggy skin. Since I don't, blood flow was reduced because she had to stretch the skin so much.
At the two-week checkup, she and the nurse said, "That looks great! What happened??" She was expecting to do a skin graft.
I'd started taking NMN about eight weeks prior. I can't swear that's what did it, but I believe that and some other supplements improved blood flow that kept the skin from dying.

Had a severe concussion. Pretty sure I displaced crystals in both ear canals. Had to do this a couple of times but I felt relief immediately.

I just wanted to make a hopefully brief comment or 2. After suffering from a spinning sensation last night, I decided to try the epley maneuver again today since it appears that I do actually still have bppv. I started with the left side first and had a mild spinning reaction but not much. I went ahead and completed the maneuver with no more reaction. After 5 minutes I decided to do the right side and I had a major spinning sensation and reaction to the right side. I’m guessing I was treating the wrong ear. The spinning only lasted for a couple of seconds but it was intense but I stayed at it. After the spinning totally stopped, I went to the left ear but nothing happened. After 30 seconds I went to complete the procedure by turning to the left side and looking down and once again I had a major reaction for about 6-8 seconds and then it slowed down and stopped. I will probably do this maneuver again for another day or 2 and see what happens and I’m hoping to get better with my vertigo symptoms.

@@momonem5375 I am still feeling off balance and it is bothering me. Sometimes it is worse than other times. I almost took myself to the emergency room last night where I live because my head was feeling very heavy. But I went to bed and was able to sleep well despite this. I have heard that some people actually feel worse after having a successful epley maneuver session before they start feeling better but I don't know if that is the case for me or not. Maybe something is still repairing itself in my ear canals but again I don't know. I'm not feeling as bad right now but I am trying to be careful. I'm hoping this will start feeling better in a day or two.

@@lisaatansio4775 unfortunately no I don’t feel any better after my last few times doing the epley maneuver. I just tried it again the other day and I am not going to mess with it anymore. The past few times I’ve had no reaction and I do honestly feel worse now. I don’t think I have bppv anymore. I’m thinking I have persistent positional posteral dizziness. I probably spelled one of those p words wrong but my head feels constantly heavy and way unbalanced all the time. I’m going to see an ent on august 20th but until then I just have to suffer and endure this misery. With all that being said, you might have better success with the epley maneuver and I truly hope you do if you still plan on trying it. The epley maneuver doesn’t work for everyone all the time and I’m one of the those people. I wish you the best with your issues.

    Interesting:
Superoxide dismutase: an enzymic function for erythrocuprein (hemocuprein), 1969
Superoxide dismutase is an important enzyme responsible for adrenal conversions among many things. This enzyme contains and needs copper. Also turns out that levels are low in bppv:
Serum levels of superoxide dismutases in patients with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, 2020
Reduced serum levels of SOD were associated with higher risk of BPPV and BPPV recurrence events.
Also, superoxide dismutase is significantly lower in depression, and is raised after antidepression treatment.
SOD might even clear up sinuses.
Malondialdehyde levels and superoxide dismutase activity in experimental maxillary sinusitis, 1999
Ie SOD is upregulated when there is threat of sinusitis, but when you don't have copper that's not possible. I took about 7mg of copper today (without dairy or fruits) and my sinuses are clearing up right now

@The Richest Man In Babylon yes me too. Nothing to worry about though I think. I’m still taking minerals including copper during the day, but the cornerstone is EDTA before sleep and in the morning if I wake up early. Takes care of any inflammatory process for me and generally.

I'm right side affected and confused. More than 30-60 seconds into the first 45 degrees of the maneuver, my eyes are still in nystagmus, sometimes violently, and it doesn't calm down for several minutes before proceeding. Should I continue through the next steps, regardless of my nystagmus and nausea or wait until calm? I had previously been instructed to wait until it calmed before proceeding. I wish there was a way to zap and destroy the crystal and stop this crazy thing. It gets kicked up at the worst times. During dental appointments, especially. People think I'm drunk. Embarrassing.

Dental procedures are considered to be a possible cause of BPPV. There are some studies suggesting it.
