I finished my workout this morning and while still laying on my mat I turned my head and the BPPV hit and it was horrible! I couldn't move. I tried to get up and go to the bathroom and collapsed, I was stuck and couldn't move. My kids thought I was having a seizure because of my eye twitching. We finally figured out this is what it was and the maneuver worked great!

I woke up with vertigo yesterday. I hadn't had it since August. I was dizzy and nauseated. I tried this technique. I counted slowly to 45 while my head was back, then counted to 45 while my chin was to my chest. Yes, it made me feel dizzy, but when I sat up, I felt better. Within 15 minutes, I felt 90% better!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. FAUQUIER!!!! I woke up feeling fine today, as well.

THIS WORKED FOR ME! I’m a 48-year-old male from the UK. I developed what I soon realised was vertigo on a Friday evening whilst laying in bed. It was horrific, spinning followed by vomiting more spinning and vomiting. I’ve never felt so out of control in all my life, completely debilitating and exhausting. This went on all weekend until on the Sunday when I was able to sit down and have a look at some RUclips info on the condition , I found the Epley manoeuvre and gave it a go immediately twice on the right side with no obvious effects and then once on the left. As soon as I rolled my head over I could feel the spinning and my wife said that my eyes were twitching like mad, I just managed to control it so I wasn’t sick. I went through the manoeuvre holding for 60 seconds in the 3 positions, until I eventually set up. I still felt terrible and it didn’t immediately stop the nausea side of the condition so I went to bed sat up slightly. I woke up at 2 o’clock in the morning for the first time without the room swimming in four days I could’ve cried! I rolled over where I would normally have been back in a flat spin. I went straight back to sleep and woke up like nothing had ever happened. Thank Goodness, my relief was insane. I’d encourage anyone to give it a try.

My husband has coached me through my last 2 occurrences of BPPV vertigo, observing the direction of my eye movements and then directing me through the appropriate head movements: they REALLY work, and can be done at home, immediately when symptoms begin... Fyi: there is a lag before the nausea or woozy feeling abates, but immediately after the series of movements are done, you do feel a little better, and you continue to improve steadily after that. These Fauquier ENT videos are incredibly helpful; thank you so much.

I been feeling dizzy for about two-three years on and off. I am 62 year old male. Sometimes it would last two weeks at a time. Usually I would feel dizzy when getting out of bed. And all I wanted to do was lay down. I also, noticed when I did some exercise on my Orbital machine trainer I could hear like a loose clicking sound in my right ear. I thought it might be a foreign object or so. I tried a few minor possible solutions and none worked. No, I did not go to the doctor as I don't like to take toxic drugs with the many side affects, etc.So the other day, I tried your technique....WOW....I am so glad I did. It took like a total of 5 minutes to do. It now been a week with no symptoms...getting up, exercising or whatever...and I feel great!!!! And no more clicking noise in the right ear either.I have researched so many websites for possible cures/solutions and none helped as NO One posted any real solutions. All I can say, thank you Dr. Christopher Chang, you are a great person in posting this video that really works. I feel all the other so called doctors only want your money and be dependent on a life time of toxic drugs.Again...you have restored my life with no cost but your generosity of helping people.
I also truly recommend that you watch this video (Easy Head Balance Exercises Treat All Types Of Vertigo ), click here:get-videos.website/curevertigo/

It's important to know what kind of BPPV you have because if you mismatch the maneuver to your particular manifestation, it can do more harm than good. In my case, I was doing something similar to this - not for BPPV but to give my painful, stiff neck some traction via gravity (head hanging off foot of bed) - and the room started spinning. I thought the extension was helpful to counteract the flexion of looking at the computer, phone, books and other activities that involve looking toward the floor (flexion) but it backfired on me. When I got up I could no longer look down, to the left or lie on my back without becoming nauseated. I had done this DIY "stretch" numerous times until it actually triggered BPPV. A chiropractor is currently helping me to recover. If you have any degenerative condition of the cervical spine, get a doctor's recommendation for what type of BPPV maneuvers apply to your situation.

    • @tomslick2058
      @tomslick2058 Год назад +1

Your right. This is not how you strech your neck. Even though this appears slow and easy. It's a form of whiplash. The angle is to steep. . So you better have a good neck trying this.

For many years I've had a sensation that I can only describe as dizziness. It's a very hard sensation to put into words. It has completely ruined my life. It's been like this for so long that I've literally forgotten what it feels like to feel normal. I have given up on feeling normal ever again and have accepted this. However, I went to a new doctor today and he said it sounds like I have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Feeling normal again would be the greatest gift I could ever receive. It is so bad that I would without hesitation choose feeling normal again instead of getting $1 billion. I pray to God that this treatment works and that it finally makes my suffering go away.

This is safe to do on one's own. It's a battle for sure but I keep doing it until my vertigo is gone whenever that will be. Could take 1-2 months if not longer. Be patient. I immediately called my family doctor and I got an appointment the same day. After ruling out some other medical cause, he did a test where I moved my head on the right and left side.

