    Minneapolis was considered the nicest cleanest metro city in the country up until the last couple decades. Cool carp fishing though.

      Luckily, we have amazing fishing outside of the city we can enjoy! Minneapolis is garbage.

    Nice spot, there is an urban river here in New Orleans that looks identical to that one you were fishing except it doesn't have an amzing bridge like yours not to my knowledge anyways, it has a wall on one side of it and seems deep though. Now I'm going to have to try fishing it.

      We have always wanted to go down to Louisiana for Reds! Not sure if we would be brave enough to adventure New Orleans without a guide haha.

      @@KutthroatOutdoors It's not dangerous at all where the canals are. The only places that are skechy here are in the middle of the ghettos, of course the projects, and far to the east side the lower 9nth ward. Everywhere else which is a very wide range area is safe.

      Yeah once the river goes down is the best time to hit that spot … when waters are calm

    I guess you can't eat the fish out of that river anymore? My dad used to swim in the Mississippi River back in the 1920s!

    Greetings from California!!
    What rod are you using? Make and wt?

    • @KutthroatOutdoors
      @KutthroatOutdoors  Год назад

      Hello! The rod is a Cabelas brand 5 wt. We have a 8 wt. St croix that does amazing with bigger fish. Definitely go with the 6-8 wt. if you are looking to catch urban river fish!

    • @KutthroatOutdoors
      @KutthroatOutdoors  4 месяца назад

      That’s a 6 weight, but we recommend a 8 weight for heavier fish.

    Highly recommend bringing a firearm, concealed carry if you have a permit, when you solo fish metropolitan city areas. On more than one occasion people have attempted to rob me while I was alone fishing in areas similar to where you are fishing.
