Because no one spends the amount of money required to have a car this clean on such a low end platform. This level of investment is saved for s2000's or more expensive cars. That said a very clean clean car brought up to perfect.

I've seen a few this clean, but they are definitely rare. Mine is a 2003 and isn't perfect, but definitely cleaner than the majority.
I had a red 93' Integra which I bought in 96' and drove for 9 years and 430,000km until I finally traded it in an got a new 2005 RSX Type S in pearl white which I still have with only 205,000Km. Nothing really goes wrong with these cars which is why they kept them the same year after year. I absolutely love my RSX and will drive it until the end of its life which will hopefully be another 15 years. My car looks really clean and sounds new but, I am now going all around and trying to fix and protect all the rust spots. I wish I had gained the knowledge I have today earlier in life, as my car would have been in even better shape. RUclips is a great source of educational material. I have saved at least $10,000 worth of labour and saved on part replacements including rebuilding calipers, dropping my transmission and replacing my clutch, engine mounts, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, O2 sensor....and so on. Not having money makes you go and learn to do things yourself.
I think that rebuilding that RSX with the teenager would have given him a bigger appreciation for car and how everything works. He's one lucky kid that's for sure and I'm happy for him.

I've never understood how cars can be driven so infrequently. I just rolled 248k on my 2003 type-s. Anyway, its a very nice example.

Watching this video made me miss my 02 rsx type S. I loved that thing. Mine was desert silver with spoiler and fog lights all oem. Got rid of it at 110k miles though. Was such a great car.

The kid will do what all kids do with their first car and abuse it unless this is a Bunta/Takumi situation. I doubt this one will remain stock and in good condition for too much longer once the kid gets it. I'm willing to bet the intake box will be replaced within a year.

as much as i loved having 06 type s back in the day, getting stuck in a midwest heavy snow storm during the thick of rush hour for 3 hours was enough to make me throw in the towel as far as manual transmission is concerned. 😭😂
i really wanted an 06 blaze orange type s but by this time the rsx was already being phased out and allocation out there was next to nothing so i settled for the pearl white.

Had a Milano red 2002 I bought new. Sure, it eventually turned pink and had the typical Honda rust in the wheel wells but ran perfectly for the 11 years I had it. Still wish I would have kept it and restored it instead of trading it in when the kiddies arrived.

I have an 06' Type-S with Aspec Package that I purchased 3 years ago with 48k miles. Now its sitting at just over 55k miles. Car was originally from Pittsburgh, so suspension, brakes & some engine components have some surface rusting. I will be restoring what I can & replacing/upgrading what I can't restore.

There’s many options out there. Hope you find the one that fits you so you can too move the restoration forward
Tein makes a good budget coilover for the rsx. BCRacing is probably the best coilovers for the money though!
@@adonsky_ Tein would be my option if it came with its own shock mounts.. as of now I have to go with the eBay Godspeed until I can save enough for BC coilovers

I'm kinda jealous of how easily those door handles go on and off the car. I wish they would have had that design for the integra!
Integra door handles aren't too bad also, just need a pair of smaller hands, ha!
@@ahcgarage That and you have to make sure you don't drag the handle on the door skin when you have to re-thread the bushing on the linkage. I was sweating bullets when i painted my door handles off the car and was trying to reinstall them with brand new paint!
I have a similar condition 02 type s. Same color too. I’m selling it to get a 350Z, but this makes me want to change my mind
Selling it and getting a 350Z Nismo HR would be worth it but if your getting a normal Z with a DE then not worth it at all

Interesting to see it be so clean but some odd things I noticed, has doors and dash aspec trim…no center console trim and no exterior aspec package on car. Such a clean car but some mismatch inconsistencies. I added aspec trim fully in to mine and have oem outside to install on my 06 Milano s once painted. Very clean car. I was shocked to find mine w110k oem stock. Very rare find nonetheless on this had same rsx as my first manual 02 SSM drove it till the New England weather had its way with it. Gonna protect my new one better from nature!

Hi Mike, they don't make these cars anymore and they have to be looked after. The Wife keeps saying to me sell that Type R you have ,you hardly drive it and hardly get in it because you have a bad back. I ain't selling it, when I do get in it look out! We'll be pushing some speed hahaha

@AHC Garage... a little of topic ,when you adjusted the final ride hight of the blue tlx on the bc's ,does the back sit sligly lower then the front? i had my tlx lowerd on the bc's as well & the dealer told me in order to keep the car looking level the back has to be little lower then the front , i want the even wells gap all around but the told me the back would stick up..while the front sticks down ...thank you sir
We adjusted our height to have an even wheel gab from front to rear

I have one for sale. Same silver color. Super clean (maybe not quite as clean as the one in the vid). All original motor and transmission. Lightly modded but comes with all stock parts. 150k miles. No body kit (means no drilling is done into the body)