@@fatmamert4718 Hello, damn it's been so long since that post and I should note out that my vertigo episodes have started to fade off bit by bit from the day I started. I made use of the specific maneuver only a handful of times throughout the months that followed after my first attempt. Most of them were pretty successful as I had instant and good results, although the whole process was a pain to get through lol... After a certain point the constant dizziness I had completely disappeared and would only occur temporarily after what seemed to be the prolonged use of over-ear headsets. I discovered that my vertigo episodes were strongly linked to migraines that stem from some type of headache called compression headache that are essentially caused by the constant application of pressure on the skull for long periods of time. These first appeared when the constant dizziness I told you about, started going away. So as of current, if an intense migraine were to happen I'd first get a vertigo episode for quite a few hours before it started but then would certainly disappear as soon as the migraine ended. In contrast, I think these maneuvers could help anyone with vertigo problems but I doubt that it would serve as full treatment... I consider it to be more of a temporary and handy solution.

I’m suffering bppv at the moment. I had it for 10 days now, i hope it will cure soon. I have 3 month old baby and a toddler. Everytime i have episodes I worry about them, i felt sick most of the time. I need to overcome
This vertigo because there’s two children relying on me. Please God, heal me, heal everyone who have vertigo at the moment. Amen..

Благодарю, ЭТО то, что мне помогло за три дня. После отита вернулось головокружение, никакие другие упражнения не помогли, кроме этого. Большая благодарность тому, кто придумал и тому, кто выложил видео.

I started to experience Vertigo in my mid 40's. It is no joke. The first time I experienced like i was going to fall over although i was in my bed, head spinning and nauseous. I didnt know what it was. It took about 2 days to normalize. Terrible. Then it happened agian years later. I found the Epley Manuveur that helped tremendously. Vertigo is terrible but so far I have been able to solve the crystal in the ear issue. Thank God!

I woke up one morning and I felt like I was dying😢 the dizziness was so bad it was a constant loop of torture. Nausea and vomiting was the worst of it. This has happened to me 4 times in the past year. I went to my Dr and no one knew what was wrong with me. I thought it was was blood pressure or my thyroid. Im still not sure what’s wrong but my best guess is BPPV. I know it’s going to come back again so I’m saving these videos for when it does I hope it works😅 glad to see I’m not alone.

Saturday night was first time ever experiencing this type of Vertigo. I’m a side sleeper and when I went to bed and turned my head I had the feeling that my whole bed went up in the air on its side and I was falling off the bed. Weirdest feeling ever, next day and night same thing when I tilted my head in same position but with nausea. Found this video and Thank You! Worked the first time, felt the feeling but stayed with it and completely gone.

This worked amazing and if it doesn't work for some try Epley Maneuver it really does work like a charm

Check the videos before attempting these there are three types of canal in each inner ear. Superior canal = vertical plane up and down head movement so like an aircraft pitch up and down.. 2nd there is lateral canal = left right across the horizontal plane so like aircraft yaw. 3rd there is posterior canal with head movement through the vertices and horizontal planes a bit like aircraft roll. All three have different manoeuvres. 1 superior requires head hanging 2 lateral require lempert 3 posterior requires epley.
Then there's which ear left or right and testing to I'd the ear.
I am unlucky enough to have 3 posterior bppv first in the left ear 2013 where I had to go to casualty because I had no clue. Then in 2016 posterior right ear left unable to walk in a car park. Casualty again. Then to find out I have also vestibular impairment in right ear. So eye balance cordination can get a bit out of wack.

I have hard time looking down like looking under bed chair with feeling of dizziness. I just started yoga with a yoga wheel . I learned it helps my back it really has me when I fall gently backwards with wheel . I have pillow underneath to comfort my head . When I find that comfortable spot with back n head. Its very relaxing. I have noticed it also helps my head lot. Especially when I need to look under bed for something. It helps my back pain, my dizziness, coordination strength balance. And when I come up with wheel I go up slowly with wheel. Kind of like letting wheel control my body in relaxation mood

This also happens to some people as they get older....about age 50 or more. I remember reading this somewhere and it made sense to me as the first time I had a bout with vertigo was at age 55.

I am going to try this. I have had very sudden onset vertigo for the past 2 days. Just woke up with it. This has not been a problem for me in the past. At present I cannot drive due to getting dizzy every time I move my head in certain ways. This is a problem. Hoping this works. I have been a RN for 30 years in home health. Never heard of this before. All my patients with vertigo were just Rx meds. for it. Evidently not a lot of MDs are aware of this.

I did this exercise and i was all good the next day. I was laying down in the same posture as in the video. however, I paused in that position for 10-15 seconds and then I rotated my head to left side and paused for another 10-15 second (my head spin hardly for 5 second and then it was okay) and then I rotated my head on the right side and paused for abour 30 seconds or till ny head stopped spinning. i had an issue with right ear only because I was more dizzy when I rotated head in right side. I did this exercise twice and was okay. I normally don't post stuff like this but i really hope this will help someone.

I did the other kind of epley maneuver but I also somehow got to know that when I tilt my neck right side i feel more dizzy, so I also found that problem is with my right ear, I did the exercise today as shown and now feeling quite better. But is it need to be repeated. Also a question is did you find that a crystal like something felt to move in the ear during this process
